We had a great time at The Standard Bangkok and it is honestly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the breakfast offered a great selection. Our room was fantastic, with a perfect rain shower and quite possibly the best hotel toilet I have ever used. The overall design, comfort, and atmosphere made us feel at home, and we were genuinely sad to leave. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. That said, there are a few areas where I think improvements could be made. During breakfast, orders were mixed up or forgotten on several occasions. While the staff were always polite, this happened more than once and stood out given the otherwise high standard of service. I also understand that security deposits are common in the hotel industry, but I still find it somewhat strange to charge guests in advance for services we are unlikely to use. My biggest criticism concerns the check-in process. I was handed a full page of legal terms, privacy notices, and information about how my personal data would be collected and used, and was told that I needed to sign it. The document was lengthy enough that I felt as if I should have had a lawyer review it before checking into a hotel. When I actually started reading it carefully, the staff took the paper back before I had even signed it. For a hotel that otherwise delivers such an outstanding guest experience, I think there shouldn't be any data processing apart from the necessairy. This would fit much better with the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere the hotel otherwise creates. Despite these criticisms, our stay was exceptional, and I would gladly return.

Visited for a day pass and absolutely loved it! The pool is great, and the vibe is very relaxing. Yes, it gets a little hot, so visiting early is the way to go. What truly made my day was the amazing staff—they were all so attentive. Special thanks to Min for being so friendly and helping me take some great photos. The service here is top-notch! 5 stars!

We stayed a total of 5 nights at The Standard and were very satisfied with the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect, as the BTS Skytrain station is right next to it, making a large part of the city easily accessible. The pool was larger than we expected from the photos, and having a pool bar is a great bonus. We only dined at the hotel once, and it was fine. The only downside was that the reception could be better organized; it gave me a slightly chaotic impression. It took several attempts for the final bill to be correct. Overall, I can confidently recommend the hotel.

A very hip, stylish hotel (like all Standards I’ve been to). Really gorgeous interior design. Loved our room and had nice view of city from 16th floor. The breakfast was great as was the pool. It’s literally across the street from a monorail station which is convenient for getting around. Also you get free entry into the skywalk which is a nice perk.

Check-in wasn’t as smooth as expected for a 5-star hotel. The staff handling our bags were fantastic, but once we reached the lobby, we felt left waiting a bit too long. We also noticed another couple received a welcome drink, which we weren’t offered. The staff member assisting us seemed quite rushed and even finished explaining things before the couple ahead of us had completed their check-in. That said, the hotel itself is beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room was thoughtfully laid out. When the speaker didn’t work, it was replaced promptly, which we appreciated. Room service, however, was disappointing, the quality of the food didn’t meet expectations, and unfortunately, there was even a fruit fly with the meal. On a positive note, the porters and general staff were all very friendly and helpful. It’s also a nice perk that guests receive tickets to the sky walk and discounts on drinks. There were a couple of minor issues in the room, the hairdryer wasn’t working properly, and there wasn’t a convenient place to plug in my Dyson in the bathroom, so I had to use it in the main room. A movable mirror would have been a helpful addition. Overall, the hotel uses high-quality products and many details are well considered. I would happily stay here again, but hope the welcome experience is improved next time.
