Regretfully, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is not what I remember from past visits. Major disappointment with no attempt at service recovery. This place needs new leadership and a fumigator. First, our room was not ready at check-in time. After a busy day in the parks, not cool. Then when we were told the room was ready, we could not use the Disney app to unlock the door as we have done many other times. Staff pointed to poor Wi-fi as the culprit & said it happens all the time. Second, we expected daily maid service as advertised at this Disney deluxe hotel, no maid service 2 days in a row despite opportunity to do so until 3 pm 2 days in a row. Third, why have a fireworks view room when they refuse to enforce the no smoking policy? I have a reactive airway & was not amused to have a chain smoking neighbor on the next balcony!! Staff basically told us to call back for recurrence…too late, already wheezing & coughing!! Also, if you want a cold shower, you are in luck! Not enough hot water to service this hotel in the morning. For $500 a night, get the boiler optimized!! If you want a hot shower, be in yours before 7 A.M. Lastly, always killing some form of tiny ant in the room. It’s Florida…I get it, but not seen these bugs at other hotels…so annoyed! (No bed bugs, we checked) Also leaving sick with the latest Orlando respiratory virus. Who knows if they even clean the rooms between guests?! I’m starting to have doubts! Thanks Wilderness Lodge! We won’t be back!

The location is wonderful, a quick boat ride to magic kingdom. I have stayed at the Poly, and to compare, the waterfront restaurant at the Wilderness has a better view of the water, a real missed opportunity for the poly. However, the room was worn. The drawers and cabinets in my room were broken. I woke in the morning to take a shower and had to wait 20 minutes for luke warm water. While I can understand this could happen, it certainly spoils the idea of a "deluxe" resort. The pool is nice, the water slide is small but a nice addition. The food here was just okay, the grade of Chili's but twice the price. Don't bother with cocktails, they are just juice, instead stick to wine or beer. Overall this resort is nice, but doesn't live up to the deluxe experience it advertises. The staff here were great, very friendly and upbeat. Still a good place to stay, but realize the rooms will be more worn than a holiday inn. Disney really ought to stay on top of maintenance. I was given a "premier" room, my balcony looked at a wall of bushes. The expensive view is apparently not for those premier rooms.

Just finished up mine and my husband's honeymoon! It was truly a wonderful experience. We had waited eight years to get married let alone have this trip shortly after. It was a beautiful quiet resort with wonderful value for your money. We spent so much time in the lounge and had an amazing meal at the outside restaurant. However a true shout out should be made to Tim the cast member working at Bell Services. From our first day he remembered us and what we were celebrating and was so helpful to us from check in to check out. We hope to return soon. Thank you all so much for making our once in a lifetime moment even more magical!❤️

This morning on November 29th 2025 the alarm went off that we had to evacuate the building due to an emergency in the area. We were staying at wilderness Lodge for our very first time, and at any of the deluxe hotels for our very first time ever. My brother was in the shower at the time the alarm went off and was completely startled and almost slipped and fell. He has special needs and we had to get him dressed and get out as quickly as possible. Also, there was no supervisor from the hotel that told us the building was all clear to go back into the hotel. When we checked into the hotel for our first time it had a bad deodorizer smell, and I have asthma. Then did move us to another room but that took a while. Another thing was there was no manager that came out to explain the situation about the alarm going off so how do we know it was safe to go back in. This was an extremely disappointing stay with the service and did not execute Disney expectations that we are used to. I would like to have the manager of the hotel reach out to offer me a credit or a refund of this stay or for a future stay that I have booked at animal Kingdom Lodge. Thank you, Nicholas Marino

Great spot to make you feel like you’re out west in Montana. Place is immaculate, great staff and service. Pool is great and the views from the lake are stunning and peaceful. Make sure you eat at their Canyon Cafe. Not insane prices and a great time for the kids.
