The hotel is very pleasant, with gorgeous green grounds and mature, tall trees providing ample shade. It's a peaceful place to relax and recharge. The pools are clean and comfortable. There are wonderful sun loungers on the beach and around the pools. The staff is impeccably polite and friendly. The rooms are a bit tired, with insufficient quantity power outlets and poorly designed entrance doors, but overall they are spacious and comfortable. The beach itself is a bit disappointing – it's certainly clean and well-maintained, but the water isn't the most beautiful color and it's completely calm (though many guests prefer this). The option to have breakfast with a sea view is a plus. The hotel's location is excellent. Overall, I highly recommend it.

service is really good, its almost like a 5 star hotel, the only thing is that most of the rooms are really dark and the bathrooms was smelly, but not from the dirt, but from the holes for water drains. other than that, everything was super clean, we enjoyed the pool, the water was really really clean and did not smell like chlorine at all which is surprising for me. We also enjoyed the tenis court, i recommend to reserve it in advance. The food in the beach club and in the hotel restaurant was AMAZING, i enjoyed every dish ive had, as well as the service. highly recommend this hotel and i would definitely come back again if im gonna visit sanur!!!

Firstly, the staff are truly the most helpful, lovely people and go above and beyond to help guests.
I am only going to comment on the room we settled into for our stay in Puri Santrian Beach Resort.
We ended up staying at the Premiere Rooms which is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this section of the resort which offers true 5 star accommodation.
One of the Reception Staff Gung Mas was the most helpful and wonderful people. her aim was to make sure guests we were happy and comfortable. We cannot speak highly enough about her.
The staff in general are very helpful and sincerely want to do their best for guests. From the luggage assistants, restaurant staff, cleaners, grounds staff and management, they are all genuinely interested in doing their best and the right thing by the guests.
I would definitely request these rooms again upon my next visit to Sanur and our stay at this resort.

I had high expectations after reading the reviews. However I was a little disappointed as the hotel lacked a degree of luxury.
It's a typical Balinese style and the grounds are beautiful and lush.
Our room on the 3rd floor was very dark and the bathroom was quite dated. Shower over bath with shower curtain.
Rain noise on a tin roof was very loud and dogs barking disturbed our sleep.
The staff were wonderful especially in the restaurant and the breakfast was good and varied.

Puri Santrian is a lush, beautiful beachside garden with a hotel/resort thoughtfully situated within it. Several beautiful pools, dining and sitting areas equipped with beach and poolside loungers, all nestled within lush gardens with sidewalks lined with sculptures and pagodas. The villas are well appointed and sparkling with generous space and modern touches. PS has some of the best beachfront available in the area, as boats cannot park anywhere in front of the property. Can’t say the same about most other places anywhere nearby. Within 300m left or right of the hotel, via the boardwalk (and bike) there are a variety of beachfront WARUNGS (food stalls) and small shops offering local fresh food and drinks. This is a true 10/10 stay. I haven’t a negative thing to say about it. We visited at the beginning of low season, (mid January) so there were considerably less guests than there would be during the high season. It felt quite private and serene.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were not only professional but also genuinely kind and attentive. Their behavior truly made the stay comfortable and memorable.
The front desk team was efficient, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. Housekeeping did a fantastic job—my room was consistently clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. Whenever I had a request, the staff responded promptly and courteously, showing great attention to detail and care for guests.
What stood out the most was the respectful and positive attitude of everyone working at the hotel. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. It’s rare to see such consistently good behavior across all departments.
Overall, this hotel offers not just comfort, but excellent service driven by an amazing team. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay, and I would happily return in the future.

Beautiful resort, right on the beach and walking distance to a great shopping district. Spa was lovely. Staff wonderful - helpful and warm. Pools were great, one where families were welcome and one that was adult only which was nice. Stayed in a garden view bungalow, the gardens were beautiful. The breakfast buffet included in my package was really nice as well.

We had the most amazing stay at this resort in Bali. From the moment we arrived, everything was so easy and welcoming. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the whole experience was honestly even better than we expected.
The resort itself is beautiful. The pools, restaurants, and overall atmosphere were all fantastic. Every meal we had was delicious and the service everywhere was warm and genuine. It made our stay feel really relaxed and special.
A special thank you to a few wonderful staff members who stood out during our stay. Chef Putu from the Beach Club made incredible food and was always so friendly. Pande, our waiter, provided such great service and always made us feel looked after. And Suarti from the Kids Club was absolutely amazing with the children. She showed so much love, patience and care, and our kids felt so comfortable with her.
Overall it was a truly 5-star experience and we are so grateful for such a memorable stay. We would absolutely love to come back again.

Laundry service is great. Except at nite, staff did not know the process and asked me to call back the next day.
Staff checked on us every evening to see if we need anything when our privacy light is turned on daily.
Hotel settings is very nice and peaceful . Food is okay, can do better with sushi, and hot dishes. The crepe and French toast are good. Sumita, I think he is in charge of food and services. He gave excellent service to our 2 elderly friends (85 years). Extremely kind and helpful to them. Brought them some fishing lures these 2 ladies were looking for and accompanied them to their rooms. He also gave us all warm welcoming hugs. Thank you for the warm and cheerful spirit. It definitely makes our day.

