We had such a great stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help, which really made a difference. They also had local performers come and dance by the pool. One of our favorite touches was having local artists come to the hotel to sell their art, we bought a few pieces and loved being able to take that experience home with us. The food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner, and Chef Ranga truly makes the best salads. We also had our laundry done during our stay, and it came back clean, perfectly ironed, and ready the very same day, all for a really affordable price. Overall, a wonderful stay with amazing views. We’d happily come back.

Sasi at the Citadel All Day Dining outlet provides truly excellent service. He is always friendly, attentive, and very professional with guests. From the moment you arrive, he makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Sasi pays great attention to detail and is always ready to help with a smile. His positive attitude and dedication to good service really enhance the dining experience. It’s staff members like Sasi who make visiting Citadel special. His hospitality and commitment to guest satisfaction are outstanding.

We had a fantastic stay at Cinnamon Citadel. The hotel is in a fabulous location - quiet but not too far from Kandy, with beautiful views overlooking the river. The rooms are lovely - housekeeping staff were really friendly and always made the rooms look lovely. The food on offer was delicious and the restaurant staff went above and beyond to look after us during our stay - special mention to Imashi and Gamini who really went the extra mile!

Our family had a truly memorable experience at Cinnamon Citadel Kandy. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and offered breathtaking views overlooking the Mahaweli River. Waking up to that serene river view was one of the highlights of our stay and made the experience feel both relaxing and special. The dining experience was exceptional, particularly breakfast and lunch. The quality, variety, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. A special mention to the outstanding F&B team—Sasi, Jayantha, Sandun, Nissanka, and Lakshan—who went above and beyond with their warm, attentive, and professional service. We would also like to commend Janaka from the pool team for his friendliness and excellent service, which made our poolside time especially enjoyable for the whole family. Special mention to Christina who went above and beyond to find a doctor for my son who was unwell. She is truly an asset to the Hotel . Overall, Cinnamon Citadel Kandy offers a perfect blend of comfort, scenic beauty, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing and high-quality stay in Kandy.

We recently had lunch at Chutneys inside the Cinnamon Citadel Hotel with my parents and grandmother, and as a fully vegan family, we initially found the menu quite challenging. Unfortunately, the menu was not very vegan-friendly and had very limited vegetable-based options. However, what truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible service and care we received. Chef Chathura personally came out to speak with us and was kind and thoughtful enough to create traditional rice and curry dishes specially to accommodate our dietary restrictions. He was absolutely lovely, checking on us throughout the meal, making sure the food was to our liking, and ensuring we were comfortable. The food he prepared was absolutely delicious and full of flavor, and his sweetness and consideration truly stood out. We were also wonderfully taken care of by the hotel staff, Sandakelum and Samantha, who greeted us warmly and provided excellent service from start to finish. They made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Despite the initial lack of vegan options, the genuine hospitality, effort, and kindness shown by the entire team made this a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend, and we will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful service!
