We had an absolutely great time here, the staff were wonderful and friendly, the rooms were clean (would say the curtains need to be better as the amount of light they let in will mean a lay in will be difficult). Location is fantastic, the beach is stunning, easily one of the best on the island. Local town was only a 15 minute walk down the road which was a pleasant walk either along a promenade or the beach. Food was great, Breakfasts had everything, from freshly blended smoothies, right the way through to your fry ups. Lunch and dinner had lots after variation every day, something for everyone. Vegetarians won't struggle either, though vegans may have a slightly more difficult time, there was still options. Drinks were good, good coffee, good beer, sangría on tap, snacks included magnums and walls ice cream. Overall we had a cracking time, if we were people that ever went back to a place we'd been before we'd return here.

Great stay with minor room for improvement regarding maintenance ​ ​We overall enjoyed our stay at the Occidental Jandia Playa. It is a solid choice for a holiday in Fuerteventura, though there are a few small details that prevent a full 5-star rating. ​Dining (Half Board): The food was good and offered a nice variety throughout our stay. As expected in a popular resort, the dining hall gets quite busy and loud during peak times, but the quality of the meals was consistently good. ​Location & Facilities: The location is excellent, very close to the beautiful beach. The pool areas are lovely and well-maintained—a huge plus is that one of the pools is heated, which made swimming very comfortable. ​Entertainment & Activities: There is plenty to do: the hotel offers an arcade, billiard tables, a tennis court, and table tennis. The kids' animation program also provides good entertainment for families. ​Fitness Center: The gym itself is actually well-equipped. However, we were disappointed to find that half of the cardio machines were out of order during our entire stay. For a 4-star hotel, equipment should be kept in better working condition. ​Verdict: We had a lovely time, but due to minor issues with maintenance and equipment, we feel a 4-star rating is more accurate than 5. There is definitely some room for improvement in terms of upkeep, but we would still recommend it for the great location and pool area.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Occidental Jandia Playa, Views from the Deluxe Sea View balcony were amazing, Sunrise to Sunset. They rooms were kept immaculate daily by friendly and helpful staff, the whole hotel and grounds were in pristine condition throughout the stay. Dinner was fresh, tasty and presented beautifully, the service staff were all polite, friendly and helpful, greeting us at every meal with a genuine smile and warmth. The snack bar area was a welcome retreat between the beach and the restaurant. The pool excersise staff were so full of joy and energy we couldn't help but smile even when not taking part. The beach was stunning and the town fairly close by. Our stay was so entertaining, pleasant and relaxing that we didn't even need to take our free spa days. Couldn't of wished for a better stay. The only down side was we couldn't stay longer. Thankyou to you all for your discreet hard work it made for an amazing stay that left us saying WOW!!! Muchas Gracias

We stayed at this hotel for 15 days. The cleanliness is impeccable, our room was cleaned by Noemi, who was always extremely kind and thoughtful, making sure to clean while we were at breakfast, so we never had to wait. The staff are always very kind. We took advantage of the hotel spa twice for some exceptional massages! They asked us exactly what we wanted and recommended the most suitable massage for the second time (the bamboo massage). The masseuse, Dominika, was fantastic: very kind and highly skilled. She listened to my feedback and focused perfectly on all the right areas. The pain disappeared right after the massage session. Highly recommended to everyone!

It’s worth reading the lowest reviews, because a lot of what’s written there is true. But, if you are a person who’s happy everywhere, this might be ok for you. Make sure the food you eat is well cooked. It’s a big compound with many buildings, so if you have trouble moving, ask to stay in/close to the main building. Magnetic key stop working often, this may again cost you a schlep to the reception. Take two keys with you, especially if you are leaving the compound by the door at the bottom. If your key stops working there, you will need luck or a long hike up the hill to get your key replaced. Ours stopped working twice in 5 days. The buildings were cheaply built to begin with, there is no sound insulation. You will hear people entering rooms next to yours, opening the terrace doors above you, the cleaning ladies starting their loud chats and moving furniture from 8 am on, people dragging their suitcases at all hours of the day. Our sink was leaking, I reported it on Monday morning, it was acknowledged on Wednesday afternoon and by check out time on Thursday, no one came to fix it. We were brushing our teeth over the bidet. The location is ok, although not close to town, but you can have nice long walks along the ocean or by the road. There is free street parking. There is a Spar convenience store under the complex. We had just breakfast, from what we’ve seen, the all inclusive offers drinks and a limited buffet during the day. There is a weird segregation going on with a separated royal level, then the all inclusives and the rest of the guests, who are left guessing where and how they can access food/drinks. The online marketing doesn’t match the reality. The grounds are lovely and well kept, but many parts haven’t been updated, missing tiles in the pools, wateR damaged wooden structures, etc. The room was ok; but the hotel being so huge, there is no personal touch. Their online app is buggy and frustrating to use.
