Our family had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Citadel across rooms 271, 272, 273, and 274. The overall service was excellent, and the rooms were kept perfectly clean. I want to give a special mention to Prabashana and Govinda from the housekeeping team. They were incredibly helpful and very good at their work. We requested a baby cot from the hotel, and they went out of their way to help us set it up and place it perfectly in the room. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Our stay at Cinnamon Citadel Kandy from 21st to 24th August was very comfortable and a truly well-deserved break. We loved the peaceful setting, especially relaxing by the river, the beautiful greenery, and the charming colonial atmosphere of the hotel. The warm smiles and hospitality of the staff made our stay even more special. A special thank you to Room Boy Sanjaya, who kept our room clean, tidy, and comfortable throughout our stay. We would also like to thank Danushka, the Food & Beverage Manager, for his attentiveness and care towards all guests. The food was delicious and clearly prepared with great passion. Last but not least, thank you to the bar team, Ishara, Hashini, and Yathesh, for the wonderful cocktails and mocktails. We especially enjoyed the new raspberry-based mocktail, which was delicious, refreshing, and one of the highlights of our stay. Thank you to the entire Cinnamon Citadel team for a memorable stay. We left feeling refreshed and look forward to visiting again.

We had a wonderful family stay at Cinnamon Citadel Kandy on 1st October 2026, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff made our stay even more special. On the morning of 2nd October, we had breakfast at the restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious with a great variety of choices. A special mention goes to Ashmini, the host, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. We would also like to especially appreciate Thakshila, who looked after us with exceptional care and a genuinely pleasant attitude. She continuously checked on everyone and, most importantly, paid special attention to our children and their needs. Her thoughtful and caring service truly stood out and made our breakfast experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Cinnamon Citadel is a very friendly and welcoming hotel with excellent hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for giving our family such a wonderful experience and for helping us create beautiful memories together. We truly appreciate your warm service and look forward to visiting again! ❤️🙏

I had a very pleasant stay at Cinnamon Citadel Kandy and overall came away quite happy with the experience. The hotel has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to get away from the busier parts of Kandy and simply unwind. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the general environment around the hotel is quiet and calm. One of my favourite parts of the property is the outdoor balcony area of the restaurant. It overlooks the river and surrounding greenery, which creates a lovely setting for enjoying a meal, especially when the weather is nice. The swimming pool is another highlight. It is located right next to the river, so spending some time by the pool feels particularly relaxing. Having a drink from the pool bar while enjoying the view and peaceful surroundings is a great way to spend the afternoon. There is also a Chutneys restaurant located near the pool, which is a nice addition for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine and wants something different during their stay. The main downside is that the hotel does show its age in certain areas. Some parts of the property can feel a little dated and could benefit from refurbishment or modernization. However, this didn't significantly affect my overall experience. Despite showing its age in places, Cinnamon Citadel Kandy remains a comfortable and relaxing hotel with a beautiful riverside setting. Overall, I was happy with my stay and would consider returning.
