Spent five nights here in winter 2020 (just before the COVID outbreak). Our room was fine, nothing special. Housekeeping (or other staff members) would let themselves into our room on several occasions without knocking or announcing themselves at all. Restaurant service was mostly abysmal, with over 45 minutes of waiting for any dinner service on our first night. The beach was a bust, because we couldn’t sit in peace for even a moment without some type of saleperson approaching us to try and sell us their wares. Absolutely wouldn’t come here again.

After flying 10hours from France and not knowing what to expect , I can say that I spent an amazing 10 days vacation in Be Live Collection Adults Only Punta Cana with my mother in every way.
The hotel is very clean, cozy,and beautifully designed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds.
The chefs and the staff are very friendly having always a service with a smile.
The food was very fresh and tasty with lots of variety .
The beach was beautiful and long , great for walks.
In addition the General Manager and Nicolas from the VP desk were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like home.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitively come back even if I have to fly another 10hours ! :)

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

Been here 3x and 5x over all in Dominican. Place has always treated me, my family and friends extremely well. If you had bad service your probably cheap (tips) or rude to them. I tipped well and they never stopped serving me and remembered us 2 years later. Room and resort was always super clean. The buffet was great. The Steak house wasn’t my favourite but remember where you are the beef ain’t like back home. But the other a la carts were delicious. One down fall is the ocean water you have to walk a little bit to have nice water. But this place have multiple pools. If you enjoy staying out late they have a amazing disco. 24 hour snack bar with wings, pizza and burgers was great at 3am. Best bang for your money hands down.

The resort is very good for young people. The food is delicious and there are a lot of activities you can do. Our room was big and clean, so we had nothing to complain about. Every evening is a program on the stage next to the main bar from different artists and also the animators. The animators are all very nice and fun. I espacially liked Daniel, we played Soccer at the beach and he helped me out at the hotels gym. I really recommend coming to this resort.

For a hotel that presents itself as a premium destination, our stay was very disappointing. A word we kept hearing from the activity staff at the pool, often used to joke with tourists, ended up describing our experience perfectly: catastrófico.
- housekeeping was inconsistent. Fresh towels were often not provided, the room was not properly cleaned, and we had to repeatedly ask for water and basic supplies.
- during our two-week stay, the pool was never properly cleaned. On windy and cooler days, the pool water became very cold, making it difficult for kids to enjoy any activities. (Bonus, I add a picture with the kids pool in the morning, after they supposedly cleaned it)
- In the kids’ zone, the staff seemed bothered by the kids’ presence. There was no interaction, only to tell them "don't do this or that" and they didn’t engage or play with the kids at all
- at the restaurant and the bar, service clearly depended on tips. If you didn’t tip, you were often ignored or left waiting a long time.
The good things:
- beach is really nice in this area when there are no waves
- food was good and they had diversity.

Overall, Impressive Punta Cana is a good hotel. The rooms were clean, the organization around the resort was nice, and the beach was amazing — definitely one of the best parts of the stay. The hotel grounds are well maintained, and the staff was generally friendly and polite. Plus the activities are very good!
The biggest negative point was transportation, especially to and from the airport. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service and provides no real assistance for arrival or departure. Transportation was chaotic when we arrived at the airport, and we almost got left behind. You really have to figure everything out on your own. If you’re stuck at the airport or trying to leave, the hotel does not help — you’re basically on your own.
Another serious issue was the excursion sellers inside the hotel. Prices appeared to vary depending on the guest, and in some cases were significantly inflated. There was a lot of pressure to pay immediately, including rushing guests to the ATM, which was extremely uncomfortable.
In my case, the seller stood next to me at the ATM, attempted to handle my bank card, and tried to select a savings withdrawal himself. He withdrew 12,000 Dominican pesos, saying he would return with change, but never did, even after we asked for it.
While this kind of behavior might unfortunately be expected outside the resort, it is completely unacceptable from people operating inside the hotel. This experience seriously affected our sense of safety and trust.

Impressive is not a bad resort , what made it so horrible for me it was my encounter with upfront customer service. I would hoped they do at some point improves on that dept . What made it special the rest of the trip ,to us it was the people that work within for impressive that we met along the way . First Rainer ( maletero) from picking us up to bring us to our room made the bad experience from front desk so much better for us . A few amazing staff members from the Buffet, Esperanza, Martha, the juice bar lady and some of the cook line folks -Thank You for treating us like family ! Great entertaining group ! Thx for spaghetti for taking the time to get to know you better . Keep up that spirit . Beautiful Beach view , and it was clean the whole time we were there !

Overall, my stay at the resort was good. The room was nice and the location was convenient. However, the food could be improved, as there were many flies in the restaurant area. I also noticed that the pool wasn’t very clean. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and insect control, this place could be a great option for a vacation.

Let's split this into parts:
Service: terrible. Like really really terrible. We told them we needed a crib three times before arriving and reserved a room with two beds so our other child had a bed. We arrived, mentioned it again during check-in. Got to our room, only a king bed in it. Called and told them again. Then called again. And again. And again. Three hours later we found a housekeeper in the hallway, she radioed another housekeeper, then five minutes later we had both. Everytime we asked, they said "it's on the way". This type of experience happened over and over again in many different ways.
Food: it's bad. No way around it. The Japanese place on site is the only one that is ok but that's because they use soy sauce to season. We didn't get sick but I talked to people who did.
Price: it's the cost of a four star but it's a three star hotel, maybe two.
The room: we had bugs in the bathroom and the air conditioner couldn't get the room below 78 degrees. The sheets smelled damp the whole trip. And there was a period of four hours with no water in the whole resort. We didn't want to move rooms because of how hard it was to get in our room in the first place.
The view: incredible!!! Our room was next to the beach and pool and drinks. Super convenient.
The grounds: incredible!!! Kept very clean and nice.
The activities: really good for our two kids.
Overall: I'd never ever ever go back.

We spent in that hotel 10 days. Hotel was great, staff helped suitcases to the room and when checked out took them to lobby area. Hotel itself if nice, staff very friendly. We had no problems at all. Lots of sunbeds at swimming area and beach, beach was just near to swimming pool area. Food was okay, but we understand it as there are lots of tourists to feed. We preferred buffet. Also we tried other restaurants, they were nice too. Staff everywhere are just amazing. Room cleaned every day, new towels every day. Beach was clean and nice, had some rocks in the water, but not a big deal. Hotel had lots of trip out choices, so we went for 4 trips. I would definitely come back again ❤️

The stay was overall good : very nice staff (especially Erik at the breeze bar, and Joan as restaurants supervisor), good and abundant food, comfortable beds, nice beach, good tennis equipment with free light until 7pm, etc.
We also appreciated that most of the à la carte restaurants don't require reservation and that you don't need bracelet to stay in this hotel.
Let me point out some little minus that could be improved:
- the two small pools which are supposed to be hot tubs or whirlpools are neither of the two.
- only one main pool, not suitable for swimming (not a big problem with the warm and calm sea just nearby).
- only one shower near the beach, a bit too far from the sea and often congested.
- the beach bar is too often congested, could be better with one or two more employees.
- daytime animation program is not "sporty" enough : sometimes ping-pong, never tennis nor badminton. Mostly childish games.
- sunbeds in the shadow not so easy to find after 7am, there are signs saying not to reserve them but it's not enforced. Maybe some staff you warn that they remove them at a certain moment in the morning when the sunbeds are obviously unused for a while?
- last but not least : the beach should have a limited smoking zone in order to keep the non-smokers comfortable.
We would go back again if we have time among other travel plans.

The hotel is large and has a lot to offer: a beautiful beach, pools, games, attractions for children, and restaurants from around the world. Everyone will find something for themselves. I really liked the hotel app on my phone, because I could make restaurant reservations at any time and check the attractions for a given day. A note to all spa lovers: you can't miss it. These are top-notch services. I had the full Rainforest package: hot stone massage, sauna, and jacuzzi. I'd like to thank Elba, who gave me the best massage ever.I will never forget that feeling.

I was very cautious and worried after reading all the bad reviews but overall had a good experience with the hotel. The location is gorgeous.
Food: Better than I expected. I’m not picky and my expectations were low. There was always something new to try at the buffet, including freshly grilled fish, beef, and shrimp. Lots of fruits, pizza, pasta, etc.
Rooms: I can’t speak for all rooms, but I stayed in Building 16. Which is next to a busy sidewalk that leads to the buffet, with deliveries going back and forth throughout the day and night. If noise is a concern for you, it’s better to request a room in the middle of the resort or on the opposite side of the buffet. The room itself felt a bit run-down and had a musty, slightly mouldy smell. On the positive side, the bed was firm and very comfortable.
Beach: The beach is really nice but quite short and gets busy. Water is beautiful but the clarity of course depends from the weather conditions. There are some rocks in the water but nothing major. The downside is the lack of shade - beach beds in shaded areas go extremely fast. If you want one, you need to be there around 7am or earlier.
Sun Club: First of all, they don’t give you any bracelet at the hotel. If you’re staying in the Sun Club section, you have to give your room number every time you order at bars, get a towel, go to the restaurant. Even beach manager/security ask for the room card to confirm you’re in the right area. It’s not a huge problem, but it gets a bit annoying and could be easily eliminated by providing bracelets.

