I’ve been to NYC about a dozen times. This hotel is the best I’ve stayed at in terms of location and meeting my travel needs. It was just me and my 20-year-old son, and the vibe of this hotel was perfect. Rooms are small, but functional and super clean. Shower was hot, with outstanding water pressure. We had an interior room, and never heard any noises. Housekeeping was superior. I like the $20 daily voucher for a fresh pastry, and free morning coffee in the lounge. Craig and Ricky, hospitality employees, were awesome! We checked in early and received an extra credit in the lounge for a mixup in the daily voucher. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Complimentary evening candy bar in the lobby was a nice treat at the end of a long day of exploring. Close to the subway station. Loved this hotel!

We were truly blown away by our weeklong stay at Moxy Hotel Times Square. From the front desk to room service and the restaurant staff, everyone was exceptionally kind, professional, and welcoming. The room was spotless, and the bathroom and shower were immaculate. Our daughter, a nurse, stayed with us for part of the visit and brought her dog, and the team could not have been more accommodating and friendly to both of them. While in New York for cancer scans and treatments, the care and comfort we experienced meant more than we can say. It’s clear this is a place with outstanding leadership and a culture that truly puts people first—kudos to the entire team!!!

Moxy is ideally located, especially as it was only a few minutes walk away from Madison Square Garden. Upon arrival, we were checked in by the delightful Ronnie. To hear her speak was the best possible start to the stay. We got the twin room we had requested. The configuration was a little tight but I assume that's to be expected with space at a premium in this part of the world. That I can excuse but I couldn't excuse the fact that the toilet didn't flush (after a No.1!) and the fact that the sink was not draining the water properly. We reported the issue as we headed out for a few hours. We returned hoping the issue was resolved and were advised that it had been attended to by maintenance. Sadly, it was evident that no maintenance had taken place because the issues still remained. After some more calls, maintenance did attend and resolved the issues. On the plus side in the bathroom, the shower was good with excellent pressure and hot water. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room, which I found a little odd and because of the compact configuration, there was only one small bedside table. The complimentary waters on a daily basis were much appreciated though. The main reason why this wasn't a 2 star experience is because of the warmth and hospitality shown by Ronnie every time we saw her on reception. It's how I imagined a New Yorker to be and she made the NYC experience feel that much more authentic. She's a credit to Moxy and I, for one, hope she goes places!

Stayed here for five nights in August 2025 and overall had a really solid New York experience. The location is the biggest win. Right on West 36th Street and 7th Avenue, with multiple subway stations nearby. Times Square is about 600 metres away—around 9 minutes walking, or 5 if you walk fast like me. This is a boutique hotel, so yes, the room is small—but the space design is very smart. Foldable table and chair, loads of wall hooks and hangers, hairdryer and mirror mounted on the wall, and storage under the bed. You can actually walk around the bed, which I really appreciated (unlike some similar hotels). Bathroom was surprisingly spacious and fun, with a playful “swimming pool” theme and good amenities. Bed was comfortable too. We started on the 7th floor and later moved to the 17th floor (they were super accommodating). The higher floor was better—more light, more windows, and a nice view of 7th Avenue. None of the rooms really have a Times Square view, but that is expected given the building height. Staff were excellent—friendly, fast, and always available at reception. The common areas are lively and well designed. A couple of honest downsides: The air-conditioning vent is right next to the bed, so it can get noisy and very cold at night. Lifts can get extremely crowded during peak times (we once walked up 17 floors… New York cardio). Skip the breakfast. It is basically a voucher for banana bread and a drink—not worth it. That said, the daily $20 credit is great. We used it for excellent coffee (surprisingly good—even by Australian standards), overnight oats, and snacks. You also get daily vouchers you can redeem for activities—we used one for a Statue of Liberty cruise and ended up in the VIP section, which was a nice surprise. Bottom line: Great location, clever room design, friendly staff, and good value for NYC. Skip the breakfast, enjoy the coffee, and you will have a great stay.

I had a fantastic stay at the Moxy Hotel Times Square. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of everything, close to the subway and path, yet surprisingly quiet once inside. The hotel has a really trendy, modern vibe as well as a rooftop bar, and cafe that makes the whole experience feel very fun. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which made a big difference. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the room felt well-kept and comfortable. Overall, it was a great stay from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, convenient, and enjoyable place to stay in New York.