Staying here at the moment and cannot fault it. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. TV’s have streaming, not that you need to watch it much. Pools are clean (although it would be good if people kept their kids in the family pool, and out of the adult pool). Restaurants are very good and not too expensive. It’s easy to get around, grab towels, get service from wherever you are. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. The location is safe, with the best beach access I’ve experienced. The best part though? The smiling staff who are always so willing to help. 10/10, would recommend!

Look no further for a resort in Nusa Dua - Ayodya is a winner! A truly authentic Balinese resort with huge rooms, comfortable beds, bathroom was a good size, plus a great sized balcony. Choosing one highlight is impossible, the staff are so friendly, always smiling and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. The resort is massive in size, the family pool is huge, the adults only pool was a nice surprise plus its located on it's own private beach where the water is pristine. Even though the resort is so large, not once in our 10 night stay could we not find a sun lounger by one of the pools. The lack of swim up bar did not matter as there was a call button under each umbrella for delivery of food and drinks. There were plenty of places to sit, relax, eat throughout the resort, the gardens were absolutely pristine, so lush and green. Be sure to immerse yourself in the culture with so many activities each day to enjoy. Yoga, aqua aerobics, zumba were all fantastic. The restaurants were delicious and reasonably priced. A standout breakfast buffet - the best I've ever had - everything you could ask for was on offer! Do yourself a favour and book into the palm reading or better yet, experience the full day wellness & culture experience, incredible! Bali Collection is less than a 10 minute walk and the prices at the restaurants there are quite cheap as is the shopping (be sure to try the Italian Restaurant - was so good we went twice) the water here is also purified. Nusa Dua is a gated community and just outside there's a strip of shops and really cheap massages. Don't hesitate to book here, you will love everything about it!

I had a wonderful stay with my two little girls under 6. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. Buffet breakfast was amazing, good vegan options for me most days too. Sulastri was good too. Pool area super fun esp the kids section with slides etc. loved the bean bags provided. Kids club needs some work, weird vibe, educators not engaging enough to keep my 2 there. Bathrooms also need a bit of an upgrade but the rooms were otherwise wonderful.

Great stay here, room was huge and modern and clean. Internet was good quality and the TV had lots of options.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pool area was really nice and had lots of lounges and chairs. We hired a bike for 50k and rode along the path and back. Breakfast was good and lots of options. We did the cultural night but it wasn't overly great so I wouldn't do that again.
Bathroom was massive and had good amenities and shower, maybe could use some hooks on the walls for hanging towels.
Good location, only a few minutes walk to the icon as well the main street with lots of shops and dining options super close.

We had the best stay at Griya Santrian in Feb 2026. Our family ranged from 9 years old to 76 years old and everyone was beyond satisfied. Don't be put off by reviews of construction in and out of the resort. We were hardly aware of any renovations in the resort and the sidewalks along the front of the hotel are completely finished and very walkable. If you're looking for a traditional Balinese-style hotel with gorgeous gardens and lovely staff, easy beach access and great location in Sanur, Griya Santrian is an excellent choice.

Stayed here for 7 nights. Had a terraced deluxe room which was perfect and was a few steps from the pool, plenty of space and great facilities. Staff are friendly and can't help you enough. Breakfast had a good selection. Bar and restaurant are a great location for sunset and good value for money. Sanur is my preferred choice much more quiet but still got good bars and restaurant nearby, if you fancy a sing a long i recommend the the wicked Parrot. Would definitely return. I would use Discova to do a private day trip.

Stayed for several days last week, in one of the new villa. Comfy and spacious, we could not ask for more. The resort is so beautiful and tranquil. Walking distance to good restos, coffee hangouts, and the Icon. Staffs were very helpful too. Would love to come back few years from now.

Awful service, stopped here as it was implied we could use the pool, ordered some nachos and waited for them to come before going in the pool, but they kept telling us 5 more minutes until eventually an hour passed, and in the end they were so basic and the place was practically empty that it just made no sense how it had taken that long.
Anyway after eating them we got in the pool, but after about 20 seconds were told the pool was for hotel guests only.. couldn’t believe it 🤦🏼♂️
The waitress Pratnya handled it really badly but she was clearly just a spokesperson for the manager Suria who we asked to talk to and was just incredibly rude about it, no compromise - we told him we’d just have to leave a bad review but he couldn’t have cared less. Just a heads up.

The hotel is architecturally stunning and the grounds are surrreal, plus you know you are in a very special place. If you want a place to relax, there are many corners that will tick all your boxes.
We stayed in a garden view room with the added bonus of sharing our nearby space with a beautiful pond, two adorable peacocks and two dozen ducks. The grounds are manicured to pefection and a number of artifacts will keep your camera clicking.
Our room itself contained a lot of original wood carvings that will immerse you into a time of beauty and craftmanship. The bed is super comfy and although we are not good sleepers, we slept well in this room. The staff are very supportive and on hand when required.
The club room lounge is a real work of art and a lovely space, plus the staff are so attentive in making your stay very, very special.
The spa is another plus with the added bonus of the lap pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.
The beach again is a nice area to relax and plenty of staff are around with menus at the ready. Both pool areas were a bit crowded, but you are just a few steps from the beach so who cares.
The main breakfast room, we did not like, it was more like a motorway cafe, hence not a nice relaxing space. Maybe the tarimind beach restaurant would be a better venue. The breakfast on offer was nevertheless excellent.
The themed dinners at night were very good, but maybe need to go the extra mile to reach the tastes we experienced at the Bambu Restaurant outside.
In conclusion if you want a wonderful holiday away from the common concrete hotel structures this place ticks all the boxes.