If you’re from an English-speaking country, this may not be the resort for you. English is almost never spoken here, and it makes even the most basic interactions extremely difficult.
The outside grounds are nice and well-maintained. The spa is genuinely impressive—one of the only highlights. The spa staff were amazing, the pools were okay, and the slides were fun with no lines. Drinks were mediocre but not undrinkable.
That’s sadly where the positives end.
The rooms are rundown, the AC barely works, and housekeeping repeatedly entered without knocking—even when we were undressed.
Health-wise, this was the worst vacation I’ve ever had. I was bitten by a spider in the room which caused a massive infected welt on my arm. Both my girlfriend and I got food poisoning more than once, despite being extremely cautious—no tap water, no ice, only bottled water, even brushing with bottled water. The food itself is awful; even the simplest dishes taste off, and honestly, expect to get sick.
The beach water gave both of us severe rashes, and there are sand mites. I’ve been on hundreds of vacations and have never gotten this sick.
The guests at this resort were another major issue. Many had zero respect or manners—stealing beach chairs, cutting in lines at bars, buffets, and slides, refusing to move out of the way on sidewalks, and even walking right into you without acknowledging it. As a 23-year-old guy, I found myself nearly in fights multiple times because of how aggressive people were. Security was regularly stepping in to break up situations.
Most staff were generally nice, but a few made the experience uncomfortable. The sports staff were overly aggressive when joining guests in games—especially basketball—pushing, shoving, and even taunting people who were just trying to casually play in sandals. A bellman flat-out told my girlfriend and me to go get him two coffees while we were waiting for the airport shuttle, which left us shocked. There were also creepy moments: staff dancing with much younger teenagers, and staff hitting on my girlfriend while I was right there.
If you’re booking through Air Canada Vacations, prepare for more frustration. Our assigned rep was unreachable most of the trip, admitted to being hungover, and at one point it genuinely seemed like we might have to arrange our own transportation home.
Overall, this was a terrible experience, even though we tried to stay positive. Please take this review seriously—I strongly recommend not booking this resort. If you do, good luck. We absolutely hated it.

We arrived from London on an evening flight. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a huge queue at check-in and had to wait around 35–50 minutes. When it was finally our turn the staff barely spoke English and during check-in they tried to pressure us into upgrading to a “premium” service for $500 claiming our room would be very far from everything. We refused — and rightly so — as without the upgrade everything was only about a 2minute walk away including the beach and restaurants. When we entered the room there was a strong damp moldy smell. We found a bug inside the wardrobe and the ceiling showed clear signs of water damage. In the bathroom after showering water flooded the entire floor reaching ankle level. We reported this but were told that this is “normal” here. Above the toilet there was a plastic ventilation cover from which water dripped every single day from the room above which was extremely unpleasant especially when using the toilet. The bed linen smelled very bad every day even though it was changed regularly — the only positive thing was that the bed itself was comfortable. The balcony and the view were fine. To go to the beach you had to exchange towels but on some days there were no towels available and we had to wait until other guests returned theirs. The beach itself was fairly maintained but extremely overcrowded with people lying almost on top of each other. The sea water was very dirty making it difficult to enjoy swimming. In the restaurants the food quality was generally acceptable but far from appetizing,
as many dishes were covered with flies.
The Dominican Republic is beautiful and we really enjoyed the country but if we ever return we will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Our stay at the Impressive Premium Resort & Spa was truly memorable and made our honeymoon extra special! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and eager to help — even those who spoke less English went out of their way to assist us with directions and anything we needed.
We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful beach-facing room. The variety of food options and daily activities was excellent, and the shows each night were definitely worth both the time and money. The drinks at the Premium Beach were fantastic, and the bartenders were amazing with a bit of swagger to their service which added personality.
Special recognition to the kitchen, service, and housekeeping teams — you can tell they take real pride in their work. A very special thank-you to our butler, Jose Tema, who checked in with us daily to ensure we were enjoying our honeymoon and continuously offered ways to make it even better. Jose and the team went above and beyond by decorating our room and turning it into a truly special occasion. That kind of world-class service is something we’ll never forget.
We’d also like to mention Luis Vega, our destination service representative, who clearly explained the transportation process to ensure we didn't miss our flight and gave us great advice to make the most of our trip.
While the resort was undergoing some construction during our stay, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s an amazing place to visit, and we loved all the different restaurant options that they had, enough for us to try a different style of restaurant each night. I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Jose as your butler!. An amazingly friendly guy who was very humble to his core.

Impressive is not a bad resort , what made it so horrible for me it was my encounter with upfront customer service. I would hoped they do at some point improves on that dept . What made it special the rest of the trip ,to us it was the people that work within for impressive that we met along the way . First Rainer ( maletero) from picking us up to bring us to our room made the bad experience from front desk so much better for us . A few amazing staff members from the Buffet, Esperanza, Martha, the juice bar lady and some of the cook line folks -Thank You for treating us like family ! Great entertaining group ! Thx for spaghetti for taking the time to get to know you better . Keep up that spirit . Beautiful Beach view , and it was clean the whole time we were there !

This hotel felt like paradise. The surroundings were breathtaking, with wild animals freely walking around, amazing nature, and delicious food. It truly felt like a fairytale.
But what impressed us the most were the animators. They are absolutely priceless. The hotel should raise their salaries and protect such staff, because they take the whole experience to another level. Thanks to them, we felt not just like guests, but truly special.
There was so much laughter, fun, games, and entertainment. It didn’t feel like staying in a hotel — it felt like being at a big family celebration. The joy and laughter followed us throughout our entire stay, all thanks to these incredible animators.
We will never forget this experience.

The resort was very nice and animated. The food was very good but you have to book for the specific restaurants on the day you get there. All the restaurants are delicious and varied; and the portions are decently big. The buffet which does not require reservations is quite diversified and very good. The rooms are clean and spacious and cleaned up everyday. The beach is very nice and a lot of sunchairs are available. There is enough shade if needed. The pools are a bit chill but no complaints. The bars are great and free.
Finally, the animation is great, although it is not a resort you would go to party every night. The spanish class with Francesco and Eunice. The pool party as well as the balloon party were very enjoyable.
As a whole, if you want to relax but also want a fair bit of animation, this is the right place to go 😁!

I love this hotel. I had been to bávaro princess and caribe deluxe did not disappoint. Rooms on point, service great and activities always keep you entertained. Flabio hosted disco night and it was incredible. We won the couples dance competition and were gifted an amazing basket and gold medals. Will never forget this experience!

Had a great stay! The restaurants were delicious, everything seasoned perfectly. The buffet was medicore, not much variety day to day. We enjoyed our room, our housekeeper was great. The resort makes you feel at home. All the staff are friendly and hospitality is perfect. The beach is beautiful long stretch. Wifi needs some work, very spotty and constantly having to resign in. The entertainment crew was amazing. Upbeat, fun and had a game for everyone. Flavio and Leonardo or Lorenzio was their names. Very kind from the entertainment crew and made us feel welcome and appreciated when participating in activities. Will definitely visit this relaxing resort, (not for those looking for a party) very chill vibe. Thank you for everything.

We stayed at Punta Cana Princess for a week. While the resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful, our overall experience was disappointing.
Unfortunately, the food quality did not meet our expectations. The buffet selection was very similar across all restaurants (including the sister resort), and we found it difficult to find fresh and enjoyable meals. The quality of meat and fish was especially disappointing, so I mostly ate salads and fruit during our stay. Fruit was good, desserts were okay, but overall food quality could be improved.
We also visited several à la carte restaurants: Mexican (Steakhouse), Italian, Mediterranean, and Swiss Fondue. The Swiss fondue was the best option for us, although portions were small and side dishes were limited. The other restaurants, however, did not stand out in terms of food quality.
Additionally, my husband experienced stomach issues during our stay, so we would recommend guests to be cautious with food and drinks, especially beverages with ice.
Another thing worth mentioning is the room design. The bathroom and shower have glass doors, which look modern but offer very little privacy. Even for a couple, this can feel uncomfortable.
Overall, the resort has a beautiful atmosphere and great staff, but food quality and room privacy are areas that definitely need improvement. We hope this feedback helps management enhance the guest experience in the future.

loved it! we could access 2 resorts next to it also. Food was great with lots of choice ! The staff were soooo nice! Special note on Luis . He was super sweet! Found us looking for our room and brought us to it. Always had a table ready for us at the supper buffet. Gave me a pretty beaded purse as a gift . Super sweet man! There was also a girl at the breakfast buffet that took extra care and hod our coffees ready, table ready . Very sweet girl! We will miss them both!

Overall experience at Punta Cana Princess was delightful. The staff was attentive and outstanding. They made us feel right at home. The beach area was beautiful and relaxing and the pool area was fun and filled with activities. We enjoyed the best of both of those daily. The staff worked hard to make New Year’s Eve special despite the weather. The buffet was a showstopper and the party in the lobby was a good time! The rooms are the only drawback to the resort. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping them clean but they are in need of an update, especially the bathroom. Hopefully there are plans of that in the near future. This was our first trip to Punta Cana and the Princess, but it won’t be our last.

Tropical Deluxe Princess
We stayed here as a family of four and unfortunately did not have a good experience.
The grounds were well-kept and the pools were enjoyable, which were the only real positives for us.
Our first room was unacceptable. It was infested with ants and other bugs, there was other people’s hair and belongings in the bed, dirt and sand on the floor, and hair and dirt inside the drawers. You could wipe the furniture and dust would come off on your hand. We requested to be moved but were not relocated the first night.
When we were moved the next day, it was clear the room had only been surface-cleaned. There was still a smell, and dirt and hair were visible in cracks and corners. We later found a cockroach, and the solution was simply to spray the room.
On top of this, during our stay we were approached to attend a timeshare presentation, which felt very off-putting given the issues we were already dealing with.
This is the first vacation where we genuinely wanted to leave early. For the price and expectations of an all-inclusive resort, cleanliness and guest comfort should be non-negotiable. Sadly, this was not our experience, and we would not return.

We just got back from a week at this resort! The grounds are very lovely and lots of spots to check out as the resort is quite large. Lots of activities and plenty of food options at each buffet, the Italian a la carte was by far the best one we tried!! The things that I would love to see change would be the beach towel service, there are 3 pools and the towel service is only provided at one. Every other time we went to get new towels for the day we were told they didn’t have any and would have to check back later. It was quite frustrating. The other issue was that ALL the pool chairs and beach chairs were taken by 8:30 am every day, there were some chairs taken that I didn’t see any person use once, I wish this was monitored so that people actually wanting to use chairs had access to them. Also there should be signs around the kid pool that the chairs are reserved for families, I don’t understand why older people without kids were over there taking up the space when that’s where families will be swimming. They were smoking and butting out their cigarettes on the ground which should absolutely NOT be done on the side where children would be. Other than that everything else was great, the staff were all amazing and the entertainment team does an outstanding job! Would recommend this resort for sure.

