One star is generous.
This was easily one of the most disappointing resorts we've stayed at. The place is dirty, run-down, outdated, and desperately needs some serious attention. The pool was ridiculously warm more like bath water than something you'd want to cool off in.
The beach was a mess. Seaweed was piled up and apparently cleaning it wasn't much of a priority. If you're coming here for a beautiful beach vacation, prepare to be disappointed.
The food was awful, and somehow the drinks weren't much better. At an all-inclusive resort, food and drinks are a pretty big part of the experience, so when both are bad, you're already fighting a losing battle.
Then there's the nonstop selling. You're trying to relax on vacation and constantly have people approaching you trying to sell cigars and other stuff. After you've said "no" multiple times, it gets old very quickly. I didn't pay for a vacation to feel like I was walking through a flea market.
The staff didn't help matters either. Friendly and helpful service seemed to be the exception rather than the rule. Very little about this place made us feel welcomed or like anyone cared whether we were enjoying our stay.
We also had no hot water one day, and the air conditioning never worked properly. We were even assigned the wrong room on arrival. After multiple attempts to get these issues rectified, we finally gave up. We've been to Mexico many times, and this was by far the worst experience.
Dirty property. Outdated facilities. Bath-water pool. Messy beach. Bad food. Bad drinks. Constant sales pitches. Unfriendly service.
Save your money. There are far better resorts where you can actually relax and enjoy your vacation.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute nightmare.
The hotel put regular vacationers in the same building as hundreds of teenagers who were there on a school-organized summer trip.
Every single night, the hallways were filled with loud music, screaming, laughing, drunken teenagers running around, and doors slamming until the early hours of the morning. Getting any sleep was impossible.
We weren't the only ones complaining. Many guests raised the issue with the staff, but instead of trying to resolve it, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. Their response was simply, "This is an entertainment resort." Hotel corridors are like night clubs the whole night
Apparently, their idea of an "entertainment resort" is letting guests suffer through sleepless nights while doing absolutely nothing to control the chaos.
The staff showed no respect for guests. The rooms were not clean, the food was below average, and the customer service was among the worst I've experienced. The person who was in Omelet bar in international restaurant yelled at me when I asked for meet in my Omelet. Staff couldn't speak or understand English properly so communicating with them was a headaches.Restaurants do not have proper cooling system and people were sweating and suffering from heat while eating their food.
What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a stressful and exhausting experience. We spent our money expecting a peaceful holiday, but instead we barely slept for days.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This hotel clearly doesn't care about its guests' comfort or experience.

I had a great time at this all-inclusive resort in Cancún. The property was clean, the views were absolutely gorgeous, and there were plenty of food options to choose from throughout the stay. The resort had a lively, party atmosphere with lots of entertainment and energy, making it a fun destination for those looking for nightlife and social activities. The only downside was that the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for the beautiful scenery, great dining options, and vibrant atmosphere.

Let me start with this is terrible place to stay my experience was horrible. I arrived and so much confusion in where check in first room they gave us was dirty and view of she shed I complained Immediately they offered a second room, but we had to wait two hours to get and they put us right behind a room right behind this music stage so we had to listen to music on it until 1130. Complain the next morning mind you we were here for my friend‘s birthday and she was definitely happy finally gave us another room. After waiting an hour to the fourth floor view was great. But no air conditioning. They advised several restaurants and all inclusive but buffet sucks same food every day. Restaurants are only for black card guest which idk even how get that we were blue bracelet guest . Too big hotel it’s a building oof three buildings you lost most of time they don’t give maps of locations of restaurants. I had horrible time to point I checked out early. . Shows are great but this very disappointing hotel for being in Cancun .drinks are watered down not good . No activity like advertised . Pools are well maintained but beds are charge 100 day with no shade over them. They promised wine and bday cake for bf birthday which never came had complained then it was brought at 830 at night . You feel like motel 6 stay not resort. I recommend I’ll never stay here again and if you want nice vacation location no stress this is not ur place it’s not worth any money staff was nice but issues are hotel it’s self.

My experience at Grand Oasis Cancun was quite disappointing considering they market themselves as an “exclusive” resort.
Visually, the hotel is beautiful and has some nice areas, but the service and customer attention leave a lot to be desired. During my stay, I suffered a fall in the bathroom due to the extremely slippery floor, injuring my ribs and experiencing pain and difficulty breathing afterward. The staff’s initial reaction felt very disorganized and lacking empathy; they seemed more concerned about documenting the scene than providing immediate support to the guest.
We also experienced several additional issues:
- Housekeeping occasionally failed to leave blankets or coffee in the room.
- The internet connection has many problems and does not work properly in several areas of the resort.
- Most beach lounge chairs are either paid or restricted/exclusive, which feels absurd for an “all inclusive” resort.
- There was confusion and poor communication regarding charges and payments, including issues related to American Express and supposed environmental taxes.
- At Dos Lunas Restaurant, one of the waiters provided very poor and unprofessional service.
And although the hotel mentions environmental efforts and sargassum cleaning, the beach remained full of sargassum throughout most of our stay.
Honestly, I expected much more for the price and for the “luxury” image they try to project. There are far more organized, modern hotels with significantly better customer service in Cancun.
The positive side:
the facilities are visually attractive and some employees genuinely try to help, but the overall experience was far below expectations.

I went to Cancun for a vacation with 12 members of my family, and the trip was more wonderful than we could have imagined. All of this was thanks to this amazing resort.
The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and very clean.
The restaurants were excellent and offered a luxurious dining experience.
There were stunning views and plenty of comfortable places to relax.
The food was absolutely delicious.
The pools were beautiful, with fun activities available throughout the day.
At night, there were many entertainment shows suitable for all ages.
I can honestly say that this is a complete resort that offers exceptional value for money at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Management Made It Right — Overall a Good Stay
I wanted to update my review because the hotel management was very accommodating and genuinely made an effort to address the issues we experienced during our stay.
A special shoutout to Omar Lopez, the manager. He was extremely nice, professional, and took our concerns seriously. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, and I really appreciate how he handled everything. Good management makes a huge difference when problems come up.
The food at the resort is actually very good, and we enjoyed it throughout our stay. One small suggestion would be to open the coffee shop earlier in the morning.
One thing I would recommend to future guests is to do your research and understand the difference between hotel star ratings and independently rated Diamond properties. We had previously stayed at Diamond-rated resorts, so our expectations for a resort advertised as five-star were based on those experiences. The standards and rating systems aren’t necessarily the same.
There were some issues during our stay, but what matters is how a hotel responds when concerns are brought to their attention. Omar and the management team listened and worked to make things right.
Overall, we ended up having a good time, enjoyed the food and property, and I appreciate the way management handled our concerns.

We had an amazing stay! The resort is beautiful, with stunning views, spacious suites, and a relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived.
A special thank you to the bartenders at the Lobby Bar—Johana, Luis, and Orlando. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive every day. Their great personalities and outstanding service made our evenings even more enjoyable. They always remembered our drinks, greeted us with a smile, and created a fun and inviting atmosphere.
The staff throughout the resort worked hard to make our stay memorable, and we truly appreciated their hospitality. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for great service, beautiful accommodations, and a wonderful vacation experience. We can't wait to come back!

We are staying here travelling with our young baby, booked through Sunwing. This resort is poorly suited for families with infants.
Our room had strong chemical odours from new furniture. Shortly after check‑in, our baby developed an allergic skin rash. The air‑conditioner makes extremely loud non‑stop humming noise all night, making it very hard for our baby to sleep. Turning off the AC leads to heat and heavy mosquitoes. The bathroom has no closing door at all, offering zero privacy for family use.
When we raised our concerns, staff member Alejandra Cahuich kept telling us to contact Sunwing. Hotel management stated these room conditions are Sunwing’s responsibility because they were not listed on their website.
Additional frustrations: the café and ice‑cream shop only open at 3:30 PM, which is impractical for families. Food quality is below standard compared to other major‑chain all‑inclusive resorts we have visited. The property looks large on the outside but many details feel unfinished.
We hope sharing our real‑life experience can help other families set realistic expectations before booking.
Updates: we met some travelers yesterday, asked about their experiences, all agreed this hotel is boring and has little activities compared to to other 5 star hotels in Cancun. Do not book any Grand hotels in future, time is limited, go somewhere else.
Kid club is outdoor and only for 4+ above, infant time is only 1-3pm usually most baby’s nap time. Obviously they don’t want any baby to use the playground area. Another hotel Hollywood planet allows infant and family members to enter to play, and it is indoor. they have a same policy 4+, but more nice. We went to the indoor playground at Grand, the family time one, no one there in the morning, but still don’t allow baby to use. The toys are obviously for babies which is not make sense and lacking empathy. Defiantly a lier for “best for family”

We stayed at the grand sunset princess for 6 days. The stay was excellent, the territory, restaurants, pools, bars and staff were great. It was our first vacation with my partner and we both enjoyed how it went smoothly. However we spent so much time for check in. We arrived very early in the morning and were told that rooms will be ready by 3 pm, but we can check around 2:30 if it’s ready, that’s what we did and after were informed that they need another 30 min as the room not ready yet. We came at 3:10 pm to check in and there were a lot of people and we spent another 40 min waiting to just have a room keys. That was annoying. I understand that it’s not the hotel problem, but we were tired and just wanted to go to the room. Also nobody mentioned anything about the shows or the club that they had in the property. We founded out it from other guests who were staying there. The beach is beautiful, but seaweed all over it, also very rocky bottom, so we didn’t really swam in the sea, mostly in the swimming pools. Also be aware that so many sellers want to sell you some activities and going to Coco Bongo, we did 2 activities, but it was crazy how everyday they ask if you are ready to go. We also saw a lot of animals around the hotel, that was amazing to see how they feel comfortable to just walking around. Other than that, everything was good and we might be back.

We have been traveling throughout Mexico for the past two weeks, staying at several wonderful hotels, including Dreams Tulum, CasaBakal Bacalar, and My Blue Holbox. Every hotel welcomed us with kindness and excellent service.
That is why arriving at The Pyramid at Grand Oasis Cancún has been such a disappointment. Ironically, this has been the most expensive hotel of our trip and, so far, the worst experience.
The photos clearly show that there is not a single complimentary shaded area on the beach or by the pool. All regular lounge chairs are fully exposed to the sun, while the only shaded areas are premium daybeds that require an extra fee. Families with babies were trying to keep them cool in the shallow water because there was nowhere shaded to stay comfortably. Other guests were covering their heads with towels to escape the sun. And no, the few palm trees do not provide usable shade.
We have traveled all over the world and never—even at budget hotels—have we seen a resort that charges extra for the only shaded areas while offering no complimentary alternative.
What made the situation even worse was the concierge’s attitude. Instead of showing empathy, he simply said, “People travel here looking for the sun.” When we explained that enjoying the sun is very different from having no shaded option, he dismissively replied that we were free to complain if we wanted.
As Brazilian guests, we also felt far less welcomed than we had at every other hotel during our trip. The service was cold, without smiles, and lacked the hospitality expected from a luxury resort.
We have literally just arrived, and our first impression could not have been worse. We sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and that the rest of our stay reflects the luxury experience this resort promises.

