I would not recommend to stay at this hotel at all unless it’s for location. The service sucks at the front desk and there’s no parking garage in the hotel. We had to park down the block and get a ticket and still charged us $60 a night that was the discount. The actual price was $68 to park your car there for staying at the hotel. Also, we have 5 to 8 bags each, and there was no person to help us carry it to our room because we got there a little bit after midnight. The room was a very small box and after all the money you pay, you do not have a mini refrigerator or microwave unless you pay $25 extra to have. There wasn’t even hand soap to wash your hands. This place was only good for to walk in distance to Times Square. It’s very loud at night all you hear is ambulance sirens all night. The windows are filthy. You can’t even see outside. It’s like they’re never clean. For being such a big hotel, they have no restaurants but a TikTok restaurant that the chairman doesn’t even eat there because he thinks the food is nasty and there is no pool either.

We had a lovely time in NYC. Hotel is in a great location, right next to Penn station, madison square gardens and 10 min walk to Times Square. We had a nice room, albeit small and a bit dated, but with a view to die for. We had a little issue with the room, as it was a bit noisy, and that issue was sorted within 30 minutes and we were given a new room. That’s great service. Shout out to the person responsible for that, we didn’t get his name, I believe he was the manager in charge of customer experience (?). Room cleanliness was decent. Security team was friendly. Things that could be improved: little small touches like a few complimentary bottles of water on arrival would be nice. Bit unnecessary to pay fee to store luggage, as never experienced such thing, either in great hotels or more modest ones (5 dollar per item). All in all, it’s all about location and comfort , location was great, bed was comfy, bathrooms could have been more modern but they did the job, the only issue we encountered was resolved promptly. View was pretty magical. All in all, we had a great time in NYC and this hotel was a nice choice. Loads of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

Nada! Assistant Manager at the New Yorker Hotel I recently stayed at the New Yorker Hotel and unfortunately left my hair styler inside the room safe. When I realized, I reached out for help — but after dealing with several different staff members in person, I was passed from one person to the next with no real effort made to locate my item. A few front desk employees seemed bothered by my requests to double-check all possibilities, and I left without even being given a case number. I went home feeling frustrated, unheard, and convinced my item was gone for good. Then I spoke with Nada, the Assistant Manager and everything changed. From the moment she picked up the phone, I could hear in her tone that she genuinely wanted to help. She didn’t rush me or dismiss me, instead, she asked thoughtful, specific questions and gathered every detail she needed. For the first time, I felt like someone was truly taking ownership of the situation. Within 10 minutes, she called me back — she found my hair styler. It had been accidentally logged under a different room number (an honest human error), but she sorted it out immediately. She even arranged for the Lost & Found team to contact me personally to verify the item, ensuring it was indeed mine. Nada made me feel like more than “just another tourist who lost something.” She showed care, professionalism, and genuine dedication. qualities that are rare and deeply appreciated. Thank you, Nada. The New Yorker Hotel is incredibly lucky to have someone as caring, capable, and committed as you on their team.

Stay at the New Yorker by Lotte for 5 nights – overall a positive experience with a few drawbacks. The hotel has an old-school feel, a bit dated, but with a real retro charm that gives it character. The rooms are comfortable, especially the beds. We were lucky to be upgraded upon arrival thanks to Mohammed at the front desk, whom I would like to especially thank. He was outstanding: very professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay as pleasant as possible. He also allowed us a late check-out at 12 pm instead of 11 am, which was much appreciated. The location is a major advantage: very central, well connected to multiple subway lines, and within walking distance of many attractions, including Madison Square Garden. Note: if your room faces MSG, it can be a bit noisy on event nights, even on higher floors. A few downsides: * The breakfast, served at the Tick Tock Restaurant, is very basic (hot drink, orange juice, and a simple choice like muffin, bagel, toasts). For a more complete breakfast, you need to pay extra, which quickly becomes expensive. It’s better to eat elsewhere. * Luggage storage is charged ($5 per bag), which is unusual for a hotel of this standing. * No fridge in the room, which can be inconvenient, especially during summer. Overall: a well-located hotel with retro charm and excellent front desk service, but some secondary services could be improved.

Overall stay was good. Hotel does need to invest in brining it up to date. Hallway carpets are old and a fresh coat of paint would help. But it is an Icon of NYC and some of the spaces in the hotel are historic. In terms of service, we had an exceptional experience with Naida Aldama who took care of us from A to Z. Thank you Naida, you're awesome!!!! Also the staff at the Mailroom was great, we had a lot of packages come thru for the Westminster Dog Show and Ms Henry took care of us, what a personality and positivity. Two great professionals and NYC hotel should be proud to have them on their staff. One more thing, Tic Toc dinner was great, staff and food were fantastic, nothing like a late nite (1AM) to get a nice meal with great service. Thank you NYC Hotel and NYC overall, had fun!
