First time at the Marquis and it won't be our last. As former NYers, the hotel always seemed kind of hokey/touristy. Well, we were proven wrong and happily I might add! The service is TOP NOTCH! From the reception (who went out of their way to offer up an hour later check out with a new card for the M lounge) to the guys handling valet and luggage, to the waiter in the M lounge who cleaned up with a huge smile on his face, our stay was fabulous. Everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was quiet and well-appointed. I liked the way you had to use your card via screen to get to your floor. The 8th floor has a great atmosphere and the M lounge was a perfect place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. You can't beat the location with everything at your fingertips, Times Square and the rest of Manhattan ready when you are. We were just so impressed with all of the staff and it made us proud of our city. Keep up the good work!

This hotel is a massive structure with nearly 2000 rooms. It took over 4 hours at check-in for us to get our room! We were not alone; during our stay we would see many guest with their luggage sitting on the lobby “benches” waiting for their room. I had to resort to grabbing a “manager” and pleading with him to expedite our room assignment which he finally did. At every encounter with the reception staff we were told the hotel is so big that it’s not easy to handle everything! They were obviously overwhelmed themselves and their attitude toward the guest showed. If you can’t handle it then hire more people! The hotel of this size had only one main venue to have breakfast. We gave up after the first morning waiting to be seated for about an hour. As for the location, yes it is Time Square but it is super crowded and would not certainly come back here. The room was of average size with modern bathroom. One standout was the housekeeping which was always attentive and helpful. I will certainly pick a different property next time.

This is an older Marriott and it needs updating. As a platinum elite member I have yet to get an upgrade here other than facing Times Square despite several upgraded eligible rooms showing availability on line. The club lounge is underwhelming, dark and feels cramped and old. The bartender was great but $30 per glass of wine was absurd. They only give you one key to access the lounge so leaving early in the morning for work and wanting to get breakfast without having my spouse get up with me was not possible. The evening food selection in the lounge was awful. All carbs. We had to ask for bottled water which is included but no one tells you but they charge a $40/day destination charge so remember to ask for your included items! If you buy something in the restaurant or lounge you need to charge it to the room to get your $40 credit. They also offer some free tickets at the concierge but we couldn’t use them. Both times eating at the restaurant was a good experience. The bed was okay.

New York Marriott Marquis-the location is unbeatable — right in Times Square with direct access to all major attractions. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. Staff members were extremely helpful and courteous throughout, and the check-in process was effortless. Elevators are fast and efficient, and the hotel feels very safe even when busy. A special word of appreciation for Ms. Aracely Castillo, who truly went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a real difference. Perfect place for families, professionals, or anyone attending conferences.

Convenient location just off the bustle of Times Square and close to the activity of Broadway shows and other tourist activities. Very kind and helpful staff. Felt safe and comfortable. Clean room and amazing bedding (like a cloud). The View lounge is a must see for a few cocktails and skyline.
