I would suggest to try another resort. Service one star… Location is ideal if you’d like to walk to Magic Kingdom. Monorail to Epcot is nice, but you do have to transfer to another train. Which is a lot when pushing a stroller up and down the ramps and finding space on two separate occasions to fit the whole family in. Rooms are a decent size but dated. No complaints about the beds. Not shocking, but you could hear the kids running the halls outside and people walking on the floor above you. You went to bed each night fingers crossed that you didn’t get A group of wild kids, jumping up and down with their cousins on the floor above… Overall, the stay would’ve been fine. But we had a traumatic experience in the hotel. Fire alarm went off at 3 AM. No staff to direct customers out. No staff To provide an all clear. 20 minutes later. People just started walking back in the building. Walking up and down eight flights of stairs in the middle of night with three kids that’s not my definition of magical. No information is provided by the front desk the morning after or even the next day. Cast members all said the same line ‘They don’t tell us…’ The most information I can piece together is from a Reddit board. It seems their fire alarm systems can be very sensitive and lead to a lot of false alarms. Which seemed to be the case that night. When calling Disney directly. They suggest that I provide my feedback in an email or a letter, but there is nothing they can do over the phone for me… strike three, thanks for caring. Just given the cost and the fact that it’s Disney, my expectations were higher for the overall stay and experience. Things happen but great businesses respond accordingly. Just wasn’t the case in the situation. I think my family are one and done with Disney vacations. On to the next adventure! Good luck!

Since this is a deluxe Disney resort, guests get a two hour extended evening benefit when staying there. There are buses to the other Disney resorts and Disney parks. The monorail goes right through the resort - very convenient! Or if you want to walk, it’s only about a 10 minute walk to Magic Kingdom. Our room had a nice view and was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again, but would make sure that it was a two queen bed room. I stayed there with my son who is 5’10”. The room they gave us was a king bed room with a small sofabed. The sofabed was too small for him, so I let him have the King bed. The sofabed was not super comfortable to sleep on as it was too short for me and I’m only 5’4”.

There’s a lot to love about the Contemporary Resort — first on the list is the proximity to Magic Kingdom. It was amazing to be able to walk back and forth from the park. We also enjoyed the pool and it was never busy when we were there. There are a variety of food options which was helpful. It was also fantastic to be able to watch fireworks from the balcony each night. The resort on the whole feels a little tired and the rooms are not super spacious or particularly cute/well done. But on the whole, the positives outweighed any negatives.

You pay for the convenience of being next to Magic Kingdom, other than that nothing overly impressive. The rooms are spacious and nice, and there are a lot of attractions for kids in the hotel as well. The monorail takes you directly to the parks, or you can just take a short walk there.

Only went to the character Chef Mickey's breakfast. I can not rate the rooms. We did valet parking and left the car there for the day as we visited the MK. A very expensive ok, adequate breakfast but for the children it was magical. Service was good at the breakfast. Characters do a good job with the kids, but they don't linger. They will spend enough time to let everyone get pictures and they are off. That said the lobby and public area feel dated and not very contemporary. Maybe in 1971 this was contemporary but not 2025. Still cool to sit and eat watching a monorail roll silently through the building. It was fine, just bring money.