We recently stayed at this resort and overall had a lovely experience. The property is very clean, nicely renovated, and family-friendly, making it a great choice for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated.
There are, however, a few areas that could be improved:
The AC in the rooms needs an upgrade. We had to change rooms three times, and each one had issues with humidity and poor cooling.
The food could be better, especially by offering more kid-friendly options such as chicken strips, French fries, fried shrimp, and fried calamari. The seafood selection was also below expectations.
I noticed many reviews mention friendly staff, and while everyone we met was polite and helpful, the overall warmth and enthusiasm felt a bit missing — a few more smiles would make guests feel even more welcome.
We had some difficulty communicating in English, as around 80% of the staff we interacted with did not speak it well. However, this wasn’t a big issue for us — everyone tried their best to assist, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean, and family-oriented resort with a lot of potential. With small improvements in comfort, food variety, and communication, it could easily become a perfect five-star destination!

Amazing trip with family of 4. Food was amazing at buffet and restaurants. Staff was kind always helpful. Lots to do for every age group. Very impressed with entertainment staff. Playing cards during a rainy afternoon with Francisco was a highlight of our trip. The entire entertainment staff was in the lobby playing games with family and kids, making sure everyone still had a great time during the storm. Thank you Francisco and team for making our trip so enjoyable.
Negatives: too many people trying to sell us stuff. “Club Concierge” people were pushy and didn’t like taking “not interested” as an answer.

I highly recommend getting a day pass to Grand Palladium Palace Resort ($90). From the moment you drive past the gate, you truly feel like you’re in a resort and very safe. The staff and service were incredible. Everything is conveniently set up so you’re not doing much walking from getting your towel, to going to the pool, to getting your food and going to the beach. The food was very fresh and tasteful unlike other resorts. The drinks were amazing with a great selection of mocktails too. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there even though it went by too fast! I would recommend getting there early to get a seat by the pool because it does get packed quickly.

Ohhh where to start….
1. Rooms are terrible. Bathroom wall is TRANSPARENT. So everyone in the room can see you in the shower. Bed sheets smell of dump. Shower was built to create a flooding.
2. Attitude. The first three days we (two girls) were invisible. The bar staff ignored, not smiled to us and simply didn’t acknowledge our existence. Some American man had to tell the bar staff to treat me nice and take my order and since then they started being better to us. Don’t know what it was…
3. Only 4 restaurants available. Italian restaurant scared us as the tables were severely scratched and by the look of it we decided not to eat anything and left to the buffet.
4. Same lunch every single day. Our buffet was okay, but same options for 10 days and as someone who tried to eat healthy it was very hard to find exciting things. I ended up getting breakfast plates to the pool and eat it for lunch.
5. Entertainment is okay. There will be no information you can find, you have to somehow find out yourself where and what’s happening in the evening. We had to walk around some days for 20 min from one hotel to another trying to find some fun. There was an adult bar and I think in all 10 days only ones there was live music and a Dj.
6. Seaweed was bad but I don’t know how it’s possible to clean it all as the water was extremely dirty with seaweed. I added up not swimming for most of my days there Bcs it was impossible to be in the water.
7. I had upset stomach the whole time I was there.
I think the privacy for me and the attitude of the staff was the biggest shock and as much as I always have fun at places I go, I think I would be careful recommending the hotel.

Stayed there 1 week as a family of 4 beginning of January.
We had a lovely stay at Grand Palladium Punta Cana. It’s a very spacious resort, so be prepared to do some walking, but the layout is beautiful.
Dining Highlights:
* El Dorado: The best service of our trip! Jhonathan was incredible at anticipating our needs, and the steak with pepper sauce was seasoned to perfection.
* Adelita: An Instagrammable spot with amazing Chicken Mole and Churros.
* Bamboo: Beautifully renovated, though the food was a bit salty and service was slow.(albeit they had just reopened)
* Buffet: A consistently good selection of options every day.
Drinks & Service:
The lobby bar is the place to be—Letitia provides the absolute best bar service on the property! The fresh passionfruit mojitos are a must-try, though remember to specifically ask for top-shelf liquor.
The Room:
Our room was spacious and very clean. However, the interiors are starting to feel like they need an update, and I personally wasn't a fan of the glass doors for the toilet—it lacks a bit of privacy.
Beach & Atmosphere:
The beach is beautiful, but it’s popular; you’ll need to arrive early to snag a chair. Overall, this is a very quiet resort. I’d highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this resort. The food was incredible, the accommodations were beautiful, and the white-sand beaches were truly breathtaking. We loved the peaceful, quiet vibe of the resort, while still having the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. Everything felt thoughtfully done and effortless.
A very special mention goes to Luis, the bellman, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home and so well taken care of. We are deeply grateful for his exceptional service.
The beach bar staff were also amazing—friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. They truly added to our beach days and made every moment feel easy and enjoyable.

This is a great place to stay and great family environment. The room is a bit dated, aside from that this place is really wonderful. We spent our entire time at the pools or at the beach and they are both fantastic. Facility is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Be aware, if you accept the invitation for the tour and membership sales pitch, it can take quite a bit of time, and will be a sales pitch for a membership, after all. Just say "no thank you" right up front if this isn't something you are interested in.

We had a very nice stay at Bávaro Princess Resort. The family section was great for a family of four. Our room was spacious with a king bed, bunk beds, and a trundle bed if needed. The bathroom was a bit small, but not a major issue. A big plus was the kids’ waterpark and the family restaurant, which was much less crowded at breakfast.
The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and we loved that it feels like both a resort and a nature preserve. The kids enjoyed seeing the tropical birds around the property.
The beach was excellent, white sand and turquoise water, especially on sunny/calm days. It truly lived up to the photos, which isn’t always the case.
Food was typical for an all-inclusive. Breakfast was fine, lunch was decent (although the hamburgers were bad), and dinner was very good; especially the steakhouse and Italian restaurant. Alcohol quality was lower than I prefer and caused headaches, so something to keep in mind. Classico (name brand)
The evening entertainment, ice cream, and trains around the resort were a hit with the kids.
Their staff were semi polite to the guests, however our waitress Elena each morning at the family breakfast restaurant was lovely!
Overall, while it wouldn’t be my first choice, if the price is right, we would consider staying here again!

First time here, the beach and water is amazing. The buffets so far are better than the restaurants you book. You really don't need to fight for a lounge chair unless you arrive after 10am. The staff are friendly and the grounds is kept well.

Overall, Grand Bavaro Princess is a very good hotel. The property is well maintained, the staff is friendly, responsive, and always willing to help. The cuisine is tasty and leans toward European standards, which was a pleasant surprise.
The only downside was the hotel’s policy regarding towel replacement — or rather, the lack of a clear one. Every morning used towels were taken away, but clean ones were not automatically provided. As a result, we had to call the reception almost every evening to ask for fresh towels, which became a bit frustrating over time.
Initially, I planned to leave 4 stars, but I ultimately gave 5 stars thanks to Jose Luis R., who works as a bartender at the beach restaurant. His cocktails are truly exceptional — perfectly balanced, prepared with proper technique, and made with genuine passion and professionalism. After experiencing such dedication and love for his craft, I simply couldn’t rate the hotel lower.
I would strongly encourage management to truly value this employee, as he is one of your hotel’s best ambassadors and someone who genuinely enhances your reputation.
I highly recommend all guests to order cocktails and drinks specifically from Jose Luis R. at the beach restaurant near the children’s playground — you won’t be disappointed.

I recently stayed at the Grand Bavaro Princess Hotel in Punta Cana. The hotel itself is pleasant and the rooms are nice and comfortable, providing a good base for a relaxing stay.
However, I was disappointed with the level of service. A large portion of the staff speaks only Spanish, and very few are able to communicate in English, which made simple requests difficult for non-Spanish speaking guests.
The housekeeping service was below expectations. While the beds were changed, towels were not consistently replaced daily. In fact, I often had to actively remind the cleaning staff multiple times throughout the day to change the towels. This lack of attention to basic housekeeping details was frustrating.
The food quality was good, but the selection was repetitive. The same dishes were served every day with very little variety, which became boring during a longer stay.
After rainfall, a large amount of seaweed accumulated on the beach. It remained there for days and was not cleaned by the hotel staff, which negatively affected the beach experience.
Overall, the hotel facilities and rooms are good, but the quality of service and attention to guest needs needs significant improvement.

Stayed here July 29-Aug 4. Celebrated my 45th Birthday with friends, (also my best friends birthday as well) when you get off the plane of course you have to go through customs, that was an experience. So we had transportation pick up. Before you walk to the van, your approached to purchase excursions right away and are told it's cheaper buy at the airport, than at the resort. That was very annoying and put a damper on the vacation strike 1. Very pushy people. I get that your country is dependent on tourism but wow. So then finally heading to the resort. The ride was very long. Arrival at the resort of course the rooms aren't ready but they tried to accommodate us as best as possible. We were told that our rooms were ready, got our bracelets (which is the room key so don't lose it) and we boarded the trolley and was on our way. My friends shared a room and I had my own room (booked at separate times). Finally got to our rooms I think my room was 3622 (very close to the pools and beach). I do like how they had like 2 rooms to a floor. However my room was not ready, it was still disheveled from the previous guests it was horrible (I took videos of course). I called the main lobby to have the cleaning expedited because I was told that my room was ready but of course they move to the beat of there own drum at this resort. (Strike 2). My TV didn't work the whole time I was there. I didn't like how pushy they were to try to get you to buy time shares and I'm here on vacation celebrating my Birthday and this is what you do? So as far as the food is concerned everything was disgusting at the Buffet, I wanted authentic Dominican food, I wanted that experience but instead we got American food which usually look picked over and old. The food trucks by the beach weren't great at all and you need to tell then to cook your food well done if your not a rare/ medium rare person (Not sure of the meat they use either). Make sure you drink bottled water only!! Many of the restaurants do not open early. The coffee place (forgot the name) maybe the Frappuccino coffee, which had good pastries (I think it opens at 10) so if you are a early riser like me and looking for coffee just be patient. And the coffee sizes are not our typical sizes 12, 16, 20 oz lol they are cup and saucer type deal lol. Make sure you set your dinner reservations in the app early because they fill up quickly. We set a reservation for a restaurant on the app which was actually closed during our stay Wasabi, but the gentle man did everything to accommodate us and booked reservations at the Hibachi restaurant next door, which the food was good I think we ate there twice. Hands down the best restaurants were Samsara which serves Indian Cuisine, and Foccaccia to me seems like an Italian pizzeria with a great menu. Drinks (resortwide) were Meh, definitely could have been better. We finally discovered the good breakfast buffet which was at El Gaucho, and also which is a steak house in the evening. The entertainment was just ok. Every dance they did seemed like something out of an old workout video, but people loved it lol. I guess my expectations for a great experience was set a little too high. We did an Excursion to Santo Domingo which was very nice. Lots of activities and finally experienced authentic cuisine.
***Just a note the resort does burn incense and regular smoking allowed publicly as well and if your not used to that (like me) you will feel sick. I was so nauseous. Make sure you pack good meds.