Had a brilliant stay here with my folks! The hotel has a fantastic Staff that makes you feel right at home.
The absolute stars of the show are the staff—huge thanks to Thrisna and Muliarta for being so helpful and professional. The food was excellent, and the gardens are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. We loved being able to walk or ride along the coastal path right from the doorstep.
It’s an older property, so it can be a bit noisy at times at the moment with renovations, but the amazing service and prime location more than make up for it. Highly recommended for a classic Nusa Dua experience!

A great location on the beach with a great Balinese welcome.
Rooms are quite classic, marble tiles and lots of carved wood. Garden and pool view rooms on the ground floor are maybe a little less private if you want to get away from everyone.
The resort itself is huge, the pool is enormous and there are bars and restaurants at intervals all the way round, food and drinks ranging from Mexican, Indian and classic Balinese dishes.
Easy access to the beach walk from which there are another massive amount of drinking and eating options outside the hotel itself.
The breakfast buffet is not to miss and has a much, much greater selection than the Palace Cloud, although the club is great for evening cocktails.
A good mix of ages throughout and for its size the whole place remains quite quiet.
Definitely worth a look.

Stayed here in June 2025 for my brothers wedding and had an amazing time. We were greeted with a warm welcome and escorted to our room. Room was spacious and clean, however the shower would fill up too quickly and flood which got annoying. The bed was also quite squeaky at subtle movements, besides that all was fine. The resort has everything you need and the private beach is perfect. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel, honestly amazing! The wedding was perfect and the staff all did an amazing job at making sure that the wedding and our stay was great. My brother got upgraded to a suite which really elevated the stay for all us guests. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

I liked the resort overall. While Nusa Dua may not have much to do in the area besides enjoy the beach the beach is of excellent quality. I wish they could keep the vendors off site but I'm sure there's a legal reason they can't push them out. This resort has plenty of great resort activities like site tours, cultural events, and my personal favorite was actually the fruit carving. Be aware I was told no rooms have ocean views which I found was a strange design choice. All rooms instead have garden views. The room was nice and quite "Balinese." Staff were pleasant and the resort beautiful (though very maze-like).

The hotel is located in a quiet and exclusive area of Nusa Dua, perfect for relaxation. The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the view over the garden/pool/ocean (you can adjust this) made the atmosphere even more special.
The breakfast was rich and diverse, offering both international and local options. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented.
The beach is stunning, clean, and very well maintained, and the infinity pool creates a truly dreamy setting. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive to details, and always ready to help with a warm smile.

We stayed in the pool access room. It’s spacious but a little bit dated. Not many outlets for charging devices and no converters available in the room. You can ask room service to bring you one though.
Dining has 3 options but we find it ok. Nothing too outstanding.
Hotel is very close to Bali Collection which opens up a lot more options to choose from which is great.
Service is wonderful. All staff are amazing and some are great. They remember your preference and know the things before you even ask.

We stayed at Merusaka for 6 days and absolutely loved every moment! We had a pool access room and upgraded to the all-inclusive package (orange wristband) — honestly the best value ever. Endless food and drinks, multiple stunning pools, and service that was consistently prompt, friendly and genuinely caring.
A huge shout-out to Dana at the pool bar — he truly made our stay unforgettable. He looked after us so beautifully and added such a personal touch every day. The whole pool bar team was brilliant!
Our room was incredibly spacious with a gorgeous bathroom and the most divine soaking tub. The entire resort and its facilities were spotless, welcoming, and so well maintained. We also loved the cute daytime / evening market onsite — such a charming touch.
We genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing. Merusaka exceeded all expectations, and we will definitely be back!

My family and I had an all inclusive package here last week. I have no words, this resort is by far the best! I already miss the pool bar and restaurant staff so much! They were the most nicest workers ever, who genuinely enjoyed being there and serving us. Not to mention, the food and drink was also phenomenal, as well as our rooms.
Our rooms were always tidied consistently and promptly within times we had been out of our rooms. They also tendered to our allergies amazingly, to the point where the whole resort knew about it!
Only one thing I would say for improvement is potentially the pool chemicals. Unsure of what it was but something was causing all of us to be chafing and getting rashes every day, which was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, a very amazing stay and we will definitely be back soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Resort – The Staff Make This Place Special
We had an amazing stay at Grand Mirage Resort in Nusa Dua. The location is beautiful right on the beach, the pools are great, the food was very good, and there are plenty of activities for both adults and families. Overall the resort itself is fantastic, but the real highlight of this place is the staff.
Every single staff member we interacted with was unbelievably kind, friendly, and helpful. From the reception team, restaurant staff, cleaners, security, and everyone around the resort — every single person greets you with a smile and genuinely tries to make your stay better.
You can immediately feel how hardworking they all are. They are constantly moving, helping guests, checking if everything is okay, and making sure people are comfortable. The level of service here honestly rivals some of the best hotels in the world.
What impressed us the most is how genuine the staff are. Nothing feels forced. They remember small details, they ask how your day was, and they truly make you feel welcome. It creates an atmosphere that makes the whole resort feel warm and relaxed.
To be completely honest, after seeing how hard they work and how much effort they put into making guests happy, all of the staff here deserve to be paid much more than they probably are. They are the heart of this resort and the reason guests have such a great experience.
The facilities, location, and food are great — but the people working here are what make Grand Mirage truly special.
We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bali.

