The Lucerne gives the illusion of luxury with zero luxury. Door men that hold the door for you but don't greet you. Sometimes they even stand in your way of the door and don't acknowledge you. Elevators that take forever to arrive (and we traveled during a non busy time). Rooms are tiny (to be expected) and beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Housekeeping timing is super inconsistent. First day they came between 7:30-8:30 when we were at breakfast and the next day we were out all day 8-4 and they tried to come the moment we got back to the room. When I asked them to come back later I got a call with an attitude saying "You told my housekeeper to come back but didn't specify when." Location is great though, that's the main reason we booked it. Lots of great restaurants and bear subway and bus stops. Would not recommend or go back.

Great rooms and service. The breakfast at their restaurant is amazing (not included in the cost of stay, just saying you don’t need to walk around looking for a good breakfast place), close to red line subway (same block) and 2 blocks away from the Central Park. Lots of great dining places. We had an amazing experience staying with them

Got it! Here’s a general example: "I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the USA. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, and the location was perfect—close to all the main attractions. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!" Does that sound like the kind of thing you had in mind, or would you like any tweaks?Got it! Here’s a general example: "I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the USA. We loved this hotel so much on our first trip to NYC that we booked it again when we came back this year. Lovely, clean hotel. Extremely friendly staff. Awesome cafe attached to the lobby. Amazing location a block from the Natural History Museum.

For a 4 star hotel, I am so disappointed. The rooms are musty and feel dirty. The amenities like AC don’t work. The walls are paper thin and for a nonsmoking hotel everyone has/had been smoking. Even the staff are tired and just also want to get out of there. The experience feels like a motel rather than a hotel, and for the price they charge that is outrageous. The location is great, but there are so many other hotels in the area, and I beg you to stay at one of them instead.
