I called Marriot about checking out and they told me I could stay until 3p since I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member. I confirmed with the lady at the front desk and she said yes. I was ecstatic and took a nap until 1:30p. At 1, the general manager, Ralph, opened up my door while I was asleep and told me I needed to leave immediately. I asked him to close the door and I called Marriott to confirm. Ralph threatened to call the police on me and I told him that was unfair and there was no notice. Then the police arrived, forced me to pack my things, and kicked me out. The lady at the front desk took no accountability and started back tracking her words. When I went down to check out the lady was very apologetic. When I initially checked in I overheard a man who was solo traveling and a woman with two kids arguing with the front desk about being kicked out. I heard the woman saying the manager, Ralph, opened the door while her daughter was half-naked. The manager had called the police on them. I assumed there was a booking issue. Now I know that it was surely not the customers fault. My trip ended in tears. This hotel will overbook rooms. They will open your room while you’re naked or asleep and kick you out. He didn’t even have the decency to knock on the door. Instead of an apology they will call the police and threaten you. They have the police there multiple times a day. It was completely unreasonable, scary, and illogical. This place is dangerous, I do not recommend for neither solo travelers nor families of any background.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel, but Jason and Francesca Gamboa made it outstanding!! I arrived in the late evening and went back to the front desk later that night, and Jason and Francesca went above and beyond! I've stayed at dozens of hotel for personal and work travel, and their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care really stood out. It’s rare to encounter customer service at that level, and they absolutely made a lasting impression. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel, especially because of Jason and Francesca, and the other front desk staff.

​I highly recommend staying at this hotel! The location is great, and but Jason C. at the front desk really made the stay an enjoyable one. I stayed during a slammed weekend, and even with a line out the door, Jason stayed totally cool and gave every single guest his full attention. He is willing to go above and beyond to help any and all guest with issues/concerns that may pop up. He's a true assest to the hospitality industry. ​It’s rare to see someone work that hard while staying so kind and professional. He knows his stuff and actually cares about making sure you have the best possible stay. Jason is a total pro and the hotel is lucky to have him.

I stayed here a week and was very impressed. The rooms aren't huge, but very neat and tidy. Housekeeping staff went above and beyond to accommodate any wishes and did a wonderful makeover of the room. Reception staff was always friendly and helpful in case of questions. Overall a very nice hotel in an optimal location, close to the subway and the World Trade Center Complex. Only point of criticism is the elevator controls, which sometimes took for ever to arrive, and tried to accommodate to many requests from all floors to one elevator at a time.

Had a decent stay overall. The rooms were quite small for the price, but that’s pretty typical for downtown NYC. The location is amazing — lots of food spots nearby and a convenience store close by as well. Room service was excellent. The elevators were extremely busy and took a while to catch, but manageable. We were also woken up in the middle of the night due to a false alarm, which was a bit off‑putting. Still, it was a decent stay overall.
