We had a great visit at Coronado. We stayed in Casitas 2 which was the best bang for your buck option at the time of booking. There was plenty of parking directly in front of our building and accessing it was pretty convenient after we figured out we just hit a left vs heading through the front of the building. There was a nice gym and smaller pool right outside our room which was awesome. The dig site and lobby are all pretty far from our room, but the walking paths and bridges you can take make it all accesible. We only ate from the grab and go shops but there were plenty of food options near the Mercado. Seems like everything shuts down at or around 11, but there is a McDonalds around 5 minutes from this resort which is nice. One of my two gripes were the rooms clearly need some updates as they are starting to show age, specifically the bathroom areas. We had minor issues which were addressed during our stay. Our mini fridge was clearly not working and maintenance quickly came to fix the issue after alerting the front desk. They didn’t seem too happy when I called and was met with some resistance, but they eventually understood my concern. Second was a few creepy crawlers found their way into the room, not sure from where but didn’t bother me given the amount of rain and humidity we experience. I’d stay again, but probably would try and catch the tower rooms.

I stayed here for one night for my birthday and honestly, I wish I could have stayed longer. I was greeted at the front door and directed where to go to check in. The check in process was easy and we were able to get into our room early. The lobby and room spaces were gorgeous and well kept with everything being neat and tidy. I stayed in a Tower room this time and loved it. Room are accessible with a room key or with the My Disney Experience App which is very convenient. Elevators were easy to use and the closeness to the marketplace/restaurants was nice. The pool area was very busy and chairs were a bit hard to find, but the pool itself and waterslide were fun! Any of the Cast Members that we spoke to were kind and friendly. We ate dinner at 3 Bridges that night, which was delicious and a great view of the resort. I would definitely look to stay here again!

Great resort it’s huge! We stayed in the cabanas and it was kind of in the middle of everything. Really enjoyed their pool and hammocks while we stayed. Team member Ana I believe was her name was excellent after dealing with an emergency. Billy from food and beverage was awesome! Thank you for saving our trip and making it better

Don’t let the fancy lobby fool you — it does not represent the actual rooms. The room we were assigned was Casitas, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The building looked like an old apartment complex. There were bugs walking around, and the elevator and everything in this building were VERY outdated. At night, it was dark and quiet. As soon as we entered the room, we saw a bunch of bugs, got scared at the door, and watched them run around. The room also had a bad smell and outdated facilities. It appeared exactly like a motel, not a 4-star resort hotel. The price was extremely expensive for a motel-like room. When we booked the room, the photos shown were of rooms in the new lobby building. We had no idea that we would be placed in a room like this. It was completely different from what was shown during the booking process. When we opened the door from the outside, the bed was immediately visible, which made the room feel uncomfortable and lacking privacy. When we contacted the staff, their attitude was very unhelpful. They did not seem willing to solve the issue. Even when they offered to switch our room, they tried to move us to a location that was farther away but had the same old, motel-style setup. Overall, this was a really bad experience. For the price and the expectation of staying at a Disney resort, this room quality and service were unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here. Go somewhere else.

Most recently stayed Club Level in the Gran Destino Tower, this past week. The staff was fantastic. Great food-even outside of Club Level. Front desk staff, mouse keeping, stores, and club staff were all very helpful and kind. Club level staff really interacted with every guest so nicely. Lots of attention to detail. For the rest of the resort-I haven’t stayed in those rooms for years but walking the hotel property, and friends who have stayed here this week-it seems like they are nice tool. The property is very large. There are buses available to parks. 4 for location/rooms since to me there are better themed rooms, and better locations on other properties but nonetheless we really enjoyed our stay.
