We’re here now. Mixed feelings. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and easy to navigate. Staff is so friendly. Restaurants are really cool but menus are lacking. Pool is nice, but small and the water (July 2026) is too warm to feel refreshing. Our hotel room experience has been just “ok”. Rooms are on the smaller side but pretty. We had a problem with our first one so they moved us but it was at midnight after a long day in the park. That was a bummer. The room they moved us to was definitely a downgrade but that’s all they had so that’s where we ended up. Glad we got the chance to stay here but there’s definitely other ones we’d want to try before coming back.

One of the best Disney resorts around in my opinion. So many food options and the service is always top notch. The resort is HUGE and has alot to offer. There is a boat near the geiser that take you directly to magic kingdom where you meet your own security line so it makes it so easy to get into the park way quicker than everyone else. If you are looking for great food and drinks, head over to the geiser point bar for a stunning view and get the bison burger it is the best food item on all of Disney property. The rooms are top notch and always clean, the staff is willing to help you out with anything you need and they do it quickly and efficiently. There are two pool areas, one for the kids with water slides and not very deep water so you can relax while your kid goes nuts, and the other pool is a 5 foot pool that butts up to the river coming out of the hotel it has a bigger water slide that is alot of fun and it is located close to the bar if thats what you're looking for, the pool hours are great for kids because it is open until 11pm during the summer time. We will definitely be back to explore more!

Wilderness lodge is considered a deluxe resort and it is beautiful and close to magic kingdom. The lobby is gorgeous and we were met with characters on our first day! The gift shop is good, the pool area is really cool and you swim with ducks! The slide is a bit underwhelming. I would say whispering canyon was fun and worth it. We went for breakfast. Geyser point bar and grill was great food and pretty atmosphere. The lowest points of our stay was our room location, I called a month ahead to ask for a specific room type and I feel like it was completely ignored. We were put in a basement style room with zero view so that was disappointing considering this hotel is over 400 a night with a thirty percent discount. Fireworks are kinda hard to see from the resort because of all the trees unless you see them from parking lot or by geyser point restaurant. The worst part of the whole resort is by far their quick service restaurant roaring fork! I’d expect much better from a deluxe resort. It is terrible and stay away if you can!!! We ate dinner there early into our trip. My husband got the simple sandwich and ended up with food poisoning!!!!! I got the chicken dinner which was rubbery and inedible! My little nephew got chicken fingers and fries that he’s loved everywhere else and said they were terrible! Avoid this place! Overall it’s a beautiful relaxing resort. The boat and bus service is good. If your doing early entry busses are faster. Be there by 715. The deluxe evening hours are really nice being a deluxe guest But don’t expect low crowds, it’s still pretty crowded. We will definitely be staying deluxe again in the future but Disney wilderness lodge is a one and done for us!

Due to flight issues, my daughter and I needed a room for the night because we were already checked out of our original resort. WL is one of our favorites and they had a room available. We were not expecting anything special, but we didn't have any luggage since they were already checked at the airport, we decided to grab a few sundries at the Mercantile shop. It had everything we needed and the CMs were so helpful. To our surprise when the room was ready it was a fireworks view!! We were so excited that this added a little bit more magic to a frustrating airport day. We were then able to grab food and drinks and watch the water parade and the fireworks. Love, love, love this place.

I just had dinner there at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I had a fun time and the food was delicious. I had stayed here over 10 years ago and it was great. The rooms are huge. I am a dvc member and we had a 2 bedroom suite. This is one of my favorite resorts on property.