We stayed at Grand Mirage for New Year’s Eve to welcome 2026, mainly because of how much we loved our first stay back in 2018. Back then, the all-inclusive package exceeded expectations and the staff were some of the most attentive and genuinely warm people we’ve encountered in any resort. That experience is exactly why we chose to return and celebrate such an important occasion there.
What We Loved
Staff service remains exceptional. Truly the highlight of our stay. They were attentive, kind, and always willing to help.
When we explained that my husband has limited mobility, the staff kindly allowed him to use a complimentary bicycle again, even though bikes are now normally rented. This thoughtful gesture meant a lot and made getting around the property much easier for him.
What Changed (and Not for the Better)
Unfortunately, several changes since 2018 made this visit disappointing:
1. We were given a voucher for a massage, which used to be complimentary but is now only offered as a discount voucher.
The same thing happened with the Seawalker activity. We initially understood it was included, but when we tried to book a slot, we were told it only came with a $50 discount. We decided not to proceed, as it felt overpriced even after the discount. We had also heard that the underwater view in Bali can be underwhelming—especially if you’ve already experienced something as spectacular as helmet diving in Boracay, Philippines.
2. We stayed in the Family Paradise wing this time, and it didn’t compare to the main building where we stayed before. The difference in atmosphere, convenience, and overall feel was noticeable.
The NYE Celebration — Biggest Letdown
The main reason for our trip was the New Year’s Eve celebration, and sadly, this was where expectations fell short.
The event was held in the main dining area, which became extremely hot, humid, and overcrowded — not the festive environment we had hoped for.
The food selection and quality were also disappointing and there were very limited vegetarian options, which made it difficult for guests with dietary preferences.
During the countdown, management explained there would be no fireworks due to government regulations out of respect for victims of recent flooding in Indonesia. We completely understand and support that decision. However, we expected an alternative celebration — perhaps a cultural show, fire dance, or special performance. Instead, what we got was a very brief, underwhelming “spectacle” that lasted only seconds.
After the countdown, guests were ushered back to the main dining hall rather than continuing the celebration at the Rama Theater or another proper party venue, which made the night feel like it ended abruptly instead of building into a festive after-party.
Final Verdict
If we were rating purely based on the NYE experience, this would honestly be a 1-star review. But the staff’s outstanding hospitality saved the overall stay and reminded us why we booked this resort the second time.
But there definitely won't be a 3rd time.

One of the most wonderful resorts that we've ever stayed in. So beautiful, well planned-out, superb service, customer oriented world class resort experience. I was hesitant at first with the slightly premium prices, but I am so glad we went ahead with it. First, it splits families with kids from the main resort - and yes, buffet breakfast is better at the main resort, but it's nice to have a 5min stroll in the morning. This means the families side can really focus on families and kids stuff - and the resort did it perfectly. Lots of kids activities - movies, games, foam parties water slides - aka loud during the awake time. But at night, activities are held at the main resort side - which means peace and quite at the family side. Secondly, customised/personal service: the resort uses WhatsApp so you can let them know what you need and they can respond quickly. Not only that, you tell them once and they know to do the way you asked for all future days. It's something as small as we asking for 4 more water bottles on Day 2, and from then on, they always give us extra 4 bottles on top of what they normally supply! Thirdly, resort is genuine - when you charge anything to your room (dine/drink/activities etc.) the last final figure before you put your room number is actually "inclusive of tax". Again, small thing, but just give that piece of mind that you won't be paying another 21%. Fourthly, that AMAZING lazy river - I just wonder how a resort can possibly build one. It's so wonderful and feels private - we can relax there all day (it's got a DJ playing music when I was there too!). Finally, to top it all off - since most of our flight back leaves at night - this resort even provides a "rest and shower" room after you check out! For the 1 hr before you leave the resort, you can get a room and do a quick change/shower before going to the airport! Well done staff, well done management - perfect thought out resort

Our recent stay at Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali, which is advertised as a 5-star property, was unfortunately very disappointing and did not reflect the standard we expected.
Upon arrival, the welcome experience was underwhelming. For the first two nights, we were placed in a room that was extremely humid, and we experienced continuous water tapping noises throughout the night, which made it very uncomfortable to rest. After raising this concern with the concierge, we were informed that we would be moved to another room. However, it took approximately five hours to transfer just two suitcases to a different room on the same floor, which was frustrating and poorly managed.
The dining experience was also below expectations. The food quality was average, with very limited variety and largely the same options offered daily. More concerning was the hygiene issue we encountered at the Ibu Restaurant, where we spotted a rat in the restaurant kitchen area. When we informed the restaurant staff, the response was dismissive and lacked understanding. We then reported the matter to the reception, who acknowledged the issue but did not offer any apology. The only compensation proposed was to cover our airport transfer the following morning, as we were already scheduled to check out.
Additionally, we saw another rat in the outdoor bar lounge area, which further raised serious concerns about cleanliness and pest control standards.
Overall, the service lacked warmth and attentiveness. Staff would serve drinks and disappear, only returning later to inform us that the venue was about to close. The hospitality throughout our stay felt impersonal and unwelcoming.
We left feeling extremely disappointed, as the overall experience did not reflect what one would expect from a 5-star property.