Don’t let the ratings scare you. This is definitely the best resort we’ve ever been too. The Pyramid is fabulous in every aspect tbh. Great stuff, great location, very nice and clean. Food is great at as well but could be a little better. There are 17 restaurants available for the pyramid guests and we were able to get food for the 5 days without reserving any of them. Our stay have been awesome and we’ll definitely be returning back next year.
Imran Ali
I am giving 4 star because their food range for general restaurant is very limited people who eat chicken should not consider this resort as they have almost nothing or very less chicken here whereas the sea front room has bit outdated bathrooms whereas people who relay on elevator for wheel chair or baby stroller should not choose this hotel as other then the praymid itself building there is some stair you need to go up manually which is really painful bcz we compromise a bit to change room to praymid which has partial beach view but room are way better and good bathroom so that change workef best for us with one year baby. Within Pyramid Booking, you would have access to premium restaurants which were super good, especially Banazuza, Careyes, and Sakura, all of which required booking in advance. The staff was extremely good, and the fragrance at Pyramid was very good .Overall, not a bad experience as there were few other restaurants we were supposed to try, but we couldn't get much time. But Cafe del Mar has a good view outside and has a side pool down the seaside. The beaches are all the same in the resort, so that's Good. Overall satisfied, but if we had known some of these options beforehand, we might have planned better. But I'm okay with what I paid for it.

I don’t know where to start! First day we got wrong rooms, after correcting it and getting the rooms we requested, the toilet overflow, and the whole room was flooded, so we had to change the room again! The next day, after the room was dried, when we went back to the room to get the rest of our belongings, our shoes were gone! We had to go to the customer service to get our shoes back so we can actually have shoes on ! Then there was a power outage for over an hour in this heat! The next day, another power outage and they don’t have generators to provide light or air-conditioning for the rooms and when you go to the customer service, they deny the whole power outage, very delusional ! Also, some of the regular restaurants won’t let anyone in under 18! There is a service fee of $20 USD for each service if you need to order room service! Absolutely a horrible experience! They also denied the refund so we can go to another hotel and their response was : No refund! if you have a problem, take it to the Mexican electricity company . That is the response from the hotel manager! On the last day of our trip, the ceiling of the restroom collapsed. If you want to enjoy your vacation , stay away from this hotel and go to another one so you can enjoy the safe and cool rooms and good service for your vacation.

If you are a traveler from abroad, my strongest recommendation is to avoid this hotel. This was a definitively bad experience, and we will never return. Even though we paid for "The Pyramid", everything was of extremely low quality.
The staff at this complex is incredibly unwelcoming. They don’t greet you, they lack basic hospitality, and their English is very limited. We saw many international guests struggling because the employees simply wouldn't answer their questions. Most of the staff appeared moody, rude, and acted as if helping you was a chore.
The rooms are dated and have a very unpleasant smell. Everything feels cheap, including the mattresses, which were very uncomfortable.
The buffet food is terrible and lacks variety. I was served meat that was mostly gristle, and the overall flavor of the food is poor. The "snacks" are basic, and the tacos were greasy and unappetizing.
Reservations: It is nearly impossible to book specialty restaurants.
Crowds: One night, the buffet was so overcrowded they sent us to eat in the cafeteria. The alcohol is bottom-shelf, low-quality, and tastes bad.
Avoid this place during Spring Break. The hotel is full of drunk teenagers, and there are massive lines for everything. While the beach is pretty, the ocean is very rough. There aren’t enough lounge chairs or shade. If you don't "reserve" a chair with a towel by 6:00 AM, you won't find a place to sit all day (we were feeling like we were playing the hunger games).
Save your money and avoid the headache. There are many other hotels offering much better service and quality for the same price. Even that entertainment was good, this hotel was a huge disappointment. Do not stay here.

I never imagined I would leave a vacation writing a review like this.
My partner and I chose Margaritaville Riviera Maya Adults Only because we were looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive escape where we could celebrate, unwind, and simply exist without feeling judged. Instead, we left feeling hurt, exhausted, and deeply disappointed.
From the moment we arrived, this resort failed to deliver the experience it advertises. One of the biggest disappointments was learning there was no swimmable beach, something that was not made clear when booking. If you’re expecting the classic Riviera Maya beach vacation, you won’t find it here.
The food was another major letdown. What’s the point of paying for an all-inclusive resort if there’s rarely anything available to eat? Restaurants frequently had limited menus, unavailable items, or long waits. More than once, my partner and I went to bed hungry because there simply wasn’t anything available. That should never happen at an all-inclusive resort.
What hurt even more than the food was how we were treated. I was repeatedly misgendered by staff, even after correcting them. Being respected for who you are isn’t a special request … it’s the bare minimum. By the end of our stay, we couldn’t help but feel that we were being treated differently. As a couple, that feeling was heartbreaking.
We genuinely tried to give this resort every opportunity to improve our experience. We stayed patient, extended grace, and hoped each day would be better. Instead, we were met with inconsistent service, dismissive attitudes, and an experience that fell further and further below what was promised.
By our last day, the emotional toll of everything had caught up with us. My partner and I left in tears. No vacation should end that way.
The only people who made us feel seen and genuinely cared for were Ross and Carolina. They treated us with kindness, professionalism, and the level of hospitality we wish we had experienced throughout our stay. They deserve recognition because they were the exception, not the rule.
This resort has beautiful grounds, but beautiful buildings don’t make up for poor hospitality, disappointing food, and making guests feel unwelcome. We came expecting a memorable vacation. We left with memories we’d rather forget.
Ann.
I had an absolutely amazing experience at this spa. I did the hydrotherapy session followed b1 hour then 55 minute deep tissue massage, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
The massage was incredible I have never experienced this level of skill, care, and professionalism before. The service was exceptional from the very first second until the very last minute. Everyone made me feel relaxed, welcomed, and truly taken care of.
Everything was perfect, and I left feeling completely refreshed and renewed. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.

Lovely week at Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancún! The resort was clean, comfortable, and serene. We loved our swim-up suite, and would book this room again! Our butler, Alberto, made sure we had a great week, not only checking in on our needs, but ensuring we had dinner plans each night. Alberto went the extra mile and helped decorate our room for a birthday celebration. We also appreciated the art/craft activities for families and the drop-off kids club led by Tanya and Landy. Be sure to arrange for premium cuts like the tomahawk or porterhouse (well worth extra cost) for the best meal of your vacation! Everyone we engaged with provided excellent service, and we would definitely return in the future.

Just finished a 7 night trip to Margaritaville Riviera Cancun ( not the adult only sister property).
We had a two bedroom swim up suite with 2 adults and 3 children, and we LOVED it !
The rooms were fantastic, as a party of five we had plenty of space and as an added bonus the walk to the beach took all of 3 minutes from the room. Compared to other resorts in the area it was small but honestly I loved that it was so easily walkable to everything on site. And with it being smaller the resort never felt crowded, there was never a wait for dining and we were always able to fine lounge chairs by the pools.
Onto my favorite part, the service and the staff. Let me say that we had all good interactions, from the wait staff, to the room attendants and even the grounds staff. Hands down a really fabulous staff here, and again because of the size of the resort you ran into the same staff multiple times a day.
Miss Esther and Antonio from the Beach House restaurant were charming and really kind to our kids. Norma and Reina from the spa staff took excellent care of my girls with their mani/ pedi day. Jose was our room attendant for the entire week and did suck a wonderful job of keeping the rooms looking excellent. Marcos was our personal concierge and took care of any requests we had and made sure to check in daily to see if there was anything else we needed. And Miss Tana that does the morning activities by the Blended bar, thank you for your patience with my kids, they loved getting to paint and make bead bracelets with you!
This was our first trip to this Margaritaville and we are already planning on a second visit by the end of this year, I’d definitely say for our family it was a 10 out of 10 .

I really wish the front desk staff had been as friendly and welcoming as the rest of the employees throughout the resort. After reading so many positive reviews before booking, I expected a much better experience.
Unfortunately, our stay started off on the wrong foot at check-in. I had booked a two-queen swim-up room months in advance, but upon arrival we were told we would be staying in a king room with a pull-out sofa instead. No one contacted us beforehand to let us know about this change or offered any explanation until we arrived.
The front desk staff was consistently rude and unhelpful. Throughout our five-night stay, we had daily issues with our wristbands, requiring us to return to the front desk multiple times. It was frustrating and incredibly inconvenient.
The room also fell short of expectations. Several days we had to request fresh towels because housekeeping left used ones behind, and our shower was missing shampoo and conditioner. To make matters worse, we were repeatedly hit with unexpected fees, even when the changes were the result of the resort's mistakes.
The food was another major disappointment. We found the quality to be poor, especially compared to other all-inclusive resorts we've visited.
The only bright spots of our stay were the bartender at the middle pool and the primary servers in the restaurants. They were genuinely friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. They were the highlight of an otherwise disappointing vacation.
Sadly, this was not the experience we expected, and because of it, we will not be staying at another Margaritaville resort. If you're visiting Cancun, I highly recommend the Hilton resort instead. We should have stuck with the resort we know and trust.