The hotel is a bit older-looking, especially in the rooms, and the beds weren’t the softest—but they were still comfortable overall. This is definitely more of a family-oriented resort, and I visited as a couple. That said, we still had a great time because there was an adults-only bar open until 2 a.m., which we really enjoyed. The food was honestly the best I’ve had out of the three resorts I’ve stayed at. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with fresh donuts, breads, made-to-order omelets, and plenty of other options to choose from. The food at the restaurants was consistently good as well. We stayed during New Year’s, and they offered a four-course meal that was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious.
One thing I really appreciated is that the resort doesn’t use wristbands or require reservations, so you don’t feel rushed or stuck eating at only one place at a time. The only downside was that the liquor felt watered down, and it took quite a few drinks to feel a buzz.
Overall, the service was great, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. The location is about 40-45 mins away from the airport. The water is beautiful but it's on the side of ocean that's not light blue it's darker

We had a amazing stay at Wyndham Altra Punta Cana. The resort is clean, well maintained, and has a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall layout of the property is well done.
The staff throughout the resort was friendly and polite. In most of the theme restaurants, the service was warm and welcoming, but unfortunately very slow. Waiting times for ordering and food were quite long, even when the restaurants were not very busy, which took away from the dining experience.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable at the resort. With faster and more efficient service in the restaurants, this would be an even better experience.

However, unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. Although the hotel looks clean at first glance, it is only apparently clean. In reality, many areas feel quite dirty and poorly maintained.
The food quality is extremely poor. While the meals may look abundant and well-presented, the actual quality of the food is very low and far below what one would expect from a hotel with such ratings.
The rooms have a very strong mold and damp smell, to the point where it is difficult to sleep comfortably. This is not just unpleasant but also concerning. In addition, there are many construction and maintenance issues throughout the hotel that show a lack of proper upkeep.
What surprised me the most is that, compared to other hotels in the area, this hotel has a relatively good rating on Booking. This makes me wonder whether the surrounding hotels might be even worse, because based on my experience, this rating does not reflect the true condition of the property.
The hotel is located right on the beachfront in Bavaro, which is definitely a strong point. The beach area is nice and the pool is very large, which at first gives a positive impression.
Overall, while the location and pool are good, the cleanliness, food quality, room conditions, and maintenance issues significantly reduce the value of the stay.

We had a wonderful stay. From my perspective everything was as advertised. I think to get 5 stars the nightly entertainment could be elevated (although the Michael Jackson cover was exceptionally good) and sound system updated - uncomfortably loud for me, but maybe not others. The rooms are standard hotel rooms...nothing fancy, but very clean, comfortable, with a mini fridge stocked daily. We very much enjoyed the amenities, staff, pool, water park, and beach. Would happily return to the property...the benefits at the property met or exceeded my expectations for an all inclusive at this price point.

This place is the top of Domenican Republic resort.
We stayed in a villa with 12 people and it was amazing. We had a pool and own golf carts to drive around on the resort.
All inclusive with a lot of choices of restaurants. Beach, Marina, restaurants, golf and golf.
We played 3 of their local courses and they were all so good. We also tried their night golf.
Can't do wrong with this resort.

What a dream vacation! If anything the service was too good! Gorgeous resort, food was excellent at the several restaurants we tried. Spa was great. Pricey for the D. R. But this place is upscale. Each room gets its own golf cart to use around the large resort. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I have recently returned from a week's all inclusive holiday and it was my husband's birthday while we were there. The staff made us feel so special especially on his birthday.
The resort was absolutely stunning and there were so many different amazing restaurants to choose from as part of the all inclusive deal, and the food in every single one was absolutely delicious.
Our room was beautiful and kept immaculate by the hotel staff.
We have been to all inclusive resorts before, but this is in a different league! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Set along some of the most beautiful land in the Dominican Republic, Casa de Campo offers visitors almost everything you’d want in a vacation including a gorgeous beach, golf, horseback riding, water sports, shopping and a plenty of bars and restaurants. However, the resort is massive and overall, the staff is completely outmanned by the sheer volume of guests. In addition, the staff is clearly not trained equally in hospitality and so you’ll experience many lows in customer service with occasional highs which for a resort at this price point is not acceptable. The accommodations vary but are on the whole quite lovely. The property is huge so while most rent golf carts, my advice would be to rent a car for your stay as it takes a while to get to most parts of the property on a cart that maxes out at 15mph. Food quality is good not great with high notes being Cafe Marietta, SBG and Shibuya with honorable mention going to La Casita. Don’t show up more than 15 minutes late or they’ll give away your table. Finally, if you don’t speak Spanish, this is probably not the place for you as most of the staff outside of the main hotel and a few restaurants are not fluent in other languages. You can get by but be prepared for a harder road so to speak. Overall, a disappointing experience when compared to the cost and would not recommend to anyone that enjoys more boutique luxury experiences.

We went to Dreams Onyx Punta Cana with our toddler and baby and it honestly was an amazing experience. Everyone was so kind, there was so much for everyone to do and enjoy (both kids and adults). We have dietary restrictions as we only eat Halal and Santo the food concierge was SO accommodating and helpful. I truly cannot recommend him enough. He made sure to take care of us the entirety of our trip and served us with halal food for every meal and at every restaurant on the resort. It was honestly perfect and better than what we could’ve imagined. Our daughter also has an egg allergy so he assisted us with that as well. It’s a must visit spot- especially if you have any dietary restrictions as they really really take care of you! Thank you to Santo for really making this the best experience for us!

Our group of 16 (ages 8-77) had an incredible time!! Our rooms (building 7) were fantastic and always cleaned well. Kids loved the waterpark and beach, and adults loved the preferred adult pool. Food is average - crepes and omelettes at breakfast were the best part of the buffet, and we all loved the French restaurant! Vast majority of the staff were fun and friendly, and our butler Starling was outstanding. We absolutely loved our stay!

I was at Dreams for my 26th birthday and they made me feel at home. Our experience at the hotel was excellent from start to finish. The facilities are beautiful, clean and very well maintained, the food varied and delicious, and the perfect atmosphere to relax and have fun.
But without a doubt, the best of our entire stay was the entertainment department, especially Vero. His energy, charisma and professionalism made the difference. Always kind, attentive and with a contagious attitude, she managed to make every activity fun and special. It shows when someone loves what they do, and Vero shows it at every moment.

Very well maintained and beautiful truly luxury resort. We had private swim up rooms and it was very convenient with a newborn. Beach was nice and clean with real palm trees for shades but wasn't able to swim much, it was too wavy. Incresible service and ridiculous variety for food. The sit down restaurants were nice however food flavours were average only. Drink mixes were good. Great experience would visit again. Albert was our butler and he made the experience tenfolds better. Thank you.

We had an amazing stay at Breathless Punta Cana!
The service was truly exceptional — there were always plenty of staff around, and everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful.
The property is extremely clean and very well maintained, which really stood out throughout our stay. The landscaping alone is lush and beautiful, creating such a relaxing and tropical atmosphere. We loved that the resort, offers a great balance — adults-only areas for relaxation, while still being family-friendly with a lazy river and fun water slides.
The entertainment was enjoyable and added to the overall experience. We would highly recommend Breathless Punta Cana and would absolutely return again!

The quality of this resort for the cost is 10/10. We accidentally ended up here after being stuck in a winter storm and having to extend our trip 3 days. We were really unhappy at Royalton Chic next door (Staff was rude, stuff was breaking, and food was bad) so we randomly moved resorts. BEST decision we made on the trip. The staff was incredibly nice, respectful, and funny. Even at the buffet lunch they went out of their way to bring extra drinks and carry our food. The resort was spotless clean and they thought of all the little extras - umbrella in the room, extra toiletries waiting, etc. The food was fantastic, we suggest the steak at the French restaurant and hibachi was tasty. Even the sea salt steak at the lunch buffet was great. There were a lot of staff to bring you drinks on the beach and they do a good job clearing the seaweed from the sand. There is a really good coffee cafe. Beds were comfortable. One of the pools played more dance music and one was more calm country music. There were places to relax but also lots of people ready to party. You can go next door to the lazy river (with swim up bar) and water slides at the Dreams. Even as adults we had fun over there. We normally book a luxury room but there were no xhale rooms left so we booked the normal room. Other than missing better brand liquors we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. The xhale pools were small and looked boring. We have been to a ton of resorts so I have a lot to compare to and I literally can't think of anything I didn't like about this resort.

Absolutely must go! Amazing stuff, food is good, only if you are into a quiet it may be not for you. There is a loud music at the main pouring the day and a lot of pool activities. So if you into that this resort is perfect. That being said, we had our room at the very end of the hotel by the beach, so loud music didn’t bother us. If you can upgrade your room to a club level, definitely worth it. It gives you better check in and check out and more restaurant options. Shout out to front dest Wonder, our butler Joel and our waitress Yelitza! Those guys are the best!

I had such a great times in Breathless with my friends. The hotel is very clean and the room were spacious and comfortable nice bed. Great mix of entraînement but also quiet spots if that's your vib. The food options were good and available all day.
The staff in the various locations were friendly, respectful and kind which made our stay more enjoyable.

