Disney's Beach Club Resort

The Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World was phenomenal! From the moment you walk through the lobby doors all of your senses are satisfied by the unique scent to the beauty of the decor. Our check in process was seamless, we didn't even have to stand in line. We got to relax and enjoy the beautiful seating while a cast member came to us and got us checked in, our magic bands connected and set a positive magical tone to start us off on our vacation! During our stay the desk staff were always friendly and helpful and quickly provided additional room supplies when needed. Location Location Location! The location is why we chose to stay at the Beach Club, not only can you be at the gate of Epcot in less than 10 minutes, you have access to lovely dinning outside of the offerings at the hotel.

We stayed in a water view room with a view of the lake, beach and Boardwalk. Very quiet, away from the pool area. 2 Queen beds and a comfy day bed/couch gave plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens. 2 sinks outside of the shower/toilet area were great. Pool is easily one of the best around with good food/drink options at Hurricane Hana’s. Just hard to get chairs middays. Arcade has good variety and the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream is a great experience!! Easy access to all parks with multiple options; walk, bus, boat and skyline rides. Busing to and from Disney Springs in slow and unreliable.

Our room was spacious with a great location where we could hear and mostly see the EPCOT fireworks each evening. We took daily afternoon naps, so our room wasn't serviced each day -- which was fine because we didn't need it to be. For a deluxe resort, I was surprised that you could hear the people above you each time they flushed their toilet. Otherwise, all the room amenities were perfect (coffee maker, fridge). The location was perfect -- we used all modes of transportation to get around to Disney Springs, Boardwalk, and the parks. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We just got home from our family's first Disney World vacation, and we're already talking about when we can come back! We stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort, and it was the perfect place for our family. There was always something to do, even when we weren't in the parks. You can get a caricature drawn in the lobby, and we had the best dinners at Beaches & Cream (definitely worth checking out!). The room was great and there was more than enough room for the four of us. The pool was the highlight of the trip for our kids (ages 9-11). They absolutely loved the sand-bottom area, and it was so nice having a place where we could spend an entire afternoon relaxing. Club Level was also one of our favorite parts of the vacation. If you’re a parent and your children like to “pick” all day this is a great option. It also took a lot of stress off of me because there were always options for them to eat. It made mornings so much easier, and we loved being able to stop in for snacks and drinks throughout the day. One thing I would mention for families with younger children is that the main slide is located outside the gated pool area. It wasn't an issue for our family, but if you have little ones who want to go on the slide over and over, just know you'll be walking with them each time. Also, if you order food from Hurricane Hanna's, depending on where you're sitting, you may not be able to keep an eye on your kids while you wait for your order. It's something to be aware of when choosing where to set up for the day. Overall, we had an amazing stay. The Cast Members were wonderful and thoughtful. They made sure that all of our needs were met and were always there to answer questions. They provided that special magic that makes Disney so unique. The resort was beautiful, and it was the perfect hotel for our Disney vacation. We made so many great memories and can't wait to come back to Disney!

Beautiful Resort, Just Not the Best Fit for Us Beach Club is a beautiful resort. The check-in staff were friendly, and the pool is understandably very popular with families and kids. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with the start of our stay. At 1:08 a.m., the fire alarm went off with announcements instructing everyone to evacuate. We completely understand that things happen, and safety always comes first, so we certainly don’t fault the resort for taking precautions. However, it meant waking our sleepy and confused children, evacuating down four flights of stairs, and waiting outside while the fire department arrived and assessed the situation. By the time we were able to return and get everyone settled back to sleep, it was around 3:00 a.m. That loss of sleep understandably threw off our entire next day and made it difficult to really enjoy the stay the way we normally would. Aside from that unusual circumstance, we also realized that Beach Club simply isn’t the best match for how our family likes to vacation. It’s a beautiful and very popular resort with a fantastic pool, but it was also quite busy during our stay. We tend to enjoy a quieter, more relaxing resort atmosphere. We didn’t dislike Beach Club, and our experience certainly wasn’t all bad, but we didn’t enjoy it. We just didn’t get off to a great start, and by the end of the stay we realized it probably isn’t the right resort atmosphere for us. I’m sure Beach Club is a favorite for many families, especially those who love the lively atmosphere, pool and location. For us, we’ll stick with the quieter Disney resorts such as Wilderness Lodge/similar tier and feel that we already know to better match the type of vacation experience we’re looking for.
