This weekend me and my partner stayed at Yotel. We chose this hotel because it was convenient for our plans and it looked nice. Upon arrival the staff were friendly but what awaited us in our room was not what we expected. The bed sheets were stained with weird brown spots as well as the countertops, seemed to be makeup from a previous person. There was a very mildew smell coming from the shower that made the room intolerable. The hotel claims to be very tech advanced but that was not the case. The thermostat in our room was completely turned off, the towel heater was not working and the backlight to the vanity mirror also was not working. Let’s not even mention the dust buildup. Once we brought these problems to the attention of one of the concierge staff they said there was nothing they could do because housekeeping is not available all day. He proceeded to say he would send someone to change our sheets though and when we returned to the room, after being served flat ginger beer at the bar, the new sheets were tossed on the bed forcing me and my partner to put them on ourselves. Normally I wouldn’t mind making my own bed but since I paid $400 for the room and hotel services I would expect someone else to put them on for me in this situation. Overall don’t let the tiktok reviews fool you. This hotel definitely has its cons and to me is not worth the price for how small the rooms are and for how dirty our room was. Hopefully those reading have a better experience

We arrived at the hotel feeling a bit hesitant because of the Google reviews. There was indeed some visible wear and tear in places, but overall the experience was good and everything felt compact and practical. When booking, you can already see that the room is not large, but it was completely sufficient for our stay. The bathroom lacked some privacy, but as a married couple, that wasn’t an issue for us. We stayed on the top floor and the views were amazing. The electronic bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The staff were genuinely very friendly and welcoming. Despite these small shortcomings, I’m still giving a full five stars. Thank you — I would gladly come back again.

I was always told to never stay near Times Square because it's unbearably crowded, but during the World Cup and Pride weekend, it honestly wasn't as busy as I expected. The hotel is just off 9th Avenue, which has tons of great restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Being so close to Times Square was actually a huge plus—you can easily walk there first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive. The location is definitely this hotel's biggest selling point. That said, the location was unfortunately the highlight of our stay. Everything else fell below expectations. On our first morning, housekeeping walked into our room while we were still inside, which was pretty uncomfortable. At night, the room became uncomfortably hot, and the thermostat was locked, so we couldn't adjust the temperature. I also expected the grab-and-go station to be a convenient perk, but it closes early, making it useless if you want a late-night snack. Finally, the elevators were incredibly slow. They took so long that we genuinely started wondering if we were stuck. Also, we left by 10am and returned at 11-1am and house keeping did not come to clean our rooms on 2/3 nights. Overall, the location is fantastic, but the hotel itself didn't live up to what we were expecting.

I recently stayed at YOTEL Times Square and was impressed by its futuristic, efficient concept. The room felt almost like a compact spaceship cabin. The bed folded away at the touch of a button, creating extra standing space during the day. Despite the small footprint, a narrow floor-to-ceiling window offered a beautiful view toward New Jersey. The hotel experience is highly automated. Check-in is done through self-service stations similar to those found at airports, and you can issue as many key cards as needed. One interesting aspect is the elevator system: you first take an elevator to the 4th floor and then transfer to a second set of elevators to reach the upper guest floors, such as the 19th floor. The location is extremely convenient, situated on the edge of Times Square along 10th Avenue, allowing easy access to the theater district while being slightly removed from the busiest crowds. The biggest surprise was the price. During the first week of the World Cup, when many Manhattan hotels had increased their rates to $1,200 to $1,800 per night, YOTEL was still available for around $300 per night, making it one of the best value options in the city. Overall, YOTEL offers a modern, efficient, and surprisingly enjoyable stay for travelers who appreciate innovative use of space, technology, and smart value during peak travel periods.

I stayed for 8 days. This hotel markets itself as a trendy, modern, minimalist establishment. But when you look past that, it’s a bit run-down. The rooms are extremely tiny and there is no real bathroom setup, just a toilet with a sliding door, so I think this is really only ideal for solo guests. Cleanliness is acceptable, place is just a bit run-down like I said. 4th floor rooftop is the ONLY amenity here, but you can only sit there with a purchase? Worst elevator service I have EVER encountered. I was waiting 10-20 minutes. Ice & water machine on my floor was broken. Extremely limited meal options, yet no fridge or microwave available for you anywhere to store any of your own food/drinks/snacks. However, location is excellent. Service was excellent, our concerns were attended to quickly and politely. Housekeeping was frequent, place was being consistently cleaned and always had a pleasant smell. Pretty mediocre experience, I probably wouldn’t stay here again with such a high nightly price and such few amenities, but if your expectations are minimal & you do well in a cramped space then you’d probably be satisfied enough.