We just spent seven wonderful days at the Platinum Yucatan Princess, a beautiful five-star resort in the Riviera Maya. The property is spotless — the rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day, and the entire resort felt very well maintained.
The pools were a highlight: one lively party pool and a calmer one closer to the beach, perfect for every mood. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive. Special shoutouts to Fernanda, the buffet manager, who always greeted us with a big smile, and to our wonderful waiters Miguel and Brian — Brian had us laughing with his hilarious cat and cricket impressions! Hostess Karen was also fantastic.
The only downside was the beach, which had a lot of seaweed and a pretty strong smell during our stay in late May. That seems to be seasonal, though, and didn’t ruin our overall experience.
We also booked a catamaran and beach excursion through Air Canada. The catamaran portion was excellent, and overall the excursion was very enjoyable. However, there were a few things we wish had been explained more clearly beforehand. Once arriving at the beach, umbrellas cost extra — around $20–$35 for two hours — which was disappointing under the intense sun. Also, food and drinks were only included during the one-hour buffet meal. Since the beach stop lasted about four hours, we strongly recommend bringing your own water and snacks, as any additional drinks had to be purchased separately. It would have been helpful if this had been communicated more clearly in advance.
Overall, we’d definitely recommend this resort. The staff, cleanliness, atmosphere, and pools made for an amazing vacation — just maybe avoid peak seaweed season if a pristine beach is your top priority. Worth the trip!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after spending a significant amount of money on what was advertised as a luxury, adults-only, five-star resort, I feel obligated to share our experience. From the moment my sister and I arrived, the resort fell far short of its five-star reputation. The property lacked energy, there were very few organized activities, and we often found ourselves wandering around trying to find something to do. The beach was also disappointing due to the overwhelming amount of sargassum. While I understand it’s a natural occurrence, the strong odor from the decaying seaweed made spending time by the ocean unpleasant. The biggest disappointment was the food. Meal after meal was overcooked, under-seasoned, lukewarm, or simply lacked care. Between restaurant hours, the only options were hamburgers, hot dogs, cold fries, and nachos. Traveling to Mexico only to eat mediocre American snack food was incredibly disappointing. Our hibachi dinner was one of the worst meals of the trip. Nearly everything was drowned in butter and black pepper, completely overpowering the food. Shortly afterward, I became very sick with diarrhea and persistent stomach issues that completely changed the remainder of our vacation. I can’t say with certainty which meal caused it, but I arrived healthy and became ill after eating at the resort. Four days after returning home, we’re still recovering from gastrointestinal illness. The sister property was no better, offering the same disappointing food, lack of activities, and lifeless atmosphere. The cocktails were poorly made, inconsistent, and often left unfinished. Room service routinely arrived cold and felt anything but luxurious. Another baffling choice was the heated main pool in nearly 90-degree weather. Instead of cooling off, it felt like bathwater. Even with a discount, the spa was overpriced, and $30 USD taxi rides each way made leaving the resort expensive. I’ve attached photos so future travelers can judge for themselves. The room was plain and underwhelming, the bathroom fixtures showed visible corrosion, and even the room service menu reflected the lack of quality, consisting mainly of burgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, and nachos rather than food representative of Mexico or a luxury resort. Before booking, I encourage future guests to read recent reviews and social media comments, not just the promotional photos. After our stay, we found many guests describing experiences similar to ours, including reports of becoming ill. While every situation is different, seeing those recurring stories after our own experience was concerning.
Luxury is more than a five-star label—it’s quality food, thoughtful service, engaging activities, cleanliness, and guests leaving refreshed instead of sick. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and I cannot recommend this resort.
After a 6 day vacation, instead of coming home refreshed, we’re still trying to feel normal again. This was by far the absolute worst vacation experience.

The staff here was absolutely amazing! My husband and I booked the romantic message and the ladies definitely delivered. Isabel and Evelyn were absolutely amazing! They were very gentle and respectful. They decorated the room very beautifully to set such a great atmosphere before the message. Bruno was an amazing host. The staff welcomed up with refreshing iced tea and warm smile. Absolutely loved my experience!

It was -fine-.
Considering I left the compound 3 out of the 5 days I was there should say a lot.
The sargassum can't be blamed on the hotel...
The only dining options outside of dinnertime (when the restaurants are open) is the buffet and the buffet is lacking. I was going to say that at least the breakfast portion is good but on my last day they even screwed that up. Still don't understand how they made waffles that dry. And when the buffet is closed all they offer is a limited "snack menu," and that was the worst cheeseburger I've ever had in my life. Twice. Thought the first time was a fluke...
That said the staff was excellent but there's just so much they can do the aging infrastructure I guess.
Katie DeLuna
We recently stayed at the Princess Yucatán resort in Playa del Carmen, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing overall.
The biggest issue was the beach and seaweed situation. I completely understand that sargassum is a natural occurrence and not something the resort can fully control, and I do appreciate that workers were out there tirelessly shoveling and trying to clear it throughout the day. However, the amount of seaweed was overwhelming. There were literal mounds of it lining the shore to the point where getting into the ocean was nearly impossible. The smell was also extremely strong, like rotten eggs, and it extended far beyond the beach itself. We could even smell it outside our hotel room, which made it difficult to enjoy relaxing outside in the mornings or evenings.
The customer service from several concierge staff members also left A LOT to be desired. One employee questioned me in a rude tone when I asked for extra towels, even though towels were visibly available behind the desk. Another concierge rolled her eyes when I asked about possible room upgrades. Small interactions like these really affect the overall atmosphere of a stay, especially at an all-inclusive resort where guests are simply asking for basic assistance.
While some staff members worked very hard and were friendly, the resort overall did not meet the expectations we had based on the price and reviews. The grounds themselves average (in need of upgrades), but the beach conditions and lack of welcoming customer service made it difficult to fully enjoy our vacation.
I truly wanted to love this trip, but I don’t think I would return or recommend it unless major improvements are made in guest service and travelers are made more aware of the beach conditions during heavy seaweed season.

We had an amazing stay at Margaritaville Riviera Maya! Everything was excellent—from the cleanliness of the resort to the overall atmosphere. The staff truly goes above and beyond, and the service was consistently great throughout our stay.
The food was absolutely delicious with plenty of options, and every meal exceeded our expectations.
A special shoutout to our server, Erick, who was exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made our experience even more enjoyable. His level of service did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated.
We would definitely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

What a fun time. Rooms were great, Staff was EXCELLENT. My wife and I ended up getting fairly sick a couple of days in. Drinks were pretty inconsistent and the Steak House was nothing to write home about. Italian place was really good and the outside restaurant was SOOOO good. Steak and Egg Tacos were BOMB. Domingo was a great bartender and full of life. It was so clean and tidy. The couples massage was pricey, but was probably worth it for everything that we got. The hydro massage was an unforgettable experience (if you're in to sweating and freezing to death in a matter of minutes). Overall we had a pretty good time. Won't go back, but I'm glad we went! Only 50ish% capacity when we were there, and we loved it. Room service was great, but the drink selections (get more White Tequila or Captain Morgan or a little better bottles) were not amazing. Once again, BEAUTIFUL resort with a Fantastic atmosphere and staff!

Recommend you avoid this resort:
The Boat House buffet restaurant had subpar quality food. And when we went in to eat one morning they would not allow my husband in because he had on a t-shirt that had the sleeves cut off. Yet they allowed a woman in wearing a bathing suit with a cover-up - if you could call it that- that was nothing but a few strings and covered nothing!
Most of the restaurants were only open certain days/ times, so very limited eating choices. The steakhouse was good, but with reservations system it is very difficult to get into.
No breakfast was served anywhere before 7am, the coffee shop (food here not included in all-inclusive) was not open till 8am, most excursions leave before that so if you want something to eat before heading out for an excursion you need to get it the day before.
BIGGEST issue: my husband was showering about an hour before we were scheduled to be picked up for return to the airport. Suddenly the water in the shower and bathroom sink started turning BLACK! They sent someone down to figure out why but he had already gotten whatever it was (sewage???!!!) all over him. We weren’t comfortable for weeks after that he hadn’t been exposed to something that would cause health problems. At the front desk they apologized but want us to sign something (waiving our rights for any recourse?) accepting an upgrade if we returned…like that is a possibility- NOT!
Watch out for the Timeshare pitch! We had a terrible time telling them no, they practically stood in the exit way when we wanted out of pitch area.
Now for the few positives:
Bracelet for room entry, etc is a little annoying at first but discovered it was nice to not have to remember a room key every time you went in or out.
Staff for the most part was usually very pleasant, the pool 5 oclock bartenders were fun.
Security is good - you check in & out at the gate, so we felt safe there.

Beautiful resort! Well maintained and modern design. Staff are all wonderful. Too many names to remember but Anthony and Fidel were great servers at the boathouse. Alain and Moises were awesome bartenders. We enjoyed the entertainment at landshark. Our room was the best yet that we’ve stayed in. Thank you for everything!!
Katy Taylor
Breakfast and lunch - Erick, Noel and Max. Such a friendly welcoming every morning. They remember you like friends. Couldn’t do enough for us.
Drinks and bars - main pool we had the brilliant Eliseo, his infectious smile. He made sure we were always hydrated. The brilliant pool waiters and waitresses, I couldn’t fault their hard work.
We also had Alain from landshark and the salted rim bar. He was amazing dancing and singing so friendly. Then the main guy in evenings at salted rim bar, the mixologist was so professional. A great addition to the hotel, I think his name started with ‘Gab’ but he deserves a lot of praise.
Our room was always maintained and cleaned so well - Casandra
The whole hotel was spotless, so tidy and modern. Even cleaning the individual lights outside rooms. I didn’t noticed any rubbish or dirt.
The pool area was always clean and tidy. I never felt unwell once.
The restaurant were okay, they are quite limited and repetitive maybe because we was half capacity on our stay.
The whole resort was great; I’d definitely recommend but as a person who stayed 10 nights it is quite a small resort. I would definitely say this is a short break/ weekend trip which I think a lot of Americans and Canadians do. For us in Uk it is perhaps too small for long stays. But as I said no fault no problems, would recommend.
It does advise there is no beach but I would say you would struggle if you are a beach person. I still enjoyed the small swims in the very warm water on the beach. One day was actually really quite clear in the water. Until the storm

Here is an honest review:
We came in late August, which is the beginning of their off-season. This was good and bad. It was not so crowded, so the lines for restraunts, food, and drinks were almost always short, or non-existent. But we were NOT TOLD it was their off-season prior to booking/purchasing all-inclusive, so we did not know that many/most of the restraunts would be closed/consolidated with eachother.
Casa del Rosas was amazing. Probably some of the best Mexican food you will have here and such a great experience. Can't recommend it enough! If you do, please ensure other people have booked as well. It is such an easy way to make good friends with some of the strangers at the resort.
The hospitality staff here is unmatched. The plants are well manicured. The beaches are clean. The bar tenders and all kind and friendly. The waiters are great.
The check-out process was a little rough. There was no text, email, notification, or paper to let us know about the pre-check out process, or that a shuttle would not be provided back to the airport :(

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a fantastic stay at The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the food exceeded our expectations throughout the resort.
Our favorite dining experience was at Casa de Rosa. The food was outstanding, but what really made the evening special was the exceptional service. Fatima and Wendy were incredible hosts—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel like valued guests and ensured we had an amazing experience from start to finish.
Overall, the service across the resort was excellent, and the staff truly made our vacation memorable. We would definitely recommend The Fives to anyone looking for a relaxing all-inclusive getaway in the Riviera Maya, and we look forward to returning!