Family-Friendly Facilities
If you have kids under 10 years old, it's best to stay on the family side of the Grand Mirage. The kids' club was a great fit for our children, keeping them entertained and happy during our stay. When we needed a break, we found the resort's nanny service very helpful—it can be booked directly through the resort, providing peace of mind for parents needing some time out.
Dining Options
Although the food is generally better in the main Resort, the walk to the other side is only about three minutes. We found the Jukung restaurant to be the standout choice for meals.
Getting Around
If you plan to visit Waterbom or do anything in the Kuta area with the kids, you'll need to arrange transport. A taxi or driver is necessary, as it's about a 30-minute ride from the resort.
Value and Inclusions
We rated the value slightly lower because not everything at the resort is all inclusive. For example, Singaraja beers are included instead of the trusty Bintang.
Pool Bar
Both sides of the resort have pool bars, but they only operate until 5.30pm, after which the bar service moves to the restaurants.
Room Arrangements
We stayed in a family room with bunks, which worked well for our kids. Importantly, the room was secure, as the children did not have access to outside or their own door to leave the room.

Let me start off by saying the staff at this hotel are fantastic,the food and service in the restaurant is outstanding in my opinion so if you are the manager reading this look after your staff they make the place ,without them I think this place would suffer .
Location is good as is a stone throw from the big new Icon Shopping complex
As for the villas ,I don't think they are as good as other villas I've stayed at at the same price and cheaper.
I'm surprised the spiral stairs haven't been mentioned in other reviews,it's a mission to get up to the bedroom,if you're elderly or injured these villas aren't for you .
Also construction was going on our whole stay ,nail guns grinders from morning until late afternoon,not exactly a peaceful experience especially considering it's not a budget villa ,this was not mentioned,I do understand they have to build other villas but perhaps they need to close the villas next to the noise or offer discount,I'm assuming we drew the short straw because we book through Luxury Escapes .
A the end of the day I think these villas are ok but our experience wasn't as good as other villas we've stayed in the past ,I probably wouldn't return but the staff are nice people.

We stayed at The Pavilions as a family of 4 travelling from England in October 2025. We had an amazing time, and couldn't find fault with the service we received. We arrived to find our room containing some lovely presents (it was our 35th anniversary). Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who really do work incredibly hard (in very hot conditions) and always with a smile. I've been reading the reviews, and occasionally there are one or two bad reviews (it was ever thus🙄). Unfortunately, wherever you stay, their will always be someone who's not happy with the service, and in fairness to the Pavilions, running at such a high level of service is no mean feat. As a family, we had a great time, and hope to return to this wonderful place.
Well done to all the staff at The Pavilions (especially Mega and Yogi!) and we'll hopefully see you again soon.

The breakfast that they served us was so nice and they were very accommodating for some of the special needs such as my partner being vegan and having to leave at 3 in the morning. A hidden luxury gem in the middle of hustling Sanur.
I've visited Bali 7 times and stayed across 15 properties and this definitely rates near the top of that list!
The villas are impeccably maintained and the pools are so well sized and refreshing. We came from a 5 star resort (Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and spa) this place feels like a step above - especially given the size of the villas. If you have kids - skip the hotels and come straight here as it's about 6 x the size of a hotel room for similar value. What I like about this place over Nusa dua is the there is so many things to walk too - Icon Bali ( biggest shopping mall), dozens of high quality coffee shops, high end massage, a large beach prominade all within 10 mins walk with restaurants.
You feel genuinely relaxed and work is far from your mind when In this tropical property. As an ex travel agent I would highly recommend. ( travelling with a young child)

It was our first holiday with our little one, so we wanted somewhere that offered plenty of space while still feeling warm and welcoming. We are so happy we chose this place, it was absolutely perfect for us.
The staff were incredibly friendly, and our little one loved interacting with everyone. They always made sure she had a smile on her face. A special thank you to Dewi, Ayu and all the restaurant staff, the breakfast buffet spread was wonderful.
The food was excellent throughout our five-day stay. We dined at the various restaurants and enjoyed the evening shows, which were fabulous and definitely little-one approved! The amenities were beautiful, and even though it rained most of the time, the lush gardens made the surroundings feel serene and picturesque.
A very special mention to Putra from the butler team, who went above and beyond when my husband sprained his ankle on our second-last day. Your care and kindness did not go unnoticed, and we were truly touched. Thank you to the entire butler team for taking such great care of us.

The resort is stunning, surrounded by lush nature, with beautiful infinity pools that make it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The hospitality here is truly exceptional and made the experience feel very personal.
A special thank you to Dewi, Indra, Parka, and Angga, and the wonderful butlers Ganga, Eka, and Rani for their genuine care and attentiveness throughout my stay. The team goes above and beyond to make guests feel looked after.
The spa is incredible and one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had, and the entertainment and overall atmosphere added so much to the stay.
Highly recommend Maya Ubud for anyone looking for luxury, tranquility, and heartfelt Balinese hospitality.

