Elevators are awful. Have to use service elevator and those are slow and crowded too. Wait for elevator was never less than 3-4 minutes We stay at the New York Hilton Midtown every year when we come to visit our son, and we’ve always enjoyed the hotel. The location is incredibly convenient, and the staff is typically friendly and welcoming. It’s why we continue to return. That’s why it’s disappointing to have to write this. During this stay, there was an accident in the room that required the sheets to be changed due to soiled bedding. When I contacted housekeeping, I was told nothing could be done until 4:30 PM because of a shift change. I fully understand that operational transitions happen. However, sanitation issues should never be delayed due to staffing logistics. Clean bedding is a basic expectation, not an upgraded service. As returning guests — and loyal Hilton members — this response was surprising and not aligned with the level of service we’ve come to expect here. I share this in hopes that coverage during shift transitions is reviewed so future guests aren’t put in a similar position.

Stayed there for a convention. Hotel is gigantic, and the rooms are standard Hilton fare, clean, fresh, and comfortable, albeit small (like all hotel rooms in NYC). Staff was nice, and they have an option for virtual check in with cell phone app key system so I never even needed the front desk at all. Elevators are a mess. They are installing a new buttonless system that is very slow and frustrating. Really hated the elevators, and they seemed slower than ever to arrive. Fix this! Food in the hotel is outrageously expensive. $27 for a turkey sandwich? Uh, no, not doing that. Parking is $90/day, also outrageous. Location is in the middle of everything and close to MoMA and Central Park (walkable to both).

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I was staying here for 4 nights with a group of friends across different rooms. The one I reserved was for a king sized bed. I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready, the front desk offered to put me in a room that was, which I accepted. When I tried to go up to my room I found out about the elevator situation, for over 20 of the high rise floors they had a SINGLE functional elevator. I waited 10 minutes to go upstairs and find out the room was tiny, due to being cut in half by the stairwell, and was a smaller bed. So I take my bags and wait another 10 minutes to go back to the lobby and ask for a room that is similar to the one I booked, which was granted. (The staff was very nice and understanding throughout my stay, they were just restricted by the rules they had to follow) Every time I had to go to or from the room it was at least a 5 minute wait and sometimes upwards of 15 minutes. Instead of exploring the city I was stuck waiting. On the final day of my stay I found dried blood on the sheets, and went to clean off and ended up slipping due to the showers anti slip being half faded. I reported this to staff who apologized for the inconvenience and told me to wait in line at the front desk if I wanted to talk to someone. After leaving a complaint form Hilton Security reached out to me and requested to know personal information including my social security number and employment information. I asked why they needed that when it’s completely irrelevant and they said ‘insurance reasons.’ Other minor issues included the thermostats not working, I was told by my friends who also stayed here theirs didn’t either and asked a housekeeper who told me none of them did. Pictures are of the tub and the great “view” from the room. Find any of the other hotels near by, this one is not worth the risk.

Hateful Company!!!!! Stayed there multiple times and always had a won derail experience. Always booked directly with them in lieu of better pricing as those sites aren't upfront about what you may get. Anyhow the last time I stayed there they absolutely lied to me. The gym was closed and they never informed me of that when I booked. The I complained and said I would rather stay elsewhere they told me I would be charged for the full price even if I left. I stayed hoping it would unravel around. It did not. manager refused go speak with meshes employee made antisemitic remarks to me multiple times and I was over billed! Terrible customer service and disgusting lack of morals and principles. To this day no one has even reached out to apologize and Ive emailed and called corporate multiple times! Do not go there if you don't want to propogate hate! They are conveniently located and they bank off of that

The hotel is centrally located in midtown, huge plus. There are no good food offerings in the hotel but plenty of other good options close by. The food offered at the bar after 10pm is terrible. Just go hungry, your welcome. The elevators are a disaster. Ive heard the issue has been ongoing. You will wait about five minutes and when the elevator arrives its full. The phone in our room was out of order for our stay, never remediated. Summary, great location.