We just returned from a fabulous week at the Fives. My family of 6, had 8 other family members join us for the week! My family was upgraded from a 3 bedroom residence to the 3 bedroom penthouse in building 18! It was a beautiful room! We also loved this building and it's location. We were able to see the monkeys playing in the rainforest almost every morning. My other family members has a 2 bedroom residence, and 2 - 1 bedrooms. All of the rooms were close to ours and beautiful as well. Housekeeping service was amazing as always, as well as the people who keep the fridge stocked!
Shout out to the best bartender at the members pool, Jerry! He took wonderful care of the entire family all week!
Our ambassadors were Renata and Andrea, who were both wonderful. They were attentive, considerate and took care of everything! They ensured everyone had reservations they wanted, including allowing all 14 of us to eat together two times to celebrate 3 birthdays. They both went above and beyond, especially Andrea, and we were so grateful to get to know them.
We had wonderful services at the spa by Margot and Flor, we highly recommend both of them.
The food was not as good as I remember on previous trips, however, we loved our meal at Seasons. It was a wonderful experience and the food was exceptional!
My family of 6 had an in-suite dinner on our rooftop on our final evening. Our server, Daniel, and our chef, Cesar, were both top notch. The food was absolutely incredibly, easily one of the best meals of the week! It was a perfect way to end our vacation together.
We have always enjoyed the Fives property and this trip was no different. I appreciate the level of service my entire family received, it was an incredible trip and I am sure we will be back!
James Suckling
In summary? What a place - would absolutely recommend.
The hotel is amazing, very clean, great facilities and a wonderful place to forget the world for a couple of weeks.
The staff are brilliant, with a special mention to Omar who literally couldn’t do enough to help us make our holiday even more special with some great trips and there to help with any questions we had. He’s brought a new meaning to FOMO. It’s now Fear of Missing Omar.
The first room we had was ok, exactly what we’d paid for as a basic duluxe room for two adults and two children. However, it was a bit tired and had no view at all. We asked if we could swap and we upgraded to a one bedroom suite for $80 a night which was worth every dime, cent, penny and pound. The new room was amazing and we’d definitely book that one next time.
The food and drinks were good, as others have said go earlier to avoid queues. The only slight let down was the number of sun beds around the pools, and number of tables and chairs for the evening entertainment. Just aren’t enough for the volume of people staying - and nothing gets done about the ridiculous sun-bed hoggers who put towels out at 6am and turn up for an hour later in the day. Very annoying when there aren’t enough beds in the first place.
Overall, an amazing holiday with so many wonderful family memories. Would recommend without hesitation.

Overall stay was amazing. The food was delicious the service was excellent. You need to arrive to the dining area quite early to accommodate larger groups. Our favourite restaurant was Seasons and La Brasserie.
Our server from the Epic Cabana location named Andrea Dominguez was very attentive and provided amazing service. She was always smiling and made us feel welcome everyday. She constantly asked us what we needed throughout the day. She deserves the recognition. Jannet Pat was also a very good server, she was quick and efficient. Cleaned our plates and cups right away. She too needs recognition for her outstanding services.
Saturday, the pool area by the beach was lively compared to the other days. Better music selection much busier.
Cons: We stayed in room 20105. The room itself was clean and spacious. The housecleaner maintained our room beyond our standards.
A few curtains were broken so they didn’t fully shut. Our mattress was very old and worn out. We were sinking into the bed, we have back aches from it. We will get a massage when we get back home.
The beach was quite rocky. The water was not very swimmable due to the high volume of sargassum.
The shuttle times throughout the resort should be increased as they were always full.

Our first time in Cancun could not have been more perfect at the Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa. The resort atmosphere is beautiful, and the vibes throughout the property are absolutely stunning. We loved the food options here. Over the course of the 7 days, we were able to try a huge variety of different cuisines and dishes. What truly made this trip memorable for us was the incredible staff. We found ourselves constantly requesting and returning to the same wonderful people because of their top notch service. We are honestly so sad to leave because we are going to deeply miss them and their incredible hospitality.
We want to give a massive special shout-out to: Sergio Mendoza, Ivan, Francisco, and Ismael at the World Cafe Buffet for always making our dining experiences so special. Antonio at the Barracuda beach bar for his incredible service and energy. These individuals went completely above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We are already hoping to be back very soon!

We had a lovely week at Dreams Sapphire!
Staff were excellent to deal with, all very pleasant and happy. Pool area was great, although the music could at times be a little too loud.
Beach was nice, but a lot of seaweed. They do clean it every morning but the water wasn’t as clear as I was expecting, though I know this is out of the control of the resort.
Food was all good, nothing spectacular but certainly good.
Restaurants are first come first serve which can sometimes lead to a 1-2 hr wait list time.
A lot of children and families were there during our stay so definitely a family friendly place if that’s something you’re looking for.
Only complaint is our room didn’t get cleaned until 4:30 pm or later daily which was generally the time we were coming back to the room to relax/shower for dinner
Overall we had a great week and we miss Mexico so much!!

We had a phenomenal stay at this hotel because of the staff who treated us like family! When my son's phone dropped in water and we asked for rice, they gave it to us and checked up on our situation. The rooms are also really good because of how it is layed out. When the power went out, the generator kicked in right away and when we called for the water that was not heating up, they sent somebody to fix it right away. The location is about 25 mins from the airport. The beach is not swimmable at this time (June) because of sargassum but the sailboat ride was fun for the kids. The entertainement was enjoyable for any ages - kids has explorer club, pool table, corn hole, clown performers, dancing lessons, silent disco, rock band, salsa night, fire acrobatics show, Junior Master Chef. They also have acrobatics & performers at the pool to keep you entertained all day until night at 11pm. They have shows at night at the theater - dance shows or Mexican presentation. The food options for breakfast was diverse and delicious. The staff at the restaurant was very attentive to our every need. They have ice cream that the kids enjoy until night time. Coffee shop is open until 1am. The pool is not that big but they have water slides and other activites like bike tour (12yo and above), mini golf, and pool activities like water aerobics, yoga that keep us entertained. They have pool table, corn holes, game room or VR room. They have sports bar/dance club and entertainer/singers every night. Overall, this hotel is such a great hotel that I recommend you stay in for the wonderful staff who doesn't wait for any tip but do their best to make you feel like home.
Weez Ten Toes Down
My vacation at the dreams sapphire was not good at all. First my wife and I was unaware of the seaweed situation along the coast line. The beach front was totally covered by seaweeds and the beach water was not accessible!! We had to spend most of our time at the pool which was overcrowded because of the beach situation! Spent more money to leave the resort to go to other islands just to enjoy the ocean water. The air conditioning units were bad!! We had to switch our room twice because the air conditioning units not working properly. Management never accommodated us for the problems we were having. The food was decent but nothing to brag about. The best restaurant is the steak house but the the French restaurant was good as well. Im leaving vacation feeling like I did before I got here needing relaxation!! I would not recommend this resort to anyone. The staff was good and friendly but as far as the amenities they were terrible!! 2.5 stars out of 5 i posted pictures of the beach at the sapphire and some pictures of the other island we went to. The water was night and day

Save your money and stay somewhere else.
This was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel is old, outdated, and in desperate need of renovations. The rooms and common areas feel worn down, and the overall experience is nowhere near what you’d expect from an all-inclusive vacation.
The biggest issue was the constant upselling. From the moment you arrive, the staff is aggressively pushing timeshare presentations and trying to charge you extra for just about everything. Want to eat breakfast in an air-conditioned dining room? Extra charge. Want premium liquor instead of the cheapest options? Extra charge. Want to dine at certain restaurants? Extra charge. Calling this resort “all-inclusive” is extremely misleading because you’ll find yourself paying for things that should already be included.
Another frustrating experience was trying to receive the complimentary full-size bottle of tequila, rum, or vodka that’s included with your stay. We were repeatedly told by staff that they didn’t know anything about it or acted like it didn’t exist. After speaking with what felt like ten different employees, we finally received it. Why should guests have to fight for something they’ve already paid for?
To make matters worse, the resort is about a 50-minute drive from the airport, so you’re spending a significant amount of vacation time getting there, only to be disappointed once you arrive.
Overall, this resort is not worth the money. Between the outdated property, misleading all-inclusive package, aggressive sales tactics, hidden fees, and poor customer service, I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. There are far better resorts that actually deliver the all-inclusive experience they advertise.

The service at this resort is incredible! The rooms were always clean. The food was good.
We had a beach front room. The room itself is outdated, clean but definitely not the nice feeling we have had at other resorts. The crowd is much younger, partying crowd. So if that’s what you’re looking for it’s a great place to PARTY! I feel that’s where all the 5 star reviews come from, younger people that have not traveled a lot.
Will I return to this location, No. But for a friends birthday party for 5 nights it was good.

We had our wedding here, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, every single person treated us with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed.
A very special thank‑you to Kevin, who went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. He made us feel truly welcomed and supported during such an important moment in our lives.
We also want to thank the captains who helped make everything run smoothly:
• José García – in charge of the buffet
• Daniel Tuyub – captain for our wedding and the Asiana restaurant
All the restaurants were wonderful and incredibly accommodating to all food allergies. It was always asked every restaurant we went to.
We also want to give a special thank‑you to Elisa, our wedding coordinator, who helped guide us through every detail and made the whole process so much easier.
And a heartfelt thank‑you to the wonderful lady who performed our ceremony — we unfortunately forgot her name, but she was incredibly warm, kind, and made our moment truly special.
The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable — but what really made our experience unforgettable was the people. They helped make our wedding everything we dreamed of, and we are so grateful for the memories we created here.
Thank you to the entire team for making our special day even more special. ❤️

Our stay at Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and a staff that consistently went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable.
The dining experience was a standout feature of our trip. Every restaurant delivered incredible food with rich flavors and beautiful presentation. Dolma, Pelicanos, and the Chef’s Table were all fantastic and offered unique culinary experiences we’re still talking about. Breakfast at Spice was always a perfect start to the day, and José made each morning brighter with his friendly service and attention to detail.
We also want to give a special shout-out to Antonio, whose beach and poolside service was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and always on top of making sure we had everything we needed to fully relax and enjoy our time by the water. His thoughtful service truly elevated our experience.
What really makes this resort shine is the people. Every staff member we encountered was polite, courteous, and greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello. Their warmth created a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that stayed with us throughout our stay.
We absolutely loved our time at Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food, exceptional service, and a resort filled with genuinely wonderful people. We can’t wait to return!

Had a great stay overall. The staff was fantastic, the front desk team was welcoming and helpful, and the food exceeded expectations. I especially enjoyed the gourmet dining experiences, the coffee shop, Dolma, and Le Chef.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from the lively party area, making it easy to enjoy Playa del Carmen without needing transportation.
The only negative experience happened right after check-in. A VIP services representative approached us and was very helpful at first, but the conversation quickly turned into a very persistent attempt to get us to attend an 8 AM breakfast presentation at another hotel. It was a sales pitch snd not a welcome experience, and she became visibly frustrated when I repeatedly declined.
One thing future visitors should know is that there was a huge amount of seaweed on the beach during our stay, making swimming in the ocean difficult. We ended up taking tours to Cozumel and Isla Mujeres for clearer water. That said, we understand it’s seasonal and not the hotel’s fault. We simply didn’t know what to expect.
Despite those issues, we had a wonderful time and would gladly return on a clean of sea weed month.
Adam
We had such a fantastic stay at Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen for our wedding anniversary.
What we loved most was the balance of the hotel. One day we were at the foam party, then learning to make sushi and then next we were completely relaxing with an incredible couples massage. It really has something for every mood.
The location is perfect as it’s so close to Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) which made it really easy to head out and explore.
The food was excellent throughout the trip. We especially loved Asiana and La Casona, and were genuinely surprised by how good the buffet restaurant Spice was too.
The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was great and it made for the perfect anniversary holiday. We’d definitely come back.

