Hotel over all is a mess. Location is pretty close to the center of it all. But the hotel itself, much less than what I expected. Booked a room with a terrace and guess what?! Couldn't access the terrace as it was locked, front desk couldn't say anything besides "we can't unlock it". When asked if they would, or why, it was "we can't". --- that will next move onto a dispute with our bank as we have attempted to resolve this with no resolution. We simply, did not get what we paid for. Spot in the corner of the room has water leaking from an access panel. Called the front desk to notify them. Never heard anything back, they only responded with okay, thanks for telling us. Uh. Wouldn't maintenance come or anything? Nope. I easily would have booked another hotel had I known this would be an issue Door guy is nice but that's roughly about it. A bear in the gift shop, $44 🤣🤣🤣 found the same at one of the I love Ny shops for $11. Ah!

The only place we stay in NYC. While we don't necessarily consider ourselves "tourists" because we visit so frequently, the Hotel Edison is the top choice for our entire family when we visit. The location is convenient to all of our favorite little restaurants, it's clean, organized and the price is right. But the best part for all of us is the staff. We've stayed there so often that our favorite bellman, Gio, recognizes us and the kids. He's just wonderful and we always look forward to seeing him (and, of course, our dear friend at the front desk who is so accommodating to send up coffee whenever we run out!) Thank you, Hotel Edison, for making Gracie's Sweet 16 birthday trip so special!

I recently spent four nights at the Hotel Edison in Times Square, and the experience was everything you hope for when staying right in the pulse of New York City. From the moment I stepped inside, the hotel’s classic Art Deco charm set the tone — stylish, welcoming, and full of character. The location simply can’t be beat. Step outside and you’re instantly surrounded by the energy of Times Square — the lights, the theaters, the endless excitement. Yet inside, the hotel feels surprisingly calm and comfortable, offering a cozy retreat from the city buzz. My room was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully laid out, with a bed that made it easy to rest after long days of exploring. Housekeeping was consistently attentive, and every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Whether it was recommendations, directions, or small requests, they handled everything with genuine warmth. The hotel’s amenities were a lovely bonus too — convenient dining options, the lobby, with its gleaming vintage touches, felt like a little slice of old New York glamour. Overall, Hotel Edison offered a perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and classic NYC charm. It’s an ideal home base for anyone wanting to be steps away from Broadway, great restaurants, and all the best Midtown has to offer.

Absolutely amazing location. Lovely staff. Added security at the lifts which felt safe. Always similar staff on the lifts so they knew the craic and familiar faces so was great to see. House keeping every day. Amazing food in restaurants. Friedmans had staff singing every night from 5pm - 8pm I think? They were amazing. Like 2 mins walk from Times Square (black out blinds) 8-10 mins walk to Rockefeller Centre / St. Patrick's Cathedral. Pizza gaff right nearby, convenience store and the best Irish bar (The Mean Fiddler) We travelled with 2 kids and the room sizes was very spacious for NY. Hop on / hop off bus 1 min walk from hotel. Will 100% be back. Thank you.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Edison Times Square for a long weekend in New York City, and it was the perfect base for exploring the Theater District. Built in 1931 with iconic Art Deco style (Thomas Edison himself flipped the switch at the opening!), the hotel blends vintage charm with modern updates. The Location (10/10): Unbeatable! Just steps from Broadway theaters, Times Square lights, subway stations, and endless restaurants. I walked everywhere – no need for cabs most days. The Room: I had a Signature King room, which felt surprisingly spacious for NYC standards. Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, flat-screen TV, and plenty of outlets. It was clean, quiet (despite the central location), and recently renovated with a fresh, stylish vibe.
