The Standard Bangkok is about 27 kilometres away from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Depending on traffic, the journey from the airport to the hotel can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour. Alternatively, guests may opt to take public transportation or a taxi, which is readily available in and around the airport.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Standard. The style of the hotel and rooms is very colorful and fun, super clean and classy. Our favorite stay in Bangkok. The view is amazing and the rooftop bar / skywalk is definitely worth visiting. We tried two cocktails at the Parlor - Roaming Bliss and Rice Harmony. Rice Harmony stole the show, definitely give that one a try if you’re visiting the Standard. The Gym was the best hotel gym we’ve seen! The staff is super friendly and helpful, 10/10 would recommend

We stayed four nights at The Standard in Bangkok, and overall the experience didn’t align with the price. We’ve stayed in better hotels for less. Positives - The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from the BTS, which makes getting around the city very easy. - Our suite was truly impressive, with a stunning view. The bathroom was the highlight: a large, serene shower-and-bath area that felt like a private spa. - The housekeeping team was consistently kind and professional. - Our booking also included access to the sky view, which turned out to be a great experience. - Another pleasant surprise was the poetry night hosted in the hotel bar by an external group, we had a wonderful time listening to the performances. Negatives - The swimming pool area was below expectations. The space is quite small and quickly becomes crowded when the pool is in the sun. The sunbeds are worn, and you can feel the dents left by previous guests. The water was also unexpectedly cold despite the 30°C weather. In addition, the pool bar’s food was overpriced for the quality offered. - The reception team didn’t feel welcoming, and communication with them was often difficult. - Breakfast was underwhelming as well, not terrible, but far from what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range.

Very comfortable with gorgeous midcentury design features. Excellent staff and service with personal touches like an anniversary cake when we checked in. We were offered an upgrade through our booking and loved the extra space and amenities in the Premium King room. Beautiful views abound. Great location with a convenient BTS Skytrain station, though there is plenty to do within the hotel and Mahanakhon tower itself. We particularly enjoyed the bar crawl, which allowed us to try four of the building's restaurants in one night: Ojo, Mott 32, Double Standard, and The Parlor. All of the food and drinks were fantastic. We plan on staying at The Standard again when we return to Bangkok.

We found this amazing hotel all on our own and were THRILLED with our selection. Remarked to my wife how unique the building looked in the skyline while driving into the city from airport and couldn’t believe when we were dropped off at that very same structure by our driver! Staying there was like living in a dream. The room was immaculately clean, spacious, and boutique-modern styled which made it feel very comfortable and cool. HUGE bed and the shower was about as big as some NYC hotel rooms. Surreal rooftop pool. We tried several of the restaurants and were very pleased with each. Mott 32 in particular was very superior Chinese food and our fare included tickets to the 78th floor skywalk which was UNREAL. Double Standard where included breakfast was served was a great at to start off the day and The Parlor with 2 for 1 drink coupons became our daily go-to for cocktail hour. Bangkok has no shortage of hotel options but we would stay at The Standard again in a heartbeat if we make it back there. Great location, very helpful staff, great food. Awesome all-around experience hence all the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon is a modern and very fashionable hotel with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere! The breakfast buffet was fantastic every day, and special thanks to Jua, who served with such kindness and an awesome smile that made mornings delightful. The lobby floor bar was a highlight—bartenders were so nice, friendly, and polite, and we loved using the Buy-One-Get-One-Free drink ticket there. We also appreciated receiving the same ticket for the rooftop bar—unfortunately, rain kept us from enjoying it this time, but we can’t wait to try it next visit! A big thank you to BB at reception for her warm and welcoming service. Everything about the stay—from the stylish design to the thoughtful touches—was fabulous and exceeded expectations. Highly recommend The Standard Bangkok for an unforgettable experience!