Exceeded every expectation. The service throughout my stay was exceptional — the team went above and beyond at every turn, attentive without being intrusive. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained, and my room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed.
The food and drinks truly set this resort apart. I work in the travel industry and visit all-inclusive resorts 20+ times a year, so I don't say this lightly — the culinary quality and beverage program here genuinely stood out. Thank you to EDR and the entire team for such a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

To start out this is my favorite place in Mexico the amenities and the hospitaly is amazing. From the pick up at the airport to the drop off is such a great experience. I never saw a single person with a frown on the face. Every one treats you so kindly and courteous that it invites you to go back and be in that happy place. The pool is amazing and most of the rooms have a pool in the porch. The first floor lead to the main pool and let me tell you what a pool it is. I love that the kids have so much space to roam and not get bored and put their electronics away. My butler Luis and Israel made my accommodation so much better anything you need they are always there to provide assistance and communication is down to the t. With these guys. The spas are amazing very clean and well taken care off. The food omg the food is so fresh it will satisfy the taste buds of the most critics. So many different places to eat you won't get bored. If you haven't been you should definitely check this place out you will love it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Experience
El Dorado Royale exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel like valued guests, not just another reservation.
I had the privilege of attending the Female Leaders in Travel Conclave during my stay, and it added an incredible layer of inspiration to the experience. The event was hosted by the AMAZING - Señora Delores, whose leadership, warmth and vision made the gathering truly unforgettable. Lomas Hospitality went above and beyond in every possible way to ensure the event and our stay were seamless, meaningful and exceptional.
The grounds are absolutely breathtaking—lush tropical landscaping, beautiful pools and a peaceful adults-only atmosphere that makes it easy to truly relax. Every corner of the resort is meticulously maintained, and there is always something beautiful to discover.
The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of restaurants offering delicious, high-quality meals, making them all memorable. The drinks were equally impressive, and the bartenders and servers consistently went above and beyond.
What truly made our stay special, though, was the staff. Their kindness, attentiveness and genuine smiles created an experience that felt personal from beginning to end. It’s clear they take great pride in making every guest feel cared for.
If you’re looking for an adult getaway, a place to reconnect or simply an escape where you can unwind in paradise, El Dorado Royale is an incredible choice. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning.
Thank you, El Dorado Royale / Lomas Hospitality and Señora Delores for an amazing stay!

This resort is amazing but there are some things to know before you go. First, this is family-owned so things aren't the same as large chain resorts. But the care and attention to detail is top notch!
The rooms are a bit "dark" and lighting could go to be improved. But the rooms are spacious and clean.
If you are a beach person, you won't be thrilled. But you have access to Maroma, which has a beautiful beach. With that being said, there are plenty of pools and the vibe is great!
Where this resort SHINES is food and service. The food is absolutely amazing. If you have an opportunity, splurge and book Fuentes. You won't be sad. But as good as the food is, the service and staff are even better. Everyone truly takes pride in the resort and your stay.
I can't wait to come back to Royale and to experience more of the El Dorado resorts.
Kate Newland
I was so impressed with the food at this resort. I've stayed at multiple all-inclusives, and the food was spectacular at El Dorado Royale. When you go, make sure you go to the dinner theater available. It was such a special experience. Loved hanging out in the pools, and the bartenders made amazing drinks. This service was spectacular. All the workers have a smile and want to make your trip special.

Amazing resort, me and my husband had a wonderful time on our honeymoon. The entertainment workers were amazing and made us feel so welcomed and loved! They really made us enjoy our time and everyday at the pool. WE LOVED Luana, Andres, and Benjamin so much! Food was very yummy, and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We would 100% recommend and will come back again in the future.

It was an absolutely amazing time at El Dorado Seaside Suites!
Luana, Benjamin & Andres provided nonstop activities and entertainment while always bringing top level energy to represent the entertainment/fitness team! From volleyball and aerobics to crafts and bingo, they went above and beyond!
Carlos from the beverage department led a class/activity teaching us how to make a few signature drinks that were delicious. Along with Crisantos, Tiburico and the other bartenders; they insured our days were filled with beautiful and yummy cocktails!
Francisco, Jesus, Victor, and everyone else from “transportation” ensured that we got where we needed to go efficiently, with care & of course some entertainment.
The cleanliness of the entire resort was outstanding and I have not experienced customer service at this level before. Every employee is kind and goes out of their way to ensure you are taken care of and treated with kindness at all times!
We went on two excursions; to the rescue with the cenote and the catamaran with snorkeling. There are not enough words to say good things about both as we all had a blast each day!

An Unforgettable Stay at El Dorado Seaside Suites
Our time at El Dorado Seaside Suites has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed—it was a real home away from home.
Personalized Care:
A massive thank you to our incredible butler team: Carlos, Victor, Angel, and Moses. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their attention to detail, warmth, and dedication made all the difference in our experience. It is rare to find such genuine care, and they made us feel like family throughout our entire visit.
Exceptional Dining & Hospitality:
Beyond the personalized service, the resort experience was top-tier:
Dining: Every meal was a delight, offering high-quality food that exceeded our expectations.
Service: The hospitality across the entire resort was consistently professional and attentive.
We are leaving with wonderful memories and will certainly be recommending this resort to others. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so special!
One of our highlights was bead crafting with Benjamin, Luana, Fernanda on the beach!! Amazing!!

benjamin, luana and andres did such an amazing job at the pool everyday. the activities and games were always fun and entertaining. Cumi was amazing at the swim up bar, super attentive and cool to chat with. All of the staff here were amazing and pleasant and the rooms were always clean and taken care of. Could not have been happier with the stay!

Luxurious Adults-Only Escape - Worth Every Penny!
We stayed at El Dorado in late November a few years back and finally getting around to writing this review! It was worth every penny! Yes, it's pricier than other options, but the level of luxury is unmatched. Being an adults-only resort, it's perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
We absolutely loved our stay. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly kind and made the experience even better. We didn't encounter a single issue during our visit, which is always a huge plus.
Our top-floor corner suite with the infinity pool and breathtaking views was the highlight. Everything was fantastic – the food was amazing and definitely worth the price. We can't wait to return!

The fives ocean front Puerto Morelos is almost perfect ..... First the service and staff are outstanding. Mariel, Diego, Rodrigo, and stepheny in Marley's kitchen were fantastic.
The exterior facilities pools beaches restaurants gym bars are all top notch. The hotel is a small boutique but has more than enough activities for everyone two beautiful clean pools. A beach that has nets and a crew to clean the seaweed that is invading much of the Caribbean. The beach does have biting ants and their are mosquitos so bring bug spray. Otherwise Plenty of cabanas and chairs and great service . The food at Marley's was great. Drinks were weak but they are usually dealing with all inclusive crowd so that's not a surprise. Spa was great with incredible massages. and we even enjoyed a sound bath meditation something I've never done. Everything was priced well not cheap but not expensive
The problem is the rooms. We stayed in room 510. Ocean view suite with balcony and jetted tub. While pretty on the outside and at first glance some details underwhelm and undermine the 5 star aspirations a faint smell of mildew throughout the property and hallways, poor paint jobs on finishes, cheap materials on closets, linens with holes including on blankets and day beds on the balcony. Balcony Jacuzzi needed it's jets cleaned, but also being slow to warm and with weak pressure and painted over controls. We had to have our air conditioner worked on 3x and our room was never cool. Our sliding door to the balcony handle broke and it jammed open unable to close letting in mosquitos and heat. Maintenance did respond quickly.
So in short a fantastic hotel with one glaring issue room maintainince. Room cleanliness was excellent and the staff cleaning dona great job.
Lastly the town of Puerto Morelos is amazing quaint filled with locals and a far cry from Cancun. Must trys are Puerto Knaa, pirata, and the speakeasy

My stay at The Fives Hotel was marvelous! Its location is perfect. Right at the beach and in walking distance to cute shops & cafés. The room was spacious, comfortable, with a fantastic firm bed. The restaurant was delicious and had beautiful ocean views. But the best part of my stay was the hotel’s staff. Erika was my personal concierge and organized fantastic trips for me. She made sure my every wish was fulfilled. Mariel took great care of me as well. And Francisco, the restaurant manager, made sure I was always happy providing me with exceptional food choices. Thank you, Erika, Mariel and Francisco for being the wonderful humans that you are!

Maybe I don't know what to look for in an all-inclusive 5-star resort, or maybe it varies by location, but this was not it. I'm genuinely disappointed this was my first 5-star stay because I've had better experiences at properties with lower ratings.
Room & noise: Zero peace and quiet, day or night. Myself and other guests noted the constant sound of furniture being moved around somewhere in the building. I flagged it to the concierge and nothing was done about it, not even offering a different room.
Broken contract: A free excursion was written into my booking. I emailed them 72 hours before check in to book my excursion and received a response that I have to wait to book at check-n. Ok. At check-in I tried to book an excursion and was told they had to wait until enough guests booked to send out as a group. Totally fine. That never happened across the five days I was there.
Service gaps: The rooftop adult-only deck went without a bartender for most of my stay. Guests at the hotel were taking turns getting everyone's order and going down to the first floor to get refills on drinks and water. It took a wave of complaints before they finally staffed it for one afternoon. Meanwhile, trash had accumulated on the bar and deck, evidence that staff weren't even cleaning the rooftop.
Dining was the biggest letdown: The restaurant hours and info they give you are wrong on nearly every level. I booked this resort specifically for the ceviche and sushi and there was zero sushi the entire stay. When asking about this, I was told I'd booked "out of season"....in June. The menus never vary and it was the same dishes every single night. Ro Marley is not open every night, and three of my five nights, my only options were a terrible Italian restaurant or room service.
Pricing was sketchy: A group of six of us compared notes and every one of us had been quoted different prices for excursions, room service, and the spa. I was charged twice for a single room service order I placed once.
Broken amenities: The hot tubs on the patios don't work. Another issue the group of six of us compared experiences on.
What was good: A handful of menu items were genuinely tasty but the same meals get old 5 days in a row. The staff were friendly overall. The area outside the hotel is walkable and has some options for food and shopping.
Unfortunately, none of that makes up for broken contracts, blatantly false advertising of what they offer, inconsistent charges, and under staffing at every turn. This isn't a 5-star property, and I won't be returning or recommending it.