We stayed at the resort for 7 days and our experience was fantastic. The resort is very well maintained, and the highlight for us was the excellent service and the super friendly, polite staff. The food was amazing, especially the buffet. Buffets at resorts are usually not that great, but this one truly surprised us with a wide variety of options and everything was delicious.
Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Our room was spacious and spotless. The pools were great, and the entertainment was enjoyable as well. I also used the spa and the massage was fantastic. We had access to the neighboring resort too, and the water park there was a lot of fun.
We were a group of 8 and absolutely loved the experience. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing trip, made even better by the friendly and incredibly helpful staff throughout the resort. Several team members truly went above and beyond and made our stay unforgettable.
- Joel at the buffet grill went out of his way to make sure I had an enjoyable and delicious meal.
- Ramona, our server at Aqua Nick, was always attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
- Zeleika (hope I’m spelling that right!), the main pool server, kept the drinks flowing nonstop — always with a smile.
- Rosanna at the sweetery made sure we never ran out of treats and kept our sugar levels happily topped up.
Lastly, a very special thank you to the person who made my stay the most memorable — Francisco, the chef at Fresco. I ran into him daily during my morning walks, always smiling as early as 7:30 a.m. while making sure everything was perfectly prepped for the lunch rush. The shrimp ceviche is an absolute must-try, and he made sure my family and I were always well taken care of.
This resort truly shines because of its people. Thank you all for an unforgettable experience!

A very cozy and calm place with a nice and beautiful beach ⛱️ to enjoy. With my experience with Club Med, I would prefer Club Med since you have different interesting activities during the day, but if you are looking for a place to spend time with kids this one is very good. It's a bit far from the airport so if you are with kids, it's worth renting a private van.
The gym is decent but like other resorts in Punta Cana, it is not a brand new hotel. For the price you pay, you might have better options!
There is no adults only pool in this resort.

We arrived on Thursday at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana expecting a comfortable, family-friendly vacation. Instead, we are spending our stay feeling like we are camping inside a supposed 5-star hotel.
Our reservation is for five (5) guests, yet the room provided has one king bed and one pull-out sofa only. There is no cot and no third sleeping surface.
This has resulted in three people sleeping in one bed, including a 13-year-old who is taller than me. It is cramped, uncomfortable, and completely inappropriate for a resort that promotes itself as premium and family-oriented.
We did not come to Punta Cana to stack children in beds, move pillows around nightly, and improvise sleeping arrangements. This situation has genuinely ruined the quality of our vacation, leaving us exhausted and frustrated instead of relaxed.
We immediately asked for a reasonable upgrade to a room designed to accommodate five guests. The only option presented was a villa at approximately $1,000 per night, which is not a reasonable solution to correct a booking issue.
We booked and paid for accommodations suitable for our family size. What we received feels like budget camping conditions inside a luxury-branded resort. We are still waiting for management to resolve this properly and will update this review if, and when, a suitable solution is provided.

My family had a great time. 3 boys 6 yr, 4 yr, 22 months. It was put first visit and all excellent as expected. We enjoyed the entertainment team, especially by the pool including Junior. The service was great, always polite, friendly and hustling. Helpful when we had questions. Loved the water park, especially the lazy river that we spent hours in. Don't miss the bigger water slides hidden behind the main water park.
The restaurants were also great. Buffet was the only place I didn't love for dinner, but it was good for breakfast. Lunch was almost always the water park eatery that was consistently good, if a more basic menu.
Happy with the choice we made to visit and could see us returning.

My wife and I stayed at Dreams Macao the first week of February and despite a little bit of rain the weather was fantastic. The waves on the beach were too rough for swimming, but I feel they enhanced the quality of the scenery. It truly is a beautiful beach. The pool with the swim-up bar and the lazy river was where we spent most of our time. Both areas can get busy, but if you choose your spot early, say after breakfast, you are sure to have a good time. The best part about our stay was the friendly, efficient, and quality service provided by all of the staff at the resort. The dancers and entertainment team do an amazing job of bringing the fun. The bar and waitstaff were all attentive and prompt. Kenny, Cookie, Cristy, Babyface, and many others made us feel welcome and want to visit again. Would recommend.

Recently stayed at Dreams Macao Beach for a week stay with 9 family members. The overall trip was fantastic. The facilities were clean, modern and comfortable. The resort was large enough to feel grand, yet not too overwhelming in size. Meal options were better than expected. Our favorite part of the trip was the staff. So many key staff truly made this a memorable experience, especially for our 11 year old daughter.
Victor, Baby Face and especially Diana (from the entertainment team) took to my daughter with a level of genuine care and excitement. These three really made the trip special for her!
Another shout out to Omar, our butler. He took exceptional care of us too. Overall, the staff throughout the resort were incredible.
The only bummer (for those who haven't visited the resort) is that the ocean was a bit rough which seems to be the reason why on-site water sports weren't an option. We did miss the ability for kayaking, pedal boats, snorkeling, and paddle boarding that we do enough at other resorts. The pools were great, but we didn't get much ocean time in.

This is the first all inclusive holiday I’ve been on ( and I’ve been on many) That after 2 weeks I didn’t want to leave! This place is amazing and sure did cater to all. The grounds were kept perfect… it’s beautiful…the staff are all so friendly with amazing attitudes. There’s one person that made mine and my partners stay extra special and that was an amazing soul from the entertainment team.. his name is VICTOR! His energy is amazing. You would hear him and not see him. They all work so hard but his energy really did stand out and he honestly deserves a promotion within that team. Not one time did I see him without a smile on his face! Me and my partner really do miss him!

Absolutely amazing! The service and staff was amazing and treated you like gold. I would recommend for anyone who wants to come here! The food was very good and the beach was one of the best beaches I have ever been too. And if you come here during the new year your going to have an absolute blast! Also volleyball is amazing even if you don’t know how to play well. All the activities are fun and great for kids and teens. The resort also has events for all ages (including adults) at 9:15 pm. 5 stars out of 5 stars!!!

It was ok for an all inclusive resort. But it was lacking in things to do for adults after dinner, except for a beach party they held one night. Food was decent but not wow. The waves were great. There were too many locals on the property trying to sell junk and scam tourists out of money. It was surprising to see that. I don't have to go back.

Amazing stay made unforgettable by Coca Cola!
We stayed at Dreams Cap Cana and had such a great time overall. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — stunning pools, warm sunshine, and a gorgeous property that makes it easy to relax and unwind.
What truly made our experience 10 times more fun, though, was Coca Cola from the entertainment team. He was incredible. He brought so much energy and personality to the resort and had a real talent for getting people involved without being pushy. He started games like cornhole and other activities that got our group up from relaxing and actually having fun together — laughing, competing, and making memories. He completely changed the vibe of our days in the best way possible and is a HUGE asset to the resort.
The only downside of our stay was the food — it wasn’t the highlight for us — but honestly, we didn’t come for gourmet meals. We came for warm weather, beautiful pools, great energy, and a good time, and Dreams Cap Cana absolutely delivered on that. Another draw back would be there is no ocean access, or it is not possible to get in the ocean due to the seaweed.
If you’re looking for a stunning resort with amazing entertainment and staff who truly care about guests having fun, this is the place — and Coca Cola deserves all the recognition!

Stayed at the Dreams Cap Cana for business. This Resort used to be a Margarita Resort before converting over. The vibe is very relaxed and tropical. It is easy to navigate around resort. This is a kid friendly/family resort, but doesn’t seem to have amenities that I e seen at other resorts for kids. The live entertainment at the Palms bar was great! The rooms are spacious with a tropical vibe that is continued (2nd floor). The balcony is big with table and chairs. The room I was in had a perfect view that overlooked the resort with excellent view of sunrises and sunsets. There are several restaurants here. At dinner, they are first come first serve. The buffet was good, but is what you would find at other resorts. I also was able to take a mixology class here. Francisco was our mixologist & showed us how to have an old fashion & a tropical drink. Great experience! This place is accessible for anyone with Monility issues & they have a 24 hr onsite doctor.

We stayed for three days while attending a wedding in Cap Cana, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort operates at an exceptional level.
George at the front desk was absolutely outstanding he was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He set the tone for the entire stay, and the rest of the team followed suit. Every interaction felt thoughtful and sincere.
The resort itself is stunning. The pools are immaculate and beautifully designed, offering both relaxation and fun without ever feeling crowded. The grounds are pristine, and the attention to detail throughout the property is impressive.
The food exceeded expectations across the board—fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Every meal felt intentional, not typical “resort food.” The service was equally impressive: polished, prompt, and always delivered with a smile.
This was our first time at Dreams Cap Cana, and it will absolutely not be our last. The experience was seamless, elevated, and memorable in every way.

Beautiful resort with great pools!! Travelled with my wife and our 3 year old son. We stayed in a preferred club junior suite swim out room.
Our preferred club butler, JOHAN, genuinely cared about our satisfaction. He was professional, easily accessible, and enjoyable to be around.
I want to acknowledge ENRIQUE the restaurant manager, DOMINGO the waiter at Olio, RAMON at barefoot grill, and miss ANNY at the explorers (kids) club, who all contributed to a great experience during our 8 days at Dreams.
The restaurants were decorated and furnished beautifully, however the food was mid. We wished there were more flexible dining options for night time. Room service was bad both times we tried it.
Although certain areas could use some improvements, overall we had a great time at Dreams Cap Cana.

Our stay at Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa was truly a mix of highs and lows — and overall we’d say it’s a beautiful place with excellent service, but there were some issues worth noting.
From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their hospitality. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and genuinely seemed to care that we enjoyed our time. They handled requests promptly, always greeted us with a smile, and went out of their way to make our vacation comfortable. That level of service stood out and really enhanced the overall experience — it’s one of the resort’s strongest points.
The grounds and amenities are lovely: well-maintained landscapes, inviting pools, and plenty of dining and activity options. The concierge and butler service were especially helpful, anticipating needs and making sure details were addressed without us having to chase them down.
That said, our room experience wasn’t perfect. We encountered 1 to 2 per day cockroach in our room, which was upsetting and not what we expected at this level of resort. While this didn’t ruin our entire trip, it was definitely a disappointment and something the housekeeping/maintenance team should address more proactively. Unfortunately, reviews from other guests sometimes mention similar insect issues in rooms or bathrooms at Caribbean resorts — it’s not unheard of, but for a property like this it felt out of place.
We told the stay they said they would treat the room which we don't think they did. They caulked it up with a smile and said well this is a tropical climate.
In summary:
⭐ Service: Exceptional — the staff really makes the stay memorable.
⭐ Property & amenities: Beautiful and well laid-out.
⚠️ Room issues: Our encounter with a roaches and some insects was a notable downside.

