Great rooms and service. The breakfast at their restaurant is amazing (not included in the cost of stay, just saying you don’t need to walk around looking for a good breakfast place), close to red line subway (same block) and 2 blocks away from the Central Park. Lots of great dining places. We had an amazing experience staying with them

Pleasant and care-free hotel with excellent location. Away from "the maddening crowd" of other parts of Manhattan. Graced with wonderful doormen! The rooms are different configurations. I prefer reserving with the on-site reservation person, by phone. And I always request room windows that look out on Amsterdam or 79th Street. When you check in, you can ask for more details about whatever room you are assigned. Recently, I had requested a 2 bed corner room, Amsterdam and 79th Street, like one I had stayed in a previous time. Not available when we checked in. Effy, on the front desk, knew my disappointment, and offered me a room he said I would like better. And we did like it better! Such individual care and attention. We had the same housecleaner all 5 days, Carmen, and she was wonderful. I left notes saying what we wanted done, or, left undone. She supplied extras of what we requested. A huge plus for this hotels are the bathrooms, WITH windows!!! And bathtubs! Yes, "old fashioned," but so restful. Public transportation is so easy from this location. Buses across 79th Street. Subway at the other end of the block, which is Broadway. Also buses there. Of course, the doormen can hail a taxi for you. A wonderful deli just across the street. I have stayed here many times, with grandchildren, friends, and alone. A great choice.

Great location, nice staff, clean and spacious rooms. Absolutely TERRIBLE elevators. Unbearable during "rush hour", especially for the in-between floors. Nice views of the city from my room and from the rooftop.

Nice spot with a great location. Eco mode AC that will no keep cool sleepers cool due to a number of things. No mini fridge but I guess you could ask for one but no microwave so not sure the point. Comfortable otherwise.

This hotel, conveniently situated near Central Park, museums, and restaurants, boasts friendly staff and clean rooms. However, a few drawbacks need to be addressed. The bedrooms are cramped, leaving little room for luggage. The bathrooms are equally lacking, with no hooks or designated spots for toiletries, making it challenging for two people to move around comfortably. Another inconvenience is the absence of a smart TV, as most people prefer streaming services over traditional channels. Consequently, we resorted to using our computers for entertainment. The most significant issue we encountered was the hotel’s policy of non-refundability, even for bookings made two months in advance. This policy is a major drawback and a major concern for potential guests. Despite these shortcomings, we had a generally pleasant stay. However, it was not the most comfortable option for a longer duration.
