Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has seen a few changes since opening in 1971, but the tropical theme, palm trees and the spirit of the South Pacific islands is still going strong. You won’t even feel like you’re in Florida anymore if you concentrate on enjoying the overall immersive experience and island decor. This is one of Disney’s top of the line resorts with over the top indoor and outdoor ambience all the way down to the landscaping. There are so many lush trees and plants, lit up in beautiful color during the holidays and with tiki torches on fire every night of the year. From bars to cafes and sit down restaurants, they have all your meals covered. And you’re a boat or monorail ride- even a walk! - away from the famed Magic Kingdom. Accommodations may be a once in a lifetime experience if you’re lucky, but pop over for a meal or snack anytime to make it a special event.

We checked in and then out in about an hour. Management had no empathy or couldn’t care less to make our issues right. We will never book a stay here again. We ended up back at the French quarter and were greeted kindly by the front desk. After returning from the park the front desk even surprised our kids with a few gifts, treats, and few other surprises. This is what we expected from the Polynesian however even upon originally checking in it was cold and definitely not worth what we were going to pay. Do yourself a favor and book at the French Quarters where you will feel just at home!

Honestly this was our 2 nd time staying here, and this resort is amazing. So good that it moves into the #2 spot behind Wilderness Lodge for our DVC favs Location is perfect. Food options are dynamite, and the rooms and grounds are excellent. Also has some of the friendliest Cast members.

Not exactly in love with this resort after staying at other deluxe resorts. The all of the food is 100% Polynesian themed. The pools are great. Our room kinda let us down as far as cleanliness and upkeep. The two main restaurants get overwhelmed from the reservations open to anyone and people just visiting from other resorts right off the mono rail. For what you pay and you’re a hotel guest it’s possible will not have a seat at any of the restaurants if you don’t make a reservation.

The Polynesian looks great with well-landscaped grounds and nicely decorated rooms. The location for access to the Magic Kingdom is good but we had some long waits for buses especially to Disney Springs. Housekeeping could have been better, several days they did not replenish coffee supplies and some days they didn't service the room at all. We did love the location and the function of the room, plenty of storage and sockets (including USB). Biggest complaint is that they have switched to Christmas music by the pool and it got really repetitive!