Had a great time and ultimately it was a wonderful vacation the facilities were clean and everyone was friendly. If you like to be tended to and crave constant interaction and attention this place is for you. The staff tries to sell experiences at every turn and is relentless in their pursuit. We couldn’t escape someone trying to get us to go to the spa, book excursions, or buy photos that we did not want taken. It was often hard to relax because we were approached so many times. I understand that some people enjoy this kind of service but we did not and it was incredibly invasive. At one point, a man who harassed us into taking photos we did not want to take and a man tried to guilt us into doing an excursion saying “you guys really aren’t going to do anything?”. When the staff isn’t trying to hock something it’s vendors on the beach. We paid for the premium experience and still had to deal with people on the beach with large birds asking if we wanted photos or hair braiding, I think paying for the reserved spot on the beach should preclude you from these kind of interactions but I understand everyone has to make a buck. The food was fine, to be expected at a large resort but we did love Delores at Portofinos she was funny and sweet and the service there isn exceptional. We got massages at the spa and that was wonderful Noemi and Rosanna were great and for how much they try to sell you on the spa experience, they don’t bug you once you actually are at the spa. The manor in which you book reservations had to be done through a butler, ours, Randy was great but not being able to do things independently was cumbersome and added more work to simple requests - again I understand some people enjoy this kind of service but it’s not for us, we came on vacation to be left alone. This would be a great place for a large group and there seemed to be a lot of opportunities for activities with kids.

Check in was smooth and they accommodated our room requests. Butler (MELDY) promptly booked our dinner reservations for the week. He was always available and very responsive, friendly and went the extra mile to make our vacation special. Most of our meals were very good. I personally preferred the Al La carte options, particularly La Boheme, and Kusko. We had excellent service from ANDERSON. The Pool was fun and we had great drinks and service from JOEL. We enjoyed the live entertainment in the TRS lobby and the drinks were very good.

The beach and pool were great, the weather fantastic in January - not too hot and the odd short rainstorm.
This is our third TRS hotel, having visited Mexico and Ibiza.
Outstanding service from our butler Jean, in building 51, which is a great location near the main pool and beach.
Nothing was too much trouble for Jean he looked after us from the moment we arrived - helping us book all our preferred restaurants, helping us figure out our departure time and even organising a lovely surprise for us.
Dolores was fantastic at the pool bar - she was friendly and kind and kept us in constant supply of drinks - she looked after us so well.
Favourite experience was Chic cabaret - excellent food and a wonderful show put on by very talented performers - it’s a must when you stay here.
Helios on the beach is a gorgeous location for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And Capricho is also good if you want to mix up locations for lunch. In general the food was lower quality than Mexico and Ibiza, we found. But there is so much choice there’s something for everyone.
The gym was very very well equipped and not too busy. Brilliant morning yoga/stretching and Pilates with live music and fresh coconut water afterwards - brilliant special touch.

Credit to the landscaping and grounds team.the grass, palm trees, and overall resort landscaping were extremely well maintained, and they are clearly doing a great job.
The only downside was on our first day. We were told we were going for breakfast and thought it would be something special, but it turned out to be a regular buffet with a sales team member. After that, we were taken to another building for a membership sales presentation. Even though I mentioned I am not interested, the pressure continued, and it ended up taking about 3 hours of our morning.

TRS Turquesa was pure relaxation from start to finish. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous—lush, peaceful, and impeccably maintained—and the beach is stunning, with soft white sand and that unreal turquoise water you hope for in Punta Cana.
The drinks were fantastic—top-notch cocktails, great variety, and always made perfectly. Even better was the service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help, which made the whole experience feel effortless and luxurious.
A huge highlight of our trip was our butler, Nancy. She truly took such great care of us—anticipating our needs, checking in just the right amount, and making sure everything went smoothly. She made us feel so well looked after and added a very personal touch to our stay.

We had a wonderful stay, and I already know I would come back. I have not even left yet. One of the highlights was our butler, Aneuris. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of his way to make things easy and special for us, thank you Aneuris!
The food was excellent with lots of variety, and I appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options. Even as two adults, the water park was a blast. The lazy river and slides were so fun. The landscaping is beautiful and really mature, which I loved. Preferred Club was definitely worth it for the quieter pool and beach access. The Japanese and Italian restaurants were our favorites. The only small downside was the evening entertainment, which felt a bit sparse. It would have been nice to have more happening at night.

This resort is amazing! It has exceeded our expectations. The resort is beautiful and very well kept. ALL of the staff is extremely friendly. We loved our beach waitress Domaday, she made our experience on the beach so much fun and she always had a drink in our hands. The Sakura restaurant was very delicious, and Santa and Eury were incredible. I highly recommend this resort to all!

MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN: EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE FAILURE
Stay away if you are traveling with children. Our infant daughter had a medical emergency and the resort’s medical referral system is predatory and dangerous.
1. Dangerous Delays: We were referred to their partner, Hospiten Bávaro. They kept our sick baby waiting for 3 HOURS! before providing results/care.
2. Financial Extortion: They performed tests without disclosing any prices and then presented a "surprise" bill for $1,079 USD. They refused to let us leave or provide medication until we paid.
3. Resort Response: Management’s response has been dismissive. They claim to follow protocols, but their "protocol" involves sending sick children to an overcapacity clinic that prioritizes credit cards over emergency triage.
Do not trust the "5-star" service here when it comes to your family's health. We have filed a formal complaint with the Spanish Embassy and the Ministry of Tourism.
If you go unfortunately over the same experience don't stay quiet, this is a scam!

The food was easy and great! The service is beyond good. We stayed at the preferred side and were taken care of by Amelia and Rosie daily. They were so polite and prompt with us. The rooms were nice, the location to everything was so easy. It never was overwhelming with people, it never felt crowded or congested at anytime. I had a fantastic experience at all of the a la carte as well. Alejandro was a host with the most. I was impressed with the staff's promptness and straight forward approach dealing with allergies as well. So efficient and so personalized should you make it known to your server.

Overall, it’s a lovely spot and a great vacation destination! The staff is incredibly polite and always ready to lend a hand. The food is excellent, with both a la carte options and a buffet that’s usually delicious. The pools are spotless, and the waterpark is a fun way to spend a couple of hours each day. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with towels changed frequently. However, there’s a bit of a downside: the rooms don’t have soundproofing, so even the slightest noise can be heard. If you have families with young children, you might find yourself sharing the experience with them all night. The preferred service is a nice perk, and we really appreciate it. The beach is small, but it’s comfortable, and the sea is a beautiful blue, free from algae like you might find in other areas. They also have a sports bar that’s quite nice. The main issue is the air pollution in the evenings and night. No one seems to be addressing it, but I suspect the power plant nearby might be burning something like rubber or oil. This happens every night except Friday, and in our case, we had smoke, which isn’t ideal to breathe in. The smoke even seeps into the rooms. Aside from that, it’s a closed resort with enhanced security, but it’s not really a destination for activities. It’s more about relaxing and being lazy.

The resort itself is very pretty and offers a lot of options when it comes to pools and activities. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and I will always recommend going down at sunrise — it was easily one of the best parts of our stay.
The food, unfortunately, was pretty meh. The best restaurants we were able to try were Zen and Los Gallos.
This is also a very family-friendly resort, so be prepared for misbehaving kids and parents who don’t always seem to care. That said, the adults-only Eden pool is the spot if you’re trying to avoid kids — we loved it. Drinks were great and definitely didn’t taste watered down.
Overall, the resort could really use some updating. Many signs were worn down, technology didn’t always work, and communication was lacking. We didn’t even know there were trams available to get around until day two, which would’ve been nice to know earlier. A lot of things felt like we had to figure them out on our own.
On the positive side, the rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly, and despite the issues, we still had a great time. With some updates and better communication, this resort could be much better.

We have been at the Hard Rock a couple of times before and were really disappointed but we liked the resort so decided to give it another try.
We are so glad we did. This trip was wonderful.
Our Butlers Mariel and Ogalis were awesome and went above and beyond. The second night we were there my husband's CPAP band broke and he needed glue to repair it. It was late but I contacted our butler Mariel and explained the situation he said don't worry l will get you some glue. Mariel texted me back and he was able to get some glue from outside the resort and it was going to be delivered to us. Mariel and Ogalis made our vacation worth going back there again. What ever issues came up they would take care of it.
Thank you Mariel and Ogalis for making our vacation one of our best. Your dedication to make peoples vacations memorable ones is incredible.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana while attending a wedding. From the moment we arrived at the airport until the time we departed, the experience was unacceptable and far below the standard expected for the price paid and the reputation of your brand.
Prior to arriving, I attempted to confirm my reservation by phone and was told that my reservation could not be found in your system. This immediately caused concern. Upon arrival at the airport, although transportation was advertised as complimentary, we waited over an hour before being transported to the resort.
Once we arrived, we were dropped off at the incorrect check-in area and were required to walk across the resort with our luggage to find the correct location. After finally checking in, we were then told that our room was located back where we had come from, with no transportation available to assist us. We were forced to walk the entire distance again with our luggage. From landing at the airport to finally entering our room, the process took over three hours.
The food during our stay was equally disappointing. The only consistently edible option was making our own sandwiches, which is unacceptable for an all-inclusive resort at this price point.
The most frustrating issue involved transportation back to the airport. I spent nearly three hours attempting to confirm our return transportation—time that should have been spent enjoying the beach and wedding events. Despite being part of a wedding party with included transportation and having already paid, I was repeatedly told I would need to pay again. After escalating the issue, I was informed that transportation had been taken care of. However, upon checkout the following day, I was still charged $40 for transportation.
In total, I spent more time resolving logistical failures and searching for acceptable food than actually enjoying the resort or participating in wedding-related activities.
Given the extensive service failures, lost vacation time, and charges that should never have occurred, I am requesting appropriate compensation. At a minimum, I expect:
A refund of the $40 transportation charge, and
Partial reimbursement or resort credit reflecting the significant disruption and substandard experience during my stay.
I have already advised friends and family not to stay at this property based on my experience and will continue to share my honest feedback. I do not understand how service and food quality could be this poor given the cost of the stay.
I will not be returning to any Hard Rock property in the future. I expect a timely response addressing these issues and outlining how Hard Rock intends to resolve this matter.