I cannot recommend this place enough! First off upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff at The 5’s Oceanfront and it was the start to a great relaxing trip. Shortly after we met an amazing staff member named Erica. She was part of the team that helps you lay out your schedule for the time that you are a guest there. She helped us book excursions and was there 24/7 our entire trip to help us have a customized stay to our liking. She gave us many recommendations for things like secluded beaches, places in Puerto Morelos for good food outside of the resort, places to shop, ect. the list goes on and on. I cannot say enough praise that will capture how much help she was for our wonderful anniversary trip.
Everything was top notch at the 5’s. We rented a car in Cancun and it was extremely easy each day to have them grab our car out of valet. We loved that we were able to have a car there and were not charged a fee for having it there on sight. Surprisingly we pretty much had the place to ourselves. There were always so many beach chairs on the beach to lay out in and the pool hardly ever had people in it. They have an adult only rooftop pool that had the most stunning views as well. Both of the pools are beautiful infinity pools with picture perfect views. Our room and everything on the grounds was amazingly beautiful. The staff went above and beyond daily. I cannot say enough good stuff about this place and the staff. We are big world travelers and my husband even had two specific dinner items that he said were top 5 ever for that specific food item, (the lasagna and the ossobuco). All the food was extremely good, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was so nice having all food and drinks be unlimited, as we didn’t have to worry about the bill at the end of each bar run, coffee run, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert run.
The town for shopping was a quick 10 minute walk by beach or road. The entire trip we felt completely safe, as there were national guards all over the place in town, which made us feel safe. My husband and I are not usually resort people, but we would stay at The 5’s Oceanfront again 100%. The 5’s Oceanfront in Puerto Morelos was such a wonderful little hidden gem in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. We will definitely be back!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THE FIVES OCEANFRONT PUERTO MORELOS.
We checked out just one day ago, and this was one of the biggest vacation disappointments we’ve ever had.
The sargassum was so bad that the smell of rotten eggs wasn’t just on the beach—you could smell it from our room. The beach and shoreline were covered in seaweed, making it impossible to enjoy what is supposed to be the main reason people come here. I’ve included photos from our stay so others can see exactly what we experienced.
We understand that sargassum is a natural problem, but what made this trip even worse was how the resort handled it. The staff was rude, dismissive, and acted as if our concerns didn’t matter. We felt like once they had our money, they had no interest in helping or making our stay better.
Please don’t make the same mistake we did. If you’re coming to this area this year for beautiful beaches and clear Caribbean water, stay away from The Fives Oceanfront Puerto Morelos.
Instead, take the ferry to Isla Mujeres and stay at Ixchel Beach Hotel. The difference is unbelievable—crystal-clear turquoise water, beautiful white sand, friendly staff who greet you with a smile, and a much better overall experience at a very reasonable price.
We wish someone had warned us before we booked. Hopefully this review saves someone else from making the same mistake.
Look at the comparison this is from 7/26/26.

As an interfaith wedding rabbi and officiant, I had the privilege of officiating a wedding at Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa, and it was a truly wonderful experience.
One of the things that immediately stands out about Dreams Tulum is the setting itself. The combination of beautiful beachfront surroundings, lush tropical grounds, and thoughtfully designed event spaces creates an atmosphere that feels both elegant and relaxed. It offers the beauty and excitement of a destination wedding while still creating an environment that feels welcoming and personal.
What impressed me most was the professionalism and hospitality of the staff. Weddings involve countless details behind the scenes, especially when guests are traveling from different places, yet the team handled everything with care, organization, and genuine warmth. Their attention to detail helped create a seamless experience for the couple, their families, and their guests.
As someone who has officiated weddings in many different locations, I especially appreciate venues that understand that a wedding is more than simply a beautiful event. It is one of the most meaningful milestones in a couple's life. Dreams Tulum created an atmosphere that honored that significance while surrounding it with extraordinary beauty and hospitality.
Most importantly, the resort allowed the couple and their guests to remain fully present and enjoy the celebration. That sense of ease and joy is one of the greatest gifts a wedding venue can provide.
I would gladly recommend Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa to any couple looking for a destination wedding venue that combines natural beauty, exceptional service, professionalism, and a truly memorable atmosphere.

Overall, as vegans, we found it difficult to find good food options throughout most of the resort. The one major exception was Seaside Grill, where every meal we had was excellent and easily the highlight of our stay.
A huge thank you to the incredible team there: manager Adrian, waitress Yeraldi, and chefs Fernando and Adan. Their service, attention to detail, and warm hospitality were absolutely amazing. They consistently went above and beyond to accommodate us and made us feel genuinely welcome.
On our last night, they prepared a special vegan meal for us, and it was absolutely incredible. It made the evening so memorable and was the perfect way to end our trip. We had the best dining experiences at Seaside Grill because of them, and they truly made a difference in our stay.

We had a great week at the Dreams resort in Tulum. The service was great. We stayed at a Preferred room. The preferred lounge/bar, pool, and beach area had great staff. Salvador went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend the beach or poolside cabana rental. The drinks and food were delicious. We stayed during the last week in April, so the resort was not busy and allowed for easy lunch and dinner reservations.
We traveled with our teenage son and he enjoyed the resort entertainment crew (Ricky) and the evening shows.

Not too far from the main strip in tulum. Cab rides are expensive about 60usd one way. The resort is nice but a bit dated. Facilities could be better.
Raul is an amazing bartender. He makes the best mojitos, probably the best bartender on the resort. Make sure you look for him if you’re visiting .

Gilda at the World Cafe is the best hostess and waitress in the restaurant. she has welcomed us each morning with a big smile on her face. take care of her well because she is a good representative of the hospitality of this resort. excellent employee!

Family wedding here which went wonderfully! I highly recommend it for any family event. We had Cuauhemoc and Reyna who were both truly fantastic and helped make everything work seemlessly. I would ask for them specifically. We loved our room with both a balcony and small pool. The food was all delicious especially Kampai and Santa Fe. Do not miss them. My recommendation though for the resort is to work to empower employees to say yes. We were there when the resort was empty and wanted to sit together but always received pressure even when the restaurants were completely empty.

The location is perfect with it being away from the Hotel Zone. Riviera Maya is absolutely gorgeous. All 3 resorts are well-protected, but in all our times coming here, we have never felt unsafe (even on the excursions.) The food options and quality leave little room for wanting, and I recommend bringing clothing with elastic!! As always, the service and friendliness or the staff is unparalleled. Yalma and Ana were attentive and so kind. We felt unbelievably spoiled and they took care of all 12 of us with attention to every small detail or our stay. They were easy to reach and communicated well with all of us. I cant leave out Cesar (our favorite bartender!) He always makes sure our drinks are delicious and cups are full and with his great smile. Make sure you hunt him down at whatever pool he is bartender that day! You wont regret it. This is our go-to place for any Mexico vacation!

Everything was fantastic. the resort is luxurious and spacious. we came for a family wedding and enjoyed every moment!!
We spent 3 days here and ate at the chef market each day. Angel always greeted us with a big smile and remembered us. Carlos was our favorite waiter. he was so attentive and made sure we didn't lack a single thing. He was also so sweet with our toddler and helped us with ideas for our trip and even taught us a little Spanish. The genuine happiness and smile never left his face.
we appreciate the hospitality and the comfort afforded here.

We had dinner tonight @winekitchen and it didn’t disappoint! The manager Aketzali was so welcoming and our waiter Eriberto was AMAZING! The food was Spectacular, the chef stopped by our table to check on us after my husband requested his steak to be cooked a bit more. It was our daughter’s birthday and they brought out a birthday dessert and got the entire restaurant to sing happy birthday.
This will continue to be one of our go- to dinner spots when we return. Thank you wine kitchen for a wonderful experience!

Generations is a wonderful hotel, it has everything. I loved that you have your own mini pool in the balcony of your room and sea view of course!
Great food, great tours, special price for Nickelodeon resort if you travel with kids! Overall, an excellent service from the people there. Ruben was our outstanding exceptional concierge, everyone is very helpful. Israel excellent waiter at the palms!
Only sad thing is that you can't go to the beach but because all of cancun has a lot of sargazo.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and our room was spotless, clean and always tidy. Whenever we needed anything, our requests were handled quickly and efficiently 😍
A special thank you to the concierge team, especially Aimee, who was kind very helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond to organise a wonderful surprise for our 10th wedding anniversary, which truly exceeded our expectations. Her thoughtfulness made our celebration even more special.
The service throughout our stay was exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be coming back.
Thank you to everyone for making our anniversary so memorable! ❤️

Came here with my family last week and stayed on the Heaven side. The resort was super clean and the food was exceptional. Must try restaurants are Umo, Wai, & Frida. The service we experienced was phenomenal. To highlight, Daan from Frida was the absolute best. He knew so much about the dishes they offered and took the time to recommend his favourites and provided us with service that we will never forget. Ricardo, one of the poolside servers was spectacular. He checked on us every 15-20 minutes and was by far the best poolside server we had during our stay. What made our trip OUTSTANDING were the entertainment staff at the main pool. Kevin, Axel, Poncho, Luna, and Hector were the BEST. We have never experienced something like this, but being around them in the pool, participating in their activities and trivia, and just getting to talk to them made our week. We will never forget their attentiveness towards our family. Thank you for such an amazing family vacation!
Maria
We had one of the best vacation experiences, as this hotel truly lived up to our expectations. We always received excellent service from the staff whenever we needed assistance resolving an issue or simply required services across the various areas—including the restaurants, pool, courtyards (Red and Blue), café, and bar, We would like to highlight the service provided by Ms. Angela (waitress in the Blue and Red Patio).
We experienced some issues with transportation and a tour we took to Isla Mujeres, but fortunately, the general manager handled the situation, providing us with quick and effective solutions:
We were moved to a different room to compensate for these incidents, and we were much more comfortable.
Overall, we were satisfied with the daily attention we received; the staff would call or write to us to ensure we were getting the best possible care. Thank you very much!

We had an amazing vacation at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya! The resort is absolutely beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the location was perfect. From the moment we arrived until after we returned home, the staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.
One thing that really impressed me was how honest and caring the staff was. At checkout, I accidentally left my jacket behind. When I contacted the hotel, they had safely stored it for me, which showed how trustworthy they are.
Another example of their outstanding service happened when my daughter developed a rash after swimming in the ocean because of the seaweed. We asked if the resort had a medical team, and they responded immediately. They provided a cream that helped her feel much better, and we were so grateful for how quickly they took care of her.
The biggest surprise came after we had already left. My daughter accidentally left behind her baby blanket and favorite stuffed animal. We realized it at the airport and called the hotel right away. The staff found both items, kept them safe, and even arranged international shipping back to the United States. A couple of weeks later, the blanket and stuffed animal arrived at our home. That level of customer service is truly exceptional.
One recommendation I have for anyone visiting is to bring some cash for tips. Even though the resort is all-inclusive, the servers, bartenders, housekeeping staff, and everyone else work incredibly hard to make your vacation special. Even a dollar here and there is appreciated. Just because your meals and drinks are included doesn't mean the staff doesn't deserve recognition for their outstanding service. We tip restaurant servers in the United States, and I believe these hardworking employees deserve the same appreciation.
This was one of the best vacation experiences we've ever had. The beautiful resort, excellent food, clean rooms, and incredible staff made all the difference. I highly recommend Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation. We will definitely be back!

Went with group of 14. We stayed on the adult side most of the time during the day. The pool was beautiful and the activities provided were a lot of fun. We really enjoyed hearing good rock music most of the day. We enjoyed the food and the drinks were made well. If something wasn’t to our liking, we just got something else or had the bartender modify… very simple. Some of the dinners provided small portions, but that was okay, because we could just order more. The service was spectacular especially the service I received from my butlers Diego and Naef. At first, I didn’t want a butler, but after the week was done, I don’t think l’d ever go to a Hard Rock again without one. Our chairs were held in the morning, our dinner reservations were taken care of each day and they made it a point to check on us in person at least once a day. They were super nice and would bend over backwards for us. I highly recommend Hard Rock Riviera Maya!

