I stayed here after discovering a rat in my Airbnb. I was having a horrible morning and I arrived at this DoubleTree and the service was amazing. I went early to drop off my bag because I was way too early for check in. The man at the front suggested I go check if there’s a room available for early check-in so I did. When I got to the front desk, Venetta (I hope I remember her name correctly, forgive me) was so helpful and kind. It was really refreshing after what I had to deal with the morning before. Venetta signed me up for Hilton Honors and explained so many benefits that come with being a member, like early check-in and Lyft points. She also gave me complimentary snacks and water that were delightful. I really really appreciated her and hope that this review goes a long way toward her development in the company. She is doing wonders at that front desk and I think that everyone could learn a lot from her service and knowledge. If I ever need somewhere to stay in the city or need to recommend a place, this location is great and nearby many train lines. I never get around to writing reviews but I don’t take genuine kindness lightly. Thank you Venetta! I hope this message gets back to you, you are appreciated.

Stayed here for a week in January and it was my first time in the US. I have booked the king room and it was lovely. The room was spacious and the bed was big enough for a decent night of sleep 👍literally same standard room as any other hotel we have here in Europe. Would definitely book again if I fancied another round in NYC ✅

The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Check-in was smooth and quick, but I must mention that the coffee machine didn’t work properly, and they didn’t provide basic amenities like water bottles. Additionally, we were on the 19th floor, and both elevators took an eternity to arrive. Consequently, on our last day, we resorted to using the stairs to descend.

Stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton New York Downtown for a simple trip and had a great experience. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side, but that’s pretty normal for downtown Manhattan. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. No issues at all during the stay. The location was a big plus, right in the heart of the Financial District, with easy access to subways, restaurants, and attractions nearby. If you’re looking for a clean, straightforward place to stay in lower Manhattan without any surprises, this is a solid choice.

The staff and location are excellent. The rooms need a bit of service. Broken TV mount, cracked shower basin, loose toilet seat all were a bit annoying. The elevators need up/down indicators at the landings, and really the building needs a dedicated service elevators and another regular. Special recognition due to Christina Sobel, the Sales Director. When the hotel was evacuated, she put herself in the path of a few hundred agitated guests to explain, guide and support as best she could for a MINIMUM of 3.5 hours, non-stop. While no job should demand that level of effort outside of "normal" duties, she rose to and surpassed the norm. Well done. K. & E. Tucker