We had an amazing stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana. The resort was spotlessly clean, extremely well run, and the customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming, and you could truly feel the kindness and beautiful culture of the Dominican people everywhere you went.
A special thank you to the manager and staff at Toro, who were absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond. No matter where we were on the resort, the team always aimed to please and made us feel genuinely cared for.
What made our vacation truly special was the people ,their warmth and dedication elevated the entire experience. We had a wonderful time as a family with our dog Charlie and created lasting memories. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort for its cleanliness, service, and heartfelt hospitality.

Amazing family vacation! The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there are so many great dining options. All of the restaurants were very nice, and most did not require reservations, which made everything easy and convenient. We loved having multiple breakfast places with no long waits. The Japanese restaurant Zen was a favorite, especially for the kids. The kids club was excellent and very safe, and the entertainment was outstanding,especially the Michael Jackson show! The water park was fun, and the beach was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The staff were kind and respectful, and there was so much to do for the whole family. Definitely worth the price and we would happily come back!

This was our fourth year staying at this resort and we have already booked again for next year. We cannot say enough about the amenities and beautiful property! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and many have remembered us from year to year. Deiby, the bartender at Cocoonz, along with the rest of the crew at the club pool, went above and beyond to make every day feel festive and fun. We brought our adult kids this year and Deiby was great, joking around and even teaching them a few Spanish phrases! He also made a special effort one afternoon to find me a pretty plastic wine glass I could take to the beach (because sometimes a fun glass makes all the difference!)
We met so many great people from all over during our stay. The cocktail making classes every afternoon were interesting, informative, and a great way to get out of the sun for an hour or so.
We also splurged on a spa day and it was totally worth it. The hydrotherapy alone is a treat! We followed up the spa by taking out one of the resort sailboats for some unforgettable family memories. Highly recommend this resort! Lots of ways to enjoy, relax, and unwind in a beautiful tropical paradise.

The resort was amazing. There were always activities going on at night. This was our first time staying at a family-friendly all-inclusive resort; prior to this, we had always stayed at adults-only ones. The resort was beautiful, the staff members were very nice and professional, and so many of them were genuinely dedicated to serving the guests. The ladies at the coffee shop in the front lobby were some of the best, as were the staff at the club bar, the club pool bar, and the servers at the restaurants—they were all great people who helped guests tremendously.
The resort is gorgeous, and they keep it very clean. They take great care of your belongings; if you accidentally drop something, you will most likely find it easily without worrying about losing it.
I’d say the only downside was that, because of the many night activities, they sometimes had very late and loud events going on. We stayed in the Club ocean-view junior suite. One night during our stay, they had loud music on the beach right below our room that lasted until 10 p.m. Because we have a 1.5-year-old toddler, it was a very tough night for us, and we felt tired the next day as well.
The beach was fine, but we were hoping for clear ocean water to swim in. However, the water visibility was basically zero—the water was very murky, we couldn’t see anything in it, and there was lots of seaweed.

This resort exceeded my expectations. Very well maintained. Clean rooms though beds and pillows could be more comfortable. The hospitality was amazing from the restaurant/buffet staff to the front desk to the bar attendants. Everyone was just so nice and courtesy and really cared. The food was gourmet for an all inclusive resort. Truly have not had better food at an all inclusive and I’ve been to so many. There are four restaurants and one buffet. They also a restaurant with live entertainment and an experience but that was for pay. Pools were clean and nice. Beach was clean of seaweed but smelled like fish so we just played in the sand. Several activities throughout the day and nighttime entertainment was great. Overall would highly recommend.

Just got back to reality after a nice trip, and I already miss Hyatt Ziva!
Clean, beautiful, and super friendly staff. First and foremost, they take allergies very seriously. Pictured are gluten free waffles and gluten free pancakes. If you talk to the chef during breakfast, they’ll prep gluten free options and bring them to your table!
The resort itself was absolutely stunning and still looked very new even though they opened in 2019.
Best part? All the staff. Super friendly, down to earth, and made you feel like home. If you’re walking with food and drinks and they see your hands full, they’ll ask numerous times if they can help you. Finest hospitality I’ve ever witnessed.

Our family of 15 had a great stay at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and would absolutely return. We stayed at the Club level and really enjoyed having access to the club pool and bar. Special thanks to Wilin, who took great care of our group at the club pool throughout our stay.
We used the spa, which was very nice with plenty of attendants. Massage therapists Albania and Morania stood out and both provided excellent treatments.
The head of food and beverage, Edgar, went above and beyond, checking in with us daily. The food across the resort was very good. We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts, and we all agreed the food here was better than the others. Our favorites were Waves, with great service from Patricio, and Noodle and Thread.
The gym was top notch.
If you play golf, there are excellent courses nearby.
Overall, this resort was a great fit for our group, and we are already planning to book again next year.

Luis at Lobby Bar, absolutely amazing , friendly service every order. Mayreni was absolutely wonderful, attentive, friendly by the pool. Jinesse, was our excellent maid/ housekeeping for our room. Luis and his brother were wonderful during the night for room service. Every single aspect of this resort has been a phenomenal experience, the food delicious, the amenities wonderful, cleanliness superb, landscaping beautiful. Every single employee you walk past greets you with friendliness abd respect. Our whole company and our customers had nothing but amazing reviews, positive experience!

Now do not get me wrong - this is a 5* luxury resort that is on the whole exceptional in a lot of ways. My 4 star rating on here is simply because it is in that upper band of resorts and to compete with the best; the four seasons / Ritz carltons in the most exotic locations, the last 5% and strive to perfection is needed.
Resort: beautiful. Beach is excellent. Setting marvellous. Hard to go wrong here.
Room: Building 5 fourth floor; really good location but, and a big but, I would only stay here in building five on floor 4+. Half the resort gets no sun at all. I wouldn’t pay for that and the risk is high, so this will impact where we stay when we return…
Rooms are very spacious; a bath would go down well.
Cleaning: bit haphazard; forgot to lay towels one day…. Didn’t finish toilet another day…. This needs to be consistently excellent and is not.
Club level: definitely worth it for the pool; great reprieve and we liked that.
Butler: we had Luis and were disappointed. Have never been disappointed with a butler before but it really felt negative from the start, we felt discriminated against by a bloke with quite a lot of attitude.
Missing item: I called reception to ask to speak to a manager as a technology item I had on Monday and Tuesday went missing on Wednesday. Was told I’d be called back and was not. This is not acceptable and I trust senior hospitality figures at the Hyatt would find that absurd.
Food; excellent at most restaurants. Tons of variety. Quality of the sashimi needs to be improved if trying to compete with Pacific Island resorts by having that out…

We just returned from an incredible week at the Hyatt Zilara, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The quality of the food and the variety of restaurants were outstanding—far beyond any other hotel we’ve stayed at. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, with an attention to detail that made us feel like part of the family.
We stayed in the Zilara section, which is adults-only, but the resort also offers the Ziva side for families. Every evening featured fantastic shows, along with surprise performances by talented artists in different areas of the resort.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean. Housekeeping was impeccable, with daily cleaning, evening turndown service, and even midday visits to ensure we had everything we needed—water, towels, and more.
I highly recommend trying the Blind Butcher experience. This specialty restaurant, available at an additional cost, is absolutely worth it. The culinary experience was phenomenal, complemented by live performances every 15 minutes, including dancing and singing acts that made the evening unforgettable.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Pedro Thomas and his entire team, with special recognition to Jenny and Darling for their exceptional hospitality. A big thank you as well to our butler, Osiris, for his attentiveness and availability throughout the week, and to Anthony and Daniela from The Pier restaurant for their outstanding service.

We stayed over the holidays in December 2025. The resort is immaculate, beautiful, & upscale. We felt like it was sort of like a little city or cruise on land if you will. What made it even better, was the staff. Manuel and Kayla (not sure of her full name) in the activities department were amazing. They got the guests involved with the many fun activities that are offered. We enjoyed the crafts, aqua fitness classes (water bikes - so cool), darts, and silent disco. Our son was surprised by + LOVED the impressive gym. He said it was just as nice if not nicer than his gym at home. And they have an outdoor pickleball court! Our daughter wasn't feeling well one of the days and did not participate in the daily craft. Kayla made her that day's craft so that she could have it to take home. So sweet! Manuel was hysterical and works hard. He kept us laughing and active. Ashton at the front desk and Patti, our room attendant were lovely. And Mayreni was the best. We also loved all of the musicians that entertained us all week. We miss Hyatt and Ziva (the stray kitties that made an appearance nightly). Free pet therapy! Our only critique is to play less Adele at the pool...LOL. We loved that it was an adults only resort, but we could go next door to the Ziva side if we wanted (which we did for some of the restaurants - I'm still dreaming about the Burratta Pizza at the Italian place). The staff takes such pride in their jobs and really strive to make the guest experience a memorable one. We will be back!

Arelci, Christian, and Endy were the most exceptional wait staff in the whole resort. They were so good at their job and made you feel extra special and appreciated.
The resort itself has changed a lot in the past few years. The staff in general is not as outgoing and don't seem to be as happy as they once were. They don't interact like they used to. The poolside activities are almost non-existent. The entertainment staff they have are very nice, but they really don't have much (activity wise) to work with.
We miss a lot of staff that were there for many years. They were such good employees that remembered you and interacted with everyone!
A lot of visitors are thinking that Marriott has turned Sanctuary into a typical corporate resort. It doesn't have the same feel as it has had in the past 12 years.

