Love this hotel. This is our 4th visit. Sad to be going home tomorrow but already going to book for May & September next year. The staff are wonderful especially Vicky whom I now consider a new friend and will keep in contact with. The entertainment staff have been awesome. Eleanor, Julia and Mateo are brilliant. Absolutely loved aqua gym the 2 weeks I’ve been here and the activities have been lovely 💜

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The location was great, and our room was clean, tidy and well looked after. A special mention to the cleaner, who was very attentive and did a fantastic job despite us being in and out of the room throughout the day. There was a good choice of options available for both breakfast and dinner, so we were always able to find something we enjoyed. We also had lunch a couple of times which was great. Staff were very attentive although maybe a little too quick at clearing plates sometimes. There were a couple of negatives. Key fobs for rooms failed repeatedly through the week (3x my husband 1x me) meaning we had to keep going and getting them changed. Husband also had an issue with his safe but this was rectified straight away so kudos for that. The bathroom layout was a little unusual, with the toilet and showe being in separate cubicles with the sink located in the middle of the room, which didn’t provide much privacy. It was also quite difficult to get a sunlounger around the pool, particularly at busy times. We had seen previously that inflatables weren't allowed and that sunloungers shouldn't be reserved but there was no-one enforcing these rules. Also the strict dress code for dinner didn't really materialise either. Overall, we had a really enjoyable holiday and would consider staying here again.

Had a one bedroom apartment, dining/living area, large shower with waterfall head, small kitchenette for basic cooking/making drinks. Lovely large comfortable bed. Both dining/living room and bedroom with separate aircon units. Small patio with 2 recliners and an outside table with chairs. Away from the bar/pool area so nice and quiet. Staff are great especially the animation team, who provide a number of activities during the day. Ability to swap dinner for lunch at the buffet restaurant or you can even book the Mar's buffet restaurant for a little better quality food and a wider choice (Plus many dishes are kept in dishes so remain hot). Pool, one is a bit worse for wear, the other is shallower but nicer and is where the music is playing. Get there too late and you may struggle to find a recliner or shade. Easy access to the promenade for a walk with access to the local shops/bars/restaurants and beach. On the flight path to the airport but not too noisy. Accommodation is in a variety of blocks, single or double height.

Just got back from a brilliant solo trip to Barceló Fuerteventura Castillo. If you’re traveling alone and want somewhere that feels safe, laid-back, and high quality, this is it. Instead of a big, impersonal hotel block, you stay in these great little bungalows that give you plenty of space and privacy. The location is perfect—right on a lovely, calm beach and close to the marina for nice evening walks. The buffet was excellent with loads of fresh options, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, which is always nice when you're on your own. It's a big resort so there's plenty to do, but it's just as easy to find a quiet corner by one of the pools and completely switch off. Highly recommend it for a hassle-free solo getaway. I'd definitely go back!

Amazing location, you can literally see the sea from the restaurant and walk out the gates straight onto the beach! Restaurant great, rooms good apart from shower only had a tiny splash screen so water gets everywhere. Room cleaning needs improving, floors got so gritty grubby after a week without being cleaned, otherwise great service from staff. The pools were nice, some salt water but seemed fine, the kid zone splash tower seemed a bit hazardous as the bottom of the pool was like rough concrete. Enough to do around for a week but probably not longer, recommend trip to the wildlife park. P.S. the buffet in the Mar hotel is twice the size so worth booking a meal over there one day. Stayed August 2026.