I really enjoyed my stay at Paradisus by Meliá. The resort is beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive.
At the buffet breakfast, I asked for fresh chilli and one of the male staff members happily brought it to me. The next morning, as soon as he saw us, he remembered and brought the chilli again without us even asking. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel very welcome.
Another staff member noticed us standing under the shade while it was pouring with rain and quickly ran out to bring us an umbrella. That was a very kind and caring moment.
The food was very yummy and I especially loved the buffet breakfast with many great options. The dining restaurants were also good, although the portion sizes were a bit small.
The room was beautiful and comfortable. The only small suggestion would be to have more comfortable outdoor chairs on the balcony.
I would also like to say that I truly appreciated all the staff at the resort — from the front desk team, the serving staff, the gardening staff, the art performance team, and the gentleman who played the traditional Balinese musical instruments. Everyone was very friendly, warm and welcoming, which made our stay even more special.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would happily come back again.

Had been waiting to return since the renovation. We stayed once again in a garden villa. We did the all inclusive reserve package. No regrets there at all. Great choice of food and drinks. Staff are 11 out of 10 everywhere. Whilst we were on a couple holiday, we noticed the new kids area was absolutely amazing, families will love this. We enjoyed every eatery and the day spa, even the gym. Found the almost hidden cocktail bar on our last night, wished we had found that earlier. Sante; the bar/restaurant for the reserve guests, the food is amazing, cannot fault the food or the staff here.
We can't wait to return!

I recently stayed at Paradisus by Meliá Bali and had an unreal experience. The service across the resort was top quality, but I’ve got to give a special mention to Ryan by the pool — his service was genuinely out of this world. He was always switched on, super friendly, and made sure we were looked after the whole time. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Big thanks as well to Widhi, Suastika, Agung and Irsyad — all of them were professional, welcoming and made the stay even better. Paradisus is 100% the best resort in Nusa Dua. Definitely coming back.

We had a very nice stay at Maya Resort in Sanur with our family. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and located right by the beach, which makes it a great place to stay with children.
A special thank you to the Kids Club team – Unik, Asih, Lasmi, and Linda. They were very kind and attentive with our kids, who really enjoyed spending time there doing crafts and playing. It made our stay much more relaxed knowing they were well looked after.
Overall, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we felt very comfortable during our stay. A lovely option for families visiting Sanur.

I had such a delightful experience at Rue Bali! I tried the Cinnamon Roll, Chewy Dubai Cookie, Lemon & Passion Fruit Tart, and their Passion Rush drink.
The Cinnamon Roll was perfectly soft and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The Chewy Dubai Cookie was surprisingly rich and satisfying, with a nice balance of chewiness and flavor. The Lemon & Passion Fruit Tart was refreshingly tangy and beautifully presented—definitely a treat for the senses.
The Passion Rush drink complemented the desserts perfectly with its fruity and refreshing taste. Overall, the quality of the food and drinks is top-notch, and the cozy ambiance of Rue Bali makes it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for dessert lovers!

We came to Sanur for a few days’ getaway from busy Canggu and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were exceptional. Breakfast buffet was very nice and the rooms were also well laid out. The facilities (pool, spa, restaurants) were wonderful, and the main pool is right up along the beach - we walked the beach up and down, even to Icon Mall. But really, I can’t say enough about the staff. We had a medical emergency while there, and they took such good care of us, both during and after, while my husband was in the nearby hospital. It was a very difficult moment and they made it so much easier for me and the kids. Cannot thank them enough - you are truly in great hands at the Maya Sanur. Especially huge thanks to Angga, Sudar, and Agus.

This is our 2nd time at the Bali Mandira beach resort. What a lovely hotel with even lovelier staff. They couldn't do more for you.
The food at the Azul restaurant was wonderful. Have looked at going to the best rated restaurants in seminyak for a steak but you couldn't beat the one my husband had at the Azul.
Legian could be nicer but it doesn't take long to make your way to better shops and the taxis are so cheap.
It's a good base for going off on trips and most of trips include hotel pick up.
Particular mention to Jessica who was great at sorting anything out that we needed.
Getting a spa treatment before I go as the one I had 2 years ago was the best I've ever had.

Whilst we were there I got very sick and my husband went to breakfast without me. The staff noticed I wasn’t there and enquired after me. When they found out I was unwell they sent a nurse to check on me. Also sent some plain bread and bananas to help get me eating again. They also wrote a note saying they wished me a speedy recovery. That service was outstanding and muchly appreciated.
It was also our wedding anniversary and they made us a video which was on our TV wishing us a happy anniversary and also wrote it on our bed in rose petals.
Only down side was the bed wasn’t overly comfortable and there was a lot of noise from construction next door. But apart from that it was a wonderful experience