We chose this luxury resort to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary after doing a lot of research.
Before coming, we saw a few reviews that made us a little uncertain, but we decided to experience it ourselves — and we’re glad we did!
This resort is adults-only, which makes it a perfect place for couples who just want peace, quiet, and relaxation.
The staff are very friendly, and the food is overall good.
If I could suggest one thing, it would be to have some small evening shows or live music — it would make the nights even more enjoyable.
We also loved spending time at the pool bar, sipping cocktails and just unwinding.
I especially recommend the Asian restaurant — the food and service were both excellent.
If you’d like to receive a bit of extra attention, leaving a small tip goes a long way.
We truly enjoyed our 4-night, 5-day stay here.
Also, I highly recommend joining a local tour. It costs around $50 per person and makes for a fun and fulfilling day.
Just keep in mind that the resort photos online look a bit more glamorous than reality — so try to come with an open mind.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this resort!

I just got home from a girls trip at this resort. The lobby is beautiful. The ground are well kept and very clean. The staff seems very unorganized and even more so they are not friendly at all. The only time I felt like the staff was friendly was when I had cash in my hand and they could see it for tipping. I was a generous tipper regardless of their attitudes.
The food was pretty spectacular for an all inclusive resort. I am a foodie in my regular life so I was expecting sub par dining. The meal options far exceeded expectations. The alcohol options were not my favorite because I prefer craft cocktails but I pretty much expected I wouldn't find any alcoholic beverages that really blew my mind.
The beach is fairly small which I did not mind however if you are someone who likes long walks on the beach this is not the resort for you.
My friends scarf got stolen out of the room and it was a luxury LV scarf and the hotel did nothing about it. They did not offer compensation. They took days to respond or give her any answers into their investigation.
The spa was amazing. I was not expecting such a wonderful spa at an all inclusive resort but it is a must do if you are traveling there.
Overall I would recommend this to friends and family. I wish that the hotel had kinder staff because it seemed across the board that everyone hated their job that worked there.

We booked this hotel for three days following our cruise which ended in La Romana. Our overall experience was positive, and in the end, I would recommend the resort with a few suggestions for improvement.
Good:
1. Fairly safe with several manned gates to enter. The resort has everything you need and no need to leave unless you want to.
2. The grounds are nicely landscaped and lighted. There are a few little shops for souvenirs and a store in case you forgot anything. There are also lots of seating areas scattered around so it doesn't feel crowded at all.
3. Early arrival (this was HUGE for us). We came after a cruise and although our room wasn't going to be ready until the 3:00 checkin, they stored our luggage and let us use the facility (pool, restaurants, etc) as soon as we arrived.
4. Castle room with swim out was super nice and private. Note: it is described as a private pool which is not exactly correct. You actually use steps to enter the pool from your patio, and then the pool itself is shared among others who have the same access. It is private in that it is not open to everyone--only those staying in that building with the access steps.
5. Butler service (especially JT) was amazing. He brought us towels, floats, drinks, etc. and even drove us on the golf cart to any restaurants we wanted to visit. If we had any questions or needed reservations, he was there to help. He made the trip go from great to amazing. If you go, you should absolutely ask for him.
6. Love the welcome drink!
7. Food was terrific. We especially loved the Blue Marlin crab cakes, Wok beef dishes, and everything at the steakhouse. Even room service was great and they actually laid out all of the food instead of just delivering it to the door. They even deliver in a warming oven so your food is hot and fresh when it arrives.
Needs Improvement:
1. Bed was very worn out, and you couldn't actually just sit on the edge of the bed without feeling that you were falling off of the bed. It lacked support completely. Not sure if the frame was broken or mattress damaged.
2. We paid an upgrade fee to stay in the castle with the swim out steps, but the pool was filthy. At first they told us it was just leaves from the wind, but even after they tried to clean it, it was obvious that it was actually stained and in need in refurbishment. The pool is also super cold even though the sun hits it much of the day. It was so cold that we couldn't really use it much at all, but it was a nice look.
3. We arranged and prepaid transportation directly with the resort for our transfer from the cruise port to the resort when arriving. We were surprised to then get a call from the driver to tell us that he couldn't come in the gate at the port to pick us up until we paid his port access fee (a $15 fee) and sent him a copy of the receipt so he could show it at the gate to gain entry. Having booked a "luxury" transfer at a cost of $212 (nearly double what others were paying for similar transfers), I feel like this should have been included in that cost. If it wasn't included, at a minimum, it should have been disclosed as an additional charge at the time of booking. It was only $15, but it was more the principle of it.
4. "All inclusive" was more like "Mostly inclusive". We don't often stay at all inclusive resorts because we actually don't drink a lot. I do, however, enjoy a glass of wine with dinner so I was disappointed to find that they only offered two varieties wine in the "all inclusive" package. I could get the wine that I wanted, but I just had to pay for it. They do, however, offer decent liquor brands. There were also a good number of menu options that were not included in the all inclusive meal program either.
5. If you have stayed here before, be aware that the Sanctuary Town is no longer included in the all inclusive meal program so all food there carries a charge unless you booked prior to October 2025.

Our stay at this resort was excellent! We had an absolutely great time as well as rested.well Great friendly staff service, food, location and entertainment. .Our butler Carlos did everything he could to make sure our stay was extra special. He was always available to serve with anything we needed making sure that we were always satisfied. The only downfall was the closed beach due to accumulated seaweed this year. Fortunately all the 6 pools were amazing with clean crystal clear water. We will definitely go back. We recommended if you like a quiet, beautiful, friendly environment to have fun and rest.

The resort has a few good highlights. The food trucks and ice cream shop were nice additions, and the newly renovated family club rooms are modern and comfortable.
However, there were several drawbacks. The food menu was not very versatile, and the buffet served the same items every day. Vegetarian options were very limited. The Wi-Fi was poor, and there was a noticeable lack of nightly entertainment. Even small things, like no lemon and mint available for mojitos for one day!
Overall, it was an average experience. Based on my previous trips, I would recommend considering other resorts for better variety and overall value.

This was our first time here, and our first all inclusive vacation.
The staff are super friendly people even though I only know 2 Spanish words. The young man in the main buffet making omelets to order each morning (I wish I could remember his name) made the start of each morning here special! Always a smile, a wave, and kind greetings!
A very beautiful beach, well kept grounds, rooms and beds are top notch.
We stayed in the family zone. Our grandchildren were catered to with activities, water slide park and a family pool.
There is even a buffet in the family area specifically designed to make the littles happy.
The food, how can I say this strongly enough, I am a food lover and neither I nor any of our family group were ever disappointed with the volume or the quality of the food. The included al a carte restaurants are worth checking out. We soon found a favorite and returned a few times.
Our stay was 2 weeks and we always had something to do, somewhere to lounge in the sun and something to occupy the littles with.
We will return.

I stayed at the family Princess Bávaro. The hotel is stunning, with so many amenities and pools. The food options were great, but never hot. My husband, daughter and I were sick for days, we think it was the food as, when we returned home, everything went back to normal within a day. The alcohol they serve is also cheap and was tough on the system. This said, this was a fantastic experience for my daughter. There are toys in the room for kids to use, great toddler and kid water slides, and wading pools for littlest. The wildlife was amazing.
Unfortunately my grandmother had to go to the hospital and they over charged and misdiagnosed her. The hospital is linked to the hotel. If you have to go, I suggest you go to a hospital closer to the hotel and not affiliated with them. It seemed like a money grab; they kept her longer than necessary and prescribed things that were not necessary for her symptoms.additionally, they charged more than what the bill said.
After looking at other reviews, I see other people had the same experience with the hospital.
This, combined with other experiences, has convinced us to never go back to Punta Cana.

Rooms are beautiful and clean. Especially the swim out suites in the Family Club section. Housekeeping cleaning daily. Refilling of minibars everyday.
Waterpark is great for kids under 12.
The beach is about 10 minute walk but there’s golf carts going around all the time. It’s a huge resort but it is very clean, everywhere, outside, restaurants, they take good care of it.
There isn’t a lot of pools for a huge resort like this and the main pool is not that great, so it’s better to be in the family club section if you enjoy being by the pool.
Beach is gorgeous.
Staff at the main buffet is amazing. The food at the main buffet is pretty good, different foods everyday.
The best à la carte restaurant was El Gaucho (steakhouse)
We had a great time. The kids loved it too. Definitely a good choice for a family vacation. I would come back here with my kiddos. But wouldn’t choose the Princess Resort for a couple’s getaway. It is more family oriented !

While the staff and grounds were lovely, I feel it’s important for future guests to know that all three of us became sick daily from the food, which seems tied to hygiene or food handling. This issue, along with the constant upsells, poor communication, and weak family offerings, means we would not return and do not recommend.
Pros:
The swim-up room was great and very clean.
Staff throughout the property were genuinely kind and welcoming.
The resort grounds are well-maintained with lots of visible upkeep.
We appreciated the cute birthday package that was left in the room.
Cons:
Unfortunately, several issues overshadowed the experience:
(1) The constant upselling throughout the resort was overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, we were approached for a timeshare-style “membership” pitch that took up a lot of our initial time. Once on the beach, vendors were immediately allowed to approach us on the sand to sell products and services, which made it hard to relax. Even while enjoying our swim-up room, staff came by upselling spa packages. It felt like we were being sold something at every turn rather than simply enjoying our stay.
(2) The food was a major problem. From the first meal to the last, all three of us experienced stomach issues daily. It felt like food was left out too long, with bugs circulating around the buffet, and cross contamination.
(3) Buffets rarely changed from day to day, which added to the disappointment.
(4) The WiFi is extremely poor unless you pay an upcharge — another money trap. WiFi still sucked.
(5) You cannot take food from the buffet, and room service is not included, both of which felt like unnecessary nickel-and-diming.
(6) Events are not clearly communicated. For example, one night there were fireworks around 2am that were never mentioned anywhere. Not inclusive of families with children.
(7) The amount of smoking everywhere on the property (cigarettes, cigars, weed) was overwhelming. There didn’t appear to be designated smoking areas, which is surprising for a family resort.
(8) Our daughter said the kids club didn’t run the activities listed, which was disappointing since we chose the resort partly for that. In chatting with other families, they had similar feedback.
(9) Transportation wait times (train/shuttle to the beach) were sometimes 15–20 minutes. We also saw people with strollers struggle to board due to crowding and aggressive boarding.
