We got the the hotel early in the morning knowing our room wouldn’t be ready. They gladly took our luggage and told us the room would be ready at 2:30. We went out into the city to enjoy the day and our room was ready right on time. The door staff was absolutely amazing every time we stepped outside asking if we needed a taxi, where we were headed for the day and held the door open for us every time. The room was an amazing size for NYC and the layout was great for a family of 4. When we asked the front desk for anything it was delivered with a few minutes. Location was great if you’re taking a train somewhere. Otherwise a short taxi ride was needed to all of the sites to see. Will definitely be going back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Westgate Hotel in New York City! We were celebrating our anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with an upgrade to a balcony room overlooking the Hudson River. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture, and we couldn't have been more grateful. Waking up to those views made our trip even more memorable. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Grand Central Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Our room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and remarkably quiet. We couldn't hear guests in the rooms next to us or above us, which is impressive for a hotel in NYC. Of course, you can hear some street noise if the balcony door is open, but that's all part of the New York experience! The bed was extremely comfortable, the staff was exceptional from check-in to check-out, and everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. We also enjoyed the hotel bar, which was excellent and a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. From the outstanding service and beautiful accommodations to the fantastic location, everything exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights, we were hesitant because we’ve never heard of this hotel and some older reviews were questionable. I’m here to say this hotel was truly amazing, everyone was incredibly friendly from the front desk, cleaning crew, door man. The room was very spacious, bed comfortable, we had a nice view and the bathroom was great. My only two things were they only have cable tv so i’d bring a fire stick if you want to watch Netflix or anything other than cable and the drain in our shower clogged but they fixed it within 15 minutes of us reporting it so that’s not even an issue. We also felt very safe in the area if that’s something that your worried about and easily were able to get to the subway station in 5 min walking. Truly a 10/10 experience we will 100% be staying here again! Thank you to the amazing staff!

Hotel has charm. Service is even better. Christina at check-in was perfect 24 hours. Security got a chance to learn about the history of the hotel from Peter. Fantastic place to stay when you are on the lower east side. Also great espresso and coffee in room. Tony in house keeping made it spotless! Michael and Tony made for a great check out. Highly recommend.

Just got back (July 2026) from our fantastic New York weekend. Our stay at Westgate Grand Central was perfect! Location, staff, ameniall-weather, all great. We were there for the big 4th of July celebration and everybody was super helpful making our weekend a truly memorable stay.
