I recently stayed at Park Central Hotel NYC and was unexpectedly charged a smoking fee after checkout. I am a non-smoker, and the individuals I traveled with are also non-smokers. We gladly signed and agreed to the hotel’s non-smoking policy at check-in because we specifically chose and appreciated staying in a smoke-free environment. At no time during our stay did anyone smoke in the room. I was informed that the fee may have been triggered by a detector; however, the only device used that could have produced heat or airflow was a Dyson hair dryer. There was absolutely no smoking. I have contacted the hotel multiple times to dispute this charge and request a proper review, but I have not received a clear or helpful resolution. It is extremely disappointing to be charged a significant fee despite fully complying with the policy we willingly agreed to. I am simply asking for a fair investigation and the removal of a charge that appears to be inaccurate. I hope management will reach out promptly to resolve this matter. Overall had a wonderful stay mariah the receptionist was amazing! she helped us with all our questions as well as giving us some recommendations and did all with a great attitude, truly made us have a great start to our nyc trip! We did have one issue with a left behind item, we were not made aware of item untill we realized it was lost and when we returned back to hotel to get it we asked guest services if we didn’t come back would they have let us know and they proceeded to tell us they didn’t know who was in the room previously because something about how the history is deleted which makes no sense to me because if we were to have damaged the room they would’ve been quick to charge the card on file! Regardless we did enjoy our trip and initial service was amazing. Would definitely return.

Clean and quiet, I spent 5 days without leaving my room, it was comfortable. The hotel restaurant and bar are beautiful and elegant. They just need to replace the TVs and cable, a minor thing since you're there to relax. The beds are comfortable ✨️👌 I paid a good price and received more than I imagined They're not buffet breakfasts, but a croissant and a coffee can brighten your day 👍

We stayed in mid February 2 adults 2 children on a double room. To be honest, the hotel is very good for the price you pay, where the hotel is. The room was clean, bathroom was clean, beds were comfortable, heating system worked, hot water worked, and elevators worked (checking on some of the complaints I did read on other comments). I booked before reading the reviews and I was almost cancelling, but since the pattern is that people with negative experiences tend to post more, we kept our reservation. The room was ample for Manhattan on that price range (even with a working desk that we needed!). The gym was good (peloton bikes, rowing machines, treadmills, free weights... Clean and taken care of), there is an option for fast breakfast at the hotel, but PLENTY of amazing coffee shops in 5 minutes, plenty of restaurants of all kinds, Central Park at two blocks, Time Square five minute walk... Again, it is not the Plaza for sure - but for what you pay, it is really good. We would go back there with no problem. And the people at the hotel, really friendly. So... Happy with the choice and cost.

Park Central Hotel is a convenient Midtown classic! Location is strong—right near Central Park, Carnegie Hall, and easy access to Times Square/Broadway. Rooms were clean and comfortable (nice beds, good size for NYC), though a bit dated in decor. Service was friendly enough—staff helpful with check-in and requests. Great value for the prime spot—perfect for exploring Manhattan without breaking the bank. Would stay again!
