What I dislike the most is your dishonesty M. director of the hotel! It is simply impossible that the medical center “confirmed” the source of my illness, because they cannot determine that. I was hospitalized the night following the dinner at your place, but they cannot say whether it was your food or something else I might have consumed. Moreover, the medical center is not even allowed to communicate anything to you about a medical file that is not yours. If they actually did so, then I would have grounds to take legal action against them. You also do not have the authority to access or discuss my medical records in any way, so you could not have received any legitimate confirmation from them. In addition, since no laboratory analysis was carried out, identifying the exact source of my illness is virtually impossible – in fact, totally impossible. Even today, I cannot have absolute proof. The only evidence I have is that it happened immediately after your dinner, and I would even say while I was still eating it. As for the fact that the inspection did not find anything, I actually think that is a good thing, because you clearly understood after my complaint that there was a problem in your kitchens. I am glad that you made efforts to change and improve things, and it is precisely those changes that the inspection has now confirmed. So next time, please try different arguments. And just for your information, I am already aware that the sanitary inspection took place. Who do you think requested it? Consider yourself fortunate that I do not have the time to go further with the safety issues that occurred that night at the hotel. Just as a reminder, there was no one available to assist me, and if you review the hotel’s video recordings, you will see that very clearly. That, unlike the rest, is fully proven — there is nothing uncertain or debatable about it. The evidence exists. I chose not to pursue this further because I have a life and other priorities. But if you wish to invent arguments on that matter, feel free — it will lead nowhere. In that case, the medical center actually can confirm that I was entirely alone and they have the phone recording where I clearly stated, “there is no one here to help me.” So if you have time to chase records, feel free to go after those calls too.

By far the worst hotel experience of my life: After dinner at the hotel restaurant the 13/10/25 , I suffered severe vomiting all night. Around 1 a.m the 14/10/25. there was no staff at the reception, and the emergency number didn’t answer despite multiple calls. I had to call a private medical service and was taken to the hospital (injection, IV fluids, observation). I have the official medical bill (€735) and prescriptions as proof. The hotel director refused any responsibility, merely admitting there was a KNOWN “phone issue”. To make things worse, everyone at the hotel already knew the phone line was out of service, yet no measures were taken. This hotel is mostly filled with retired guests enjoying their holidays, many of whom are elderly and could need urgent medical help at night. The fact that there is no functional emergency system or staff on duty overnight shows an unacceptable level of negligence and zero sense of responsibility. The director even suggested I might have been pregnant, as if that could explain endless vomiting — honestly, if I had been, I would have vomited the fetus too given how violently I was sick. That alone shows the complete lack of compassion and professionalism from the management. No empathy, no help, no safety. ⚠️ Strongly do not recommend this hotel. I have filed an official complaint with the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and the Government of the Canary Islands. 👉 I am willing to provide full medical evidence to any authority who wishes to verify my statement. (Stay in October 2025, at Risco del Gato Suites)

🆘🆘INTOXICATION AlERT 🆘🆘 My sister is there with her fiancé for two weeks and she got intoxicated by dining in the restaurant yesterday (Italian diner) they went to the reception just after as she started yo vomit and no one was there to help so they had to call an emergency doctor, he came and saw my sister almost dying and had to take her to the hospital. She spent the whole night there getting her stomach cleaned … what kind of hotels is this ? This is a place for funerals 😉

We had a fantastic stay at the Risco del Gato. The journey in a private transfer took about an hour from the airport. Check in..On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome. We were given the wifi code & a map of the hotel, which proved very useful until we found our baring's. The hotel has 3 blocks of rooms, there are approx. 60 suites. Our Room...What incredible rooms, as the hotel name suggests it is a suite. We had room 308, which has a sea view. The location of this hotel means that very few rooms have a full sea view, but our view was still magnificent. We had a bedroom with 2 large double beds, a TV, dressing table, and a stereo player (very retro) A large wardrobe with a few drawers and the payable safe. The bathroom is housed in the round part of the suite, has a walk in shower, 2 sinks, a jacuzzi bath & a toilet. The ceiling has a large clear dome so it allows lots of light to flood the room. There is a lovely sitting area, which has a sofa, a large Fridge with a working freezer compartment, Kettle, Coffee Machine desk & a TV. It is here you can sit and watch the Sea. This room has a wall of glass & overlooks the suites front terrace, which has a table and chairs. The suite has another terrace which is private with sun loungers & an outdoor shower. The cleaner for our room was Carmen, she did an extremely good job.A small bottle water, wine and apples milk/sugar sachets complimentary The hotel is not new & modern, some of the fixtures in the bathroom could do with replacing, but only from an aesthetic point of view.We had wifi throughout the hotel & found it fast & reliable. Restaurant & Entertainment...We were booked with B&B. Breakfast was brilliant. It is served buffet style in the restaurant, with lots of choice. There is an egg station for fried, boiled, omelette as well as bacon & pancakes. Please note if you are a vegetarian that the bacon is cooked on the same hot plate. The bar in the reception area was open in the evenings, the last night we stayed there was a singer performing in the hotel. The drinks on the hotel were reasonably priced. Pools..The hotel has 3 pools, 2 outdoor and a heated indoor pool. We did not have issue securing a sunbed at any time of the day. The hotel provides pool towels, which you collect and return to a lovely lady sat near the pools. There was no daytime entertainment or even music around the pools. Grounds and facilities...The grounds are well kept and have housing station for wildlife and cats. The cats can be seen roaming the hotel grounds and as they are well fed by the hotel they do not approach you. Gym & Spa...The hotel does have a gym but the equipment is neglected and I was unable to do a basic workout. Apparently the running machine does work, but I am not a running type of girl!! There were no free weights to speak of and the lifting weights were not of much use. Some of the equipment looked like it was usable but there were no diagrams on each piece. So my one plea to the hotel would be get some new bikes, a new cross trainer and free weights so that a basic workout can be achieved. We did not visit the Spa.This is a very peaceful hotel, and is a great place to relax. We hardly saw another guest outside of meal times, it felt like we had the hotel to ourselves at times. Beach...The beach is a short walk from the hotel and it is downhill. Restaurants and shops...Costa Calma is not a big bustling resort. It has a few restaurants and bars ,a few touristy shops, 2 spars and a hiperdino. which are approx 5-10 min walk from the hotel. The architecture of the hotel is very interesting and there are pictures and information in the reception and bar area and the reception staff were also very knowledgeable about the hotel when we asked questions. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, we have mentioned its imperfections but this did detract from the enjoyment we had whilst staying here.

Had a wonderful time. Lovely sea view (we paid extra) room had everything we needed and had lots of space. Staff are wonderful, nothing is a problem and they are super friendly. Some parts are a bit jaded but didn't bother us. You can walk into town and the hotel is near the FV2 for touring. Near the beaches, shops bars etc. Not one of those big hotels which are a bit impersonal at times. Great place may go back again, which we don't normally do.

PLEASE WAIT...