This resort truly exceeded all my expectations. It was a birthday trip and they sent a birthday dessert to me and had a birthday banner on the door. The room was spacious with a wonderful view. The all-inclusive experience was new to me, and while it took a moment to adjust to not paying for meals, I quickly embraced the convenience of having everything included. A particular highlight was the ability to dine at any restaurant without needing reservations. The cafe's food, though a bit bland, but not terrible. Room service was excellent, and the staff were consistently wonderful. They also have live entertainment in the lobby and also in the entertainment room. My only minor concern was that guest services were not available 24 hours a day; when I called later in the evening, I was placed on hold with music multiple times.

Secrets The Vine Cancun – An Unforgettable, Impeccable Escape
From the very first moment we arrived, it was abundantly clear that Secrets The Vine Cancun operates on an entirely different level of hospitality. Ruben, who greeted us at the very beginning of our stay, was nothing less than outstanding and consummately professional — his warmth and attentiveness set an exquisite tone for the entire vacation, and it was evident that genuine care for guests is woven into the culture of this resort.
Our personal butler, Sebastian, elevated our experience beyond anything we could have anticipated. He went above and beyond at every conceivable opportunity, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them and ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless, luxurious, and deeply memorable. His thoughtfulness transformed an already beautiful trip into something truly extraordinary.
I also have to give a heartfelt and enthusiastic mention to Ceaser , our waiter, whose service bordered on magical. On more than one occasion, he had my mojito perfectly prepared and waiting for me before I had even settled into my seat — an almost uncanny level of attentiveness that left us thoroughly impressed and grateful.
Beyond these standout individuals, the entire staff at Secrets The Vine exuded professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. The service throughout the resort was impeccable, and the culinary offerings were nothing short of spectacular — every meal was crafted with care, flavor, and an obvious passion for excellence.
Secrets The Vine Cancun isn't just a hotel and spa; it's an immersive, indulgent experience delivered by a team that clearly takes immense pride in their work. We left feeling pampered, cared for, and already planning our return.
Five stars, without hesitation. Thank you, Ruben, Sebastian, Ceaser , and the entire team for an unforgettable stay.

We stayed at Secrets The Vine Cancun and booked the Honeymoon Room with Preferred Club. Based on the photos, we expected a true five-star luxury experience. While the hotel is beautiful at first glance, it’s clear that the property is showing its age and could really use some renovations. Many areas looked worn, and the windows throughout the resort were noticeably dirty.
One of the perks of our package was access to the Preferred Club concierge on the 21st floor. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing part of our stay. The private check-in area felt more like being brought into a small closet than a luxury welcome lounge. There was a private bar and buffet, but when we arrived, the buffet was almost empty and didn’t look appetizing at all. It definitely wasn’t the premium welcome experience we were expecting.
The biggest highlights of our stay were the staff and the food. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. The restaurants were excellent, and the food was consistently delicious. Dining was by far the best part of our vacation.
Overall, while we enjoyed the outstanding service and exceptional restaurants. With some renovations and more attention to the Preferred Club experience, it could be an amazing resort again.
Charles Park
Highly recommended. I’ve come here twice with family. Last year we stayed four nights in October. This year we planned a five night stay in August.
Staff are very friendly and cordial, and helped me feel welcome across all my interactions at the front desk, bars, coffee stand, restaurants, and room service.
Food and beverage, including the cocktails, has been exceptional throughout both stays. My favorite so far is the Italian restaurant and the Market cafe for Mexican cuisine. I especially enjoyed all the seafood dishes. We also ordered room service a couple evenings—-the room service food was just as delicious, especially the salmon, and both times delivered in a timely manner.
The gym/fitness center was well-stocked with towels, different naturally flavored water (e.g. cucumber, lime, etc.) varying each day to keep us hydrated, and sanitation measures. It is evident the staff take a great deal of care to keep the amenities clean, and that attention to detail even for an amenity that is not as popular compared to the pool area, was very much appreciated.
I also liked that they have a board game area in the lobby. Nice little touches to make the stay more convenient with things to do.
Needless to say, the swimming pool area and jacuzzi were well maintained, including open pool bars. To top it off, there was some unexpected live entertainment in the middle of the day, such as a dive show with six performers. I don’t expect this to be common but it was nice I was able to catch it.
It was a highly needed period of rest and this venue has delivered what I needed. Given the right circumstances I would like to come back in the near future.

Me and my partner stayed at Secrets The Vine at the end of June. We had a fabulous stay here and would love to visit again.
We booked the preferred package. You have access to the 12th floor pool, specifically for preferred guests. There are 3 more pools at the hotel however the 12th floor pool was more quiet and relaxing which is what we wanted. For a more lively atmosphere they did have activities everyday by the main pools.
Rooms were spacious, the bed was so comfortable and views were amazing, nothing like waking up and watching the sunrise on your balcony.
Room service was really easy to order on the tablet in the room. A wide selection of food and drinks, it tells you how long it will take and great service that they will call the room to confirm your order.
Our favourite restaurants were Dragon (East Asian) and Olio (Mediterranean). The buffet for breakfast and lunch were also good, a lot of options. With the preferred package you can have breakfast at Olio, sitting outside and some different items on the menu compared to the buffet.
Special mention to Miguel who was working The Vine bar , such an attentive and professional barman. Veronica and Juan serving the preferred pool were also great, nothing ever too much trouble, they really looked after us. Sebastian, our concierge, was also very professional and kept in contact with us throughout our stay. In general, all the staff we encountered were lovely and all service was with a smile.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Service & Even Better People!
We had such a great experience, and a huge part of it was because of the incredible staff!
A special shout-out to Miguel, Ignacio, Marcos, and Rosario at the pool area. These guys were absolutely amazing! They always went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Before we could even think about needing something, somehow they were already there 😂. Great service, great personalities, always smiling, joking around, and making us feel like family instead of just guests.
They definitely made our days by the pool even better. Honestly, we’re not sure if we came to relax by the pool or just to hang out with them! 😂🍹
Also, a big thank you to Alan at Helios Restaurant. Amazing service, very attentive, friendly, professional, and always made sure everything was perfect. He really made our dining experience special.
People like Miguel, Ignacio, Marcos, Rosario, and Alan are what make a vacation memorable. Great service is one thing, but making guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for is something different — and they absolutely did that.
Thank you guys for taking such great care of us. We’ll definitely remember you and hope to see you all again on our next visit! 🙌🌴🍹

Partner and I have been here three times now and it's always fantastic. Even though we couldn't go in the ocean at all this week, and there was rain a few days, we still had a great time. The restaurants can be hit or miss (we would avoid the French restaurant, the Italian is okay), but most of the meat-focused restaurants are good. El Gaucho has been hands-down our favorite, and Helio's is literally our favorite breakfast spot in the world - healthy (I usually have meats and cheeses and fresh fruit alongside yogurt w fruit, but there are plenty of less-healthy but delicious treats), incredibly tasty, really good coffee, etc.
The pools and bars are great, and if you can speak any Spanish at all, the staff seem to really appreciate it. That leads to the best part about this place - the people here are *awesome*. The service - from the beaches to the pools to the restaurants, etc - is absolutely 10/10 and has been every single time, and is a big part of why we come back (and will continue to do so).
Huge shout out to the Pool Butler Enrique C. - he remembered us from our last trip (as did a few others!) and made every trip to the beach - a mostly-daily occurance - an absolute pleasure. One of the highlights of the trip. Arjelia at the La Terazza bar was also fantastic and we had some great conversations.

TRS Staff is amazing and accommodating. The TRS Golf cart people are amazing. Many thanks to Uriel, Islas, and Hector that made it a point to remember our names and always say hello and good bye. The restaurant staff, especially Antonio, made my birthday the best day ever with our private dinner. He then invited us to join him at the french restaurant La Boheme. Amazing food and service. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you Paola and Samuel for being our villa butler staff and for always making sure our stay was perfect.

Although my stay was last March for a wedding, I realized I never took the time to leave a review—and I absolutely had to because our experience was exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, every detail exceeded expectations. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, the food was outstanding, and the level of service throughout our stay was truly impressive.
I especially wanted to recognize David Galicia from the bell staff. He was attentive, professional, friendly, and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Small gestures and great service make such a difference, and David helped make our stay memorable.
Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. Even months later, we still talk about what a fantastic stay it was. Highly recommend!

Our stay was awesome! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a tropical paradise. The resort is beautifully integrated into the surrounding nature. Whether we were walking the grounds, relaxing by the pool, or heading to the beach, it always felt like we were immersed in the beauty of nature. But what truly made this trip unforgettable was the staff. Every single person we encountered was genuinely warm and welcoming. You can tell they take great pride in what they do. Their kindness never felt forced, just was authentic. I could literally shout out/compliment every single staff member we met, BUT I have to give a special shout out to our butlers Jessica, Jose, and Patricia and our housekeeper Diana. Most importantly, I have to thank our favorite golf cart drivers, Eduardo and Lionel! They were the absolute best and made our trip even better!

We have travelled to 5-star all-inclusive resorts all around the world, including 4 others in Mexico. Paradisus Playa del Carmen went so far ABOVE AND BEYOND expectations!!! This was a true 5-star resort experience in every way! Firstly, the staff are PHENOMENAL! They are extremely professional, but also so kind, friendly, and genuinely interested in getting to know you. They also seemed really happy and relaxed! Lots of times they would joke around with us, join in a game at the pool, or take time to chat with us or teach us words in Spanish. Amelia, Deysi, and Maria at the coffee shop were amazing!! Gustavo in excursions was so helpful and gave us lots of good ideas for our next trip too. Marco in Lemon Fish had us cracking up laughing, and we learned new things about Mexican culture from him. There are too many shout-outs to name! Overall, we felt that the hotel and staff really cared about us, and they did far more than needed to make our stay outstanding!! Secondly, this hotel is HEAVEN for kids! There were so many little touches that were geared towards making kids happy, from the candy bar at the check in, to the hidden room with gaming stuff, the ice cream shop, and kids buffets at some of the restaurants… they absolutely loved it! It made our vacation so much smoother. This was also a resort where we felt very comfortable giving tweens more independence to go by themselves and have fun. They made a ton of new friends, loved the freedom, had an absolute blast, and the staff always had a kind eye out for them (ex. bringing back a lost phone to the front desk). The large and winding pools were a huge plus, as it accommodated different moods. Also, full adult access to La Perla meant we had the best of both worlds— family friendly on one side, adult chic on the other. The food was really good! All we can say is THANK YOU!! GRACIAS!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Paradisus! The resort amenities, service, and atmosphere were top-notch, but the staff truly made our vacation unforgettable.
A massive shoutout to Darlene at the sports bar, she is hands-down the best! She took incredible care of us, brought amazing energy, and constantly hooked us up with the coolest, most delicious creative shots throughout our stay. She made every bar visit a total highlight of our trip.
If you're staying here, make sure to find Darlene for a drink! We can't wait to come back!

