Hikkaduwa is a popular area with tourists from around the world, and is known for its vibrant nightlife. If you fancy venturing out, you’ll find restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk, and more as you keep walking along the coast. The historic city of Galle is within easy reach of Hikka Tranz, just 20km away. This area of Sri Lanka is a great destination for seeing some wonderful wildlife. The hotel can provide a number of experiences and excursions during your stay, including whale watching (October to April), diving and nature walks amongst many others.

We had an amazing stay at Hikka Tranz. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful beyond our expectations. The hotel’s beautiful and spacious architecture creates a relaxing and elegant atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Our room was large, spotless, and tastefully designed, with comfortable beds and a stunning ocean view that offered breathtaking sunrise views and the calming sound of waves. The location is perfect with direct access to Turtle Beach, where we were lucky enough to see sea turtles up close. The buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious Sri Lankan and international dishes. Special thanks to the Manager, Mr Ruwan, and the entire team for their exceptional service.

Wonderful stay at Hikka Cinnamon! Thank you for the excellent service and warm hospitality. Ew had all inclusive package and have to say that the food was delicious :). The beachfront location is simply stunning. The garden and pool area are beautiful, ocean breeze keeps everything pleasantly cool, and spotting sea turtles right on the beach was a special bonus. A heartfelt thank you to all the amazing people at the hotel - especially room attendant Thanushi, the restaurant and pool bar staff, the masseur, and the friendly security guards. We had an wonderful holiday with my sister and her husband. This is defenitely an hotel I would love to return again.

Our stay at Hikka Tranz Hotel in Hikkaduwa was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and has a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and very diverse, offering a wide variety of delicious options every morning. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and always smiling, which made our experience even more special. Thanks to them, our stay here was truly phenomenal. We also felt extremely safe during our entire stay. There is security present throughout the property, and the hotel feels very well protected. You can even leave your belongings by the pool in the courtyard without worry, it feels very secure and well organized. I also had an amazing experience at the spa. My therapist, Shamil, gave me a full body deep tissue massage and it was absolutely phenomenal! Shamil was extremely professional, attentive, and highly skilled. He immediately identified the areas where I had tension and worked on them perfectly. The pressure was just right, strong and therapeutic, yet very relaxing at the same time. After the massage, I felt completely refreshed, relaxed, and free of any muscle tension. It was truly one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I highly recommend both staying at this hotel and booking a massage with Shamil, you won’t regret it!

I keep returning to this hotel time after time, and once again my vacation here was truly wonderful. The level of service in the hotel is excellent, both at the pool bar and in the restaurant. I would especially like to highlight the pool bar staff — Kumara, Janaka, Damidu, Viraj, and Mendis Hirunika. Their service and attention to guests were outstanding. The cocktails prepared by Kumara were absolutely amazing and made every visit to the pool bar a real pleasure. I would also like to sincerely thank Dinesh for the impeccable housekeeping. The room was cleaned perfectly every day, and his towel figures were simply delightful. This was my fifth stay at this hotel, and I keep coming back because of the exceptional service, genuine care for guests, delicious food, and incredibly friendly staff. I have known some of the employees since 2015, especially Kumara, whose professionalism and warm attitude are a big reason why I want to return again and again. However, I cannot fail to mention one significant issue that the hotel has — the lack of room renovation. I believe the owners and hotel management should pay close attention to this. The bathrooms have not been renovated for a long time, there are some signs of mold, and a few other maintenance issues. I truly hope the management will address this, as most of the negative reviews are related specifically to the fact that the rooms urgently need renovation. Despite this, the service and people working here make this hotel very special.

The hotel is in a great location right on the beach with good swimming and snorkeling. The grounds are very nicely maintained with plenty of sunbeds and shade if you need it. Staff are efficient and friendly and the food is good. However the whole hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. Of the 2 lifts usually only one wS working and sometimes none. This hotel is premium priced for Sri Lanka. There are better hotels for less than half the price elsewhere on the island but without the location. You pay for the location. We did enjoy our stay.