My husband and I had our first child free holiday in 15 years and are so grateful we stayed at Bali Mandira. The resort is stunning and we felt so welcomed the minute we stepped out of our transfer. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. Front desk were so helpful with everything. The Celagi restaurant was sensational for breakfast and lunch. Great coffees and the fresh made omelettes have spoilt me! The pools were both amazing as were the seating areas where we relaxed each day after walking around in the mornings. The room was very comfortable and the rain shower was devine. Lovely view of the beach from the top pool. Easy location to get to things. We will miss this place and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend 🌴☀️💙

Pro: decent location, close to our hotel, nice pool and facilities. Grounds are well maintained.
Con: service is hit or miss. Some staff are attentive and do a good job. Others not so much and just hang around rather than being proactive. Pricing was very high and some conflicting information about the costs. We paid the equivalent of AUD$70 to access the facilities (with a AUD$30 credit for drinks and food). When the bill came, one our party had to go through the bill in detail as they were incorrect charges. Felt like we were being played a bit to extract more money. Food was poor. Small portions, basic and not very edible.
Would I go back? No. Better choice nearby for far less money. Given the low season and relatively low tourist numbers, some facilités are offering no cost access as long as you spend a minimum of AUD40 per person.

Padmi from the outdoor bar was magnificent — her customer service was outstanding, and she made us feel so welcome every day. All the staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special.
The live entertainment hosted by Jfree was incredible and added so much fun to our nights. Overall, a fantastic resort with amazing people who really care about their guests. Highly recommend!

We stayed for two nights at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali, a stunning beachfront resort where the sound of waves crashing sets a constant, relaxing backdrop. The resort has numerous guest rooms and a few villas with traditional thatched roofs, while the stone-clad buildings blend beautifully with the lush, landscaped greenery.
The pool and gym are open 24 hours, which was perfect for me as a fitness enthusiast. Breakfast was à la carte with an extensive menu, allowing us to order freely each morning. Wina, who looked after us at breakfast over the two days, was absolutely wonderful, as were all the other staff members we encountered. On Valentine’s Day, we were fortunate to enjoy a full hour of traditional Balinese Legong dance, accompanied by live musicians. The performance was truly captivating and beautifully executed.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and attentive, adding a personal touch that we genuinely appreciated. Thank you, Oberoi — we hope to return again later this year.

There really are lots of positive things I can say about this resort, the grounds are stunning, the amenities excellent, the food, the views, but above all that is the staff, they are all so friendly, helpful and take service to the next level, the attention to detail has been unparalleled. Is it perfect, maybe not, some people might not like the rustic finish, they might describe it as *in be of renovation* but they are missing the charm of this place and probably prefer a sterile modern hotel room. The beach might not be the best in the world and it's public, but it's a lot of fun with great waves. The location is great, not too far from the airport and with plenty of food options in walking distance. If you want somewhere to just chill and take in Bali while being constantly pampered, this is the place.

In summary, this resort is ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 💯
All touchpoints were consistent: the arrival, check-in, intro to the room, breakfast, Concierge services, pool assistance, the bar staffs, even the guards, all the way to our departure. All facilities have been well thought out, are clean and in pristine condition. The grounds are well kept, the restaurants well staffed, the little pool touches are superb, the mosquito coils at strategic corners, the quiet yet graceful service of employees, and the traditional dance performance in the amphitheater were great! 👌
If there's one thing I'd nitpick, it would be the variety of foods at breakfast. We stayed for 7 nights and by the 6th brekky, we were getting tired of the options. But again, that's just me nitpicking.
I highly commend the Management of this property. It can't be easy maintaining that standard of service, and you've done it really well. We will be back!

The resort offers a serene and spacious atmosphere, and the staff’s kindness is truly unmatched anywhere else in the world. From the very first moment, when they carefully checked if I had left anything behind in the taxi, I already felt deeply cared for.
Housekeeping was also exceptional. It wasn’t just simple cleaning — every time I returned from a short outing, it felt like stepping into a brand-new room. Even my charging cables were neatly arranged with such attention to detail, which truly impressed me.
The landscaping is breathtaking — it feels like paradise on earth. And the dining experience? Simply perfect. Breakfast was customized to my every preference, making each morning start on the highest note.

The Samaya, Seminyak is the benchmark for luxury private villa accommodation in Bali. We've stayed here twice now. On both occasions, everything was flawless. The location is spectacular. Ocean frontage at Seminyak Beach, with manicured forecourt and sunset views. Breezes restaurant is less than 50 meters from the villas in the corner overlooking the ocean and particularly beautiful in the evening.
The villas are aging, but are well maintained, appointed and very spacious, with modern amenities. Huge dressing room/bathroom, huge indoor shower, outdoor shower, jacuzzi and excellent air-conditioning throughout.
The service is outstanding, even by Bali standards. Everyone will know your name and even your order very quickly, but they also respect your privacy and are never invasive.
The hotel is also very close to the heart of the tourist area, and all the best local restaurants and shopping. There is also a convenience store across the road.
Having stayed at most of the hotels along Seminyak Beach, (all of which are excellent) and having also stayed at "premium" resorts in Nusa Dua, I can confidently say that the Samaya represents the very best value for money available. There are resorts in Nusa Dua such as St Regis which are more exclusive and provide more luxury, but at triple the cost.
Strongly recommended for couples looking for privacy and luxury service.

