Lovely place to stay. We had an issue unfortunately with ants in our first room and the lady on reception was so helpful in finding us a brilliant new place and actually closer to the main hotel. Went all inclusive so had access to barcello mar which is ten minute walk or so along the beach. Both places are brilliant. Going to Mar was better for the pool as unfortunately the heater in the pool at castillo is broken so it’s quite cold even in glorious sunshine. Castillo we felt had the better food options and you don’t need to book for breakfast lunch or dinner. Catarina is the head of entertainment at Castillo during the day she was fun and would find us to let us know what time to head down for various entertainment. We can know make a lovely sangria! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa is fantastic highly recommend. Evening entertainment at Mar is good camp fun. Thank you.

Catching up with a review from a stay earlier in the year. This place really is something special! The accommodation is great and the housekeepers really do an amazing job, well done to the housekeeping team for keeping the rooms so welcoming and clean. We had a ground floor bungalow including private terrace and table/chairs and sun-loungers, it was perfect. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the grounds and pool areas are beautiful. The restaurant, terraces and bar areas are immaculate and modern. The food here is nice and there is lots of choice. The location is amazing, right next to the beach. It is so relaxing. More chilled and laid back than Corralejo but here lays the charm. Definitely one of our favourite resorts for an overseas holiday!

Just got back from a brilliant solo trip to Barceló Fuerteventura Castillo. If you’re traveling alone and want somewhere that feels safe, laid-back, and high quality, this is it. Instead of a big, impersonal hotel block, you stay in these great little bungalows that give you plenty of space and privacy. The location is perfect—right on a lovely, calm beach and close to the marina for nice evening walks. The buffet was excellent with loads of fresh options, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, which is always nice when you're on your own. It's a big resort so there's plenty to do, but it's just as easy to find a quiet corner by one of the pools and completely switch off. Highly recommend it for a hassle-free solo getaway. I'd definitely go back!

Very nice hotel at amazing location with somewhat questionable standards. The location - Amazing location in a protected bay. Beautiful beach right outside the door with many possibilities. You can also use other Barcelo hotel facilities which is fantastic. The food - Above average, nice tasting experiences, variability during the stay. The Staff - friendly and helpful The facilities - Amazing possibilities, animations and evening shows, very high quality. Nice pools and children animations. The negatives - For us the Hotel could be better maintained, the main pool by the castle was dirty and one day even clogged which was disgusting. However, the issue was fixed the next day. We felt like the Hotel could have better hygiene and cleanliness standards (dirty common areas, unmaintained common toilets, sun loungers by the pool covered in bird dropping not cleaned). Otherwise a very nice vacation in Barcelo Castillo :)

Room looking a bit tied from last year but easy fixed by a repaint. Service you can't fault, on a all inclusive so usually alcohol and soft drinks available from 10 to 10:30. Food is usual buffet food, mainly salads, fish, pork and veal. But if your vegetarian or vegan just book a meal in advance and they will make you something amazing. Been to several Barceló hotels in fuerteventura and lanzarote not sure i would go anywhere else.