Our experience at 5 Star Hotel Samya was disappointing from the very beginning. The negative impression started the moment we arrived no one assisted us with our luggage, which is unacceptable for a property claiming five-star service standards.
At the front desk, the welcome was minimal and unprofessional. The staff barely greeted us, maintaining a flat expression throughout the interaction. Although we were handed a welcome drink, the receptionist told us, “Go to your room, we will bring your drinks to finish it there.” The tone and delivery made it feel as though we were being rushed away rather than welcomed. It came across as dismissive and inhospitable.
We had informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating our anniversary, yet there was no note, no flowers, no acknowledgment whatsoever upon arrival. For a hotel that claims five-star standards, this lack of attention to detail was extremely disappointing.
The room itself was actually quite nice spacious and well-designed. However, any positive impression was quickly overshadowed the next morning when we woke up to extremely loud, continuous construction noise nearby. The hammering was relentless and completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing stay.
They initially tried to move us, but the options offered felt like clear downgrades either a smaller pool area or a villa with no sun exposure. Eventually, after wasting our time and energy going back and forth, they moved us to another villa across the street that was similar in style to ours. We can only hope this one is free from the noise.
As for our anniversary, they finally sent flowers but only after we complained to the manager. By then, the gesture felt forced and too late to make up for the poor handling of the situation.
Overall, I give this hotel a big fat zero for service. The property may look appealing, but the hospitality and overall guest experience fell far below what anyone should expect from a five-star hotel.

We stayed in an ocean front one bedroom villa and loved it. Great location, beautiful setting, lovely beach and exceptional staff! Dinner at sunset is absolutely stunning, and the food at Breeze restaurant is excellent. The staff always made an effort to seat people at tables with a view. Breakfast is also excellent and they offer all day breakfast, which is great for those of us on way off time zones. We usually miss the "free" breakfast at most places, so it was nice to just get up when we wanted and still be able to utilize the included breakfast. Afternoon tea is also included and quite lovely. The spa was so fantastic I would up getting a massage each morning. The beach is not a "swimming" beach, but it's great for jumping waves and there are small tidal sand pools to sit in as the waves come in as well. We were more interested in relaxing and the beach so we didn't really leave the property, it appeared to be in a great location though for those that wanted to have a bit of night life or shop. We were able to arrange pick up from Ubud and drop off at the airport fairly easily with the resort and the fees were reasonable considering we requested larger vehicles for our luggage. We spent a month traveling Australia and Bali and stayed at several places, this was my husband's favorite place.

Indian food section and vegetarian/vegan options during afternoon tea or otherwise really need to be looked into.

We were met at the airport by The Samaya van and warmly welcomed by the beautiful staff. Our pool villa was spacious, private, and absolutely stunning.
The resort itself is outstanding — every staff member was kind, caring, and so polite, and they all remembered our names, which made it feel extra special. We genuinely loved every one of them.
The food was divine, and on our final night our amazing butler, Kris, arranged a romantic table overlooking the sunset — just beautiful. 🌅
A huge bonus is the complimentary transport anywhere in Seminyak, which made getting around so easy.
We highly, highly recommend staying here — and we’ll definitely be back! 🌺

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Viceroy in Ubud, Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We had three rooms for our large group, and they graciously upgraded us to some of the best rooms available. The food was absolutely top-notch, truly five-star quality, and the service was impeccable. The entire environment and ambiance were just perfect. The management even came out to greet us, making us feel truly valued and appreciated. It’s rare to find such sincere hospitality. I can confidently say that The Viceroy is a gem in Bali, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional stay.

We will remember the beauty of the hotel, the friendliness and service levels provided by the staff, the location, the restaurant, the room.
At all times the staff went above and beyond to make sure we got the experience we wanted.
Our room was incredible: its size, the private pool with an amazing view, the Bale to enjoy the afternoon or the evening. It was perfect.
The hotel provides a shuttle into to town, or if you prefer you can organise a car into and back from town.
A good marker of a great hotel is staff turnover. We met staff members (and more than a few) that have been there since more or less the opening. That says a lot on the quality of the place and of the management.
Next time we are in Ubud we will certainly stay there! And thanks again to Patrick for a wonderful welcome surprise!

My stay at Viceroy Bali was unforgettable.
From the moment I arrived, I felt completely looked after. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, making the experience feel personal from start to finish.
The valley views are breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the privacy of each villa makes it feel incredibly secluded. The restaurant and facilities are exceptional, with a level of quality and detail that truly elevates the stay.

One of the most private and luxurious stays in Ubud. The staff’s warmth, the quality of the food, and the in-room controls all exceed those of many five-star resorts. They even preheat the pool upon request, and the two shuttle services to central Ubud are very convenient.Guests here also respect each other’s privacy, creating an atmosphere of complete peace and relaxation. This was my second visit, and I’m certain it won’t be my last. I highly recommend this property to my family, friends, and anyone seeking a truly serene luxury experience in Ubud.

Viceroy Bali ended up being one of the most memorable stays I have ever had. Our villa was stunning, beautifully designed, completely private, and so comfortable that we found ourselves wanting to stay in and simply enjoy the space. The whole place feels luxurious without trying too hard.
What really made the experience special was the staff. Every person we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Nothing felt scripted, just real hospitality from people who clearly care about making your stay perfect.