What an incredible resort! Highly recommend for any family's looking for an incredibly getaway with young kids. The food (especially dinners) were incredible, the staff everywhere went above and beyond, and the resort is stunning - both beautiful and spotless.
It is well worth the short drive to get away from the insanity of Cancun to this much more relaxed and less crowded spot. The water park and kids club were both huge hits for the kids and we so appreciated all the mini-events throughout the day for kids as well as the awesome shows each night.
The family concierge was a great option for us too. Our concierge Erika Hernandez was truly amazing in every way.
Eduardo Salazar
This was our third year staying here, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. This hotel has become our favorite place to truly relax and disconnect as a family.
One of the things we appreciate most is how incredibly accommodating the staff is with our children’s multiple food allergies. Traveling with dietary restrictions can be challenging, but the concierge service and restaurant team consistently go above and beyond to make us feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
This year, we would especially like to give a huge shout-out to Carmen from Lunch Box Restaurant. She provided truly exceptional service throughout our stay. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made a lasting impression on our family and elevated our experience even further.
Thank you for another memorable vacation. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to families looking for outstanding service and a stress-free experience.

Our family stay at Paradisus Riviera Maya with the Family Concierge package was phenomenal. Booking reservations in advance via the app made everything completely seamless. We travel with a 11 year old and 7 year old. Our 11 year old is obsessed with the cool teen/video game room behind the Murphy door at the front of the sort. The kids club (Kidsdom) and daily activities are fantastic, and the nightly entertainment is top-notch—complete with a wonderfully air-conditioned theater, thoughtful snack stations during the shows, and great DJs who keep the energy high every night. A five-star experience from start to finish!

We had a wonderful stay at this resort! The main hosts, Charlie Brown and Yale, were absolutely amazing. They were friendly, energetic, and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy getting to know the guests.
There were plenty of activities throughout the day and evening, including water aerobics, karaoke, bingo, and other fun activities that made it easy to meet people and keep everyone entertained.
My only real criticism would be the late-night bar access from the pools. The staff were accommodating, but we’ve stayed at other resorts that made this a little more convenient.
If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation with fun activities during the day and a more laid-back atmosphere in the evenings, it’s perfect—and honestly, that’s exactly what we were looking for.
We also booked a swim-up room, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip. Since we traveled with a large group, having our own private pool access gave us a peaceful place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time together.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

The resort is beyond amazing. I have enjoyed the stay that my significant other and I have had. Within the resort, there is a section/lobby called The Moon. Within the lobby, there are a lot of events that are held, in which include amazing staff (I.e., Sexy Joy & Charlie Brown).
I have a lot of good to say about the resort. My significant other and I went around June, so there was a lot of Sargassum on the beach, however, that did not inhibit our great stay there. Highly recommended
Carlos, our great butler, also attended to us amazingly. He is a very presentable young man who makes sure everyone is going great and having a good time at the resort. He stays in touch really well and communicates amazingly. He has helped us during our stay there, in Haven.

We came to the Haven Riviera to celebrate our 12th Anniversary and had an extraordinary time. This is our fourth All-Inclusive in Mexico and by far our all-around favorite.
Everything from location (close to the airport), to a stunning, mature property, a great gym, beautiful restaurants and amazing food! The sunrise in the beach every morning was a highlight.
But the staff truly made our time so memorable.
Angel from entertainment was always so warm and energetic. He found us almost every day by the pool with a big smile on his face and invited us to events or partiesl happening that day. He was also an excellent host at the Neon Show.
William from Limes was our favorite bar-tender! He made the BEST drinks I’ve ever had and had spot-on recommendations.
Julian took care of us every day at the pool and also made great suggestions for new drinks.
And our favorite server at Flavours was Enrique. So warm and kind and always on top of it.
We loved our time and this is the first time we are considering coming back to a resort because of how incredible it was.
Robert Hoover
Not our first time in Cancun, but our first time at this property. Very nice, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
The highlight of our trip was our service at the Serenity pool bar.
Our bartenders Luis Colunga and Ricardo went above and beyond every day to make sure we got personalized and amazing service. From the custom drink requests to the great conversations, they made our stay wonderful…….we give them both a 10/10.
Will return again soon!

We stayed here for 10 days for our honeymoon. We were really impressed with the food, service and cleanliness of the resort. From the moment we walked into the resort we were greeted and served refreshments which felt very welcoming. We also really appreciated the pool concierge Degner. He helped my husband when he needed first aid which was so appreciated. Degner checked in on us throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. He is friendly and definitely made our stay feel more welcoming and cared for.

The Italian Restaurant - Breakfast
My boyfriend and i were trying to find a nice breakfast/brunch restaurant for our anniversary in the morning. When i say the food, ambiance and the staff were top tier. 10/10 recommend. Louisa and Omar made sure our experience was great. Mimosas after mimosas and then i even ordered the strawberry mimosa. The restaurant was clean and beautiful. The best table in the house is the center circle table in the back. Right infront the collection of wine bottles and a beautiful view outside with palm trees. We are definitely coming back for lunch and dinner while we stay here.

Me and my group of 5 girls went to this resort to celebrate my bachelorette. We stayed for a total of 5 nights, 6 days.
I wanted to come on here and let everyone who is interested in thinking about staying at this resort, BOOK THIS AMAZING PLACE!
I book resorts all the time in Cancun and this is by far the best experience I had when it comes to cleanliness, customer experience, food, entertainment.
We book the junior suit which was facing towards the forest (building 1) but we managed to still have a very clear view of the beaches and the sunrise.
We were assigned our butler STEFANO! He was 11/10, everytime we needed something or request, his respond time was immediate. He always checked up on us everyday and went over and behind to even help with our friends room when he wasn’t even their assigned butler. If you are looking for a butler, please request for him, you won’t be disappointed.
Food: this resort is by far the best food variety especially Mexican food. Most resorts would mainly cater towards Italian, American or Asian food with very limited Mexican dishes. Here at this resorts there were several Mexican dishes we heard online but never seen at other resorts expect for this one. They had dishes from tamales, Mexican chips, mole etc etc. very good options of food.
The only downside I would say about this resort would be the main pool, the two pools are lovely pool and infinity pool (located in the adult side). As they are considered a main pool, the pool is very small and hard to do activities such as water zoomba and volleyball. Because those people that don’t want to do those activities will be pushed to the corner to accommodate the activities.

Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a beautiful trip! The beach is beautiful and the pools are excellent! Overall, the service and the people that make this place run are amazing! EXTRA SPECIAL shoutouts deserve to go to Martinez and Eliut at the Soothe swim up bar for making that a wonderful experience as part of our swim out suite! They were fun, professional, and make excellent drinks! The Italian restaurant service was the only time we felt overlooked- we went during both breakfast and dinner hours. Otherwise the steakhouse and the Mexican restaurant have fantastic service staff who were VERY attentive with everything. The room cleaning staff turned our room over 2-3 times per day and they were fantastic. The food overall provided a great variety of options with decent quality for an all inclusive. The only tweak we would make would be to add a dedicated coffee bar/shop on site as the one now is part of the piano bar and the coffee drinks feel like an afterthought. The late night McJestic has something special with Guadalupe at the healm- delicious food and such a sweet guy! Overall, we loved our experience and would recommend it!
EDDIE SIMPSON
The Majestic Elegance was Elegant as its name states!
The Staff was friendly, kind and helpful in every way, everyday!
The plethora of food options was appreciated, even a bit overwhelming.
I loved that they had places to get snacks and food throughout the day, just hated that you couldn't take them in Togo plates back to your room, or togo cups for my smoothies (so maybe they need to add that to the togo menu on some way).
Tons of weddings taking place everyday, but wish they had prepared better for my friends wedding because the food got rained on due to a storm coming in and their reception being outside.... someone should have definitely been in charge of watching the weather and addressing the food... too much money spent to not!
Room was spacious, beds were comfortable and the free restock of room water, drinks and snacks each morning was greatly appreciated!
Each day comes with an assortment of activities, giving the resort a cruise ship feeling.
Great hotel, would go again!
vhernandez “lvhernandez526” g
Overpriced for what it offers. The hotel is very average and small. For a 5-star property, they do not offer premium liquor, and the minibar in our room was never refilled.
In the family area, there are no food stations near the pool, which is inconvenient. In our room, the bathroom had no water at night, which was very disappointing.
The Kids Care area is quite small; however, the two ladies who work there do an excellent job. They organize many activities and crafts, both in the Kids Care area and at the main pool.
Overall, the staff is very kind and helpful.
I would rate it 2 out of 5 because they still have a long way to go to truly meet 5-star standards.

This place is fantastic! From the food to views it’s spectacular! What impressed me the most was the staff, everyone seemed so passionate about their work and eager to help. Especially Gio/Giobellis she is multi talented, from the way she danced for so long with so much energy while leading the pool dance. To the way she switched from English to Spanish effortlessly whilst she was leading the trivia. When leading trivia she brings her own special style and vibe. In my life I have travelled to over 15 countries and I’ve never seen someone so hardworking, energetic, multi talented , and passionate. She should be hosting all the digit bar activities!

We had a wonderful experience at Copal Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and everything was prepared perfectly.
A very special thank you to Rodolfo, Olivia, and Supervisor Cruz for their outstanding service. They were extremely attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Excellent food, amazing flavors, and exceptional service. People like Rodolfo, Olivia, and Cruz truly make a difference and made our experience at Copal even more enjoyable.
Thank you for taking such great care of us. Highly recommended!

Ava Cancun is a great resort and a must visit in Cancun. It's close to the airport but feels like you're totally separate from the world - it is its own mini city! We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. The food is great and the service is impeccable, especially the poolside service. All the servers are kind, helpful, and very attentive. The nightly shows are very entertaining and great for the whole family. We especially loved the magician and the LED show.
Everyday at 2pm I took part in the poolside art classes and they were a great way to get out of the sun for a bit while creating a memorable souvenir. Honourable mention to the entertainment staff, I don't know all their names but huge shout-out to Samantha who is truly an ANGEL! Myself and my kids love her. She really made our stay memorable. We also love Tony, Issac, and Alex. I'm sorry if I didn't mention everyone's name but they are an amazing team!
Anyways, of you're looking for a hotel in Cancun, Ava is IT! You won't regret it.

Our first impression of AVA Resort Cancun has been amazing! The property is absolutely enormous, beautifully designed, and incredibly relaxing.
For our first night, we had dinner at BAO, and it was the perfect way to start our vacation. A huge thank you to our wonderful butlers, Estefania and Abraham, for arranging our reservation and making everything seamless. Our server at BAO - Joel, provided exceptional service—attentive, friendly, and truly made our dining experience unforgettable.
We’ll definitely be coming back, and we’ll be looking for Joel again! Highly recommend both the resort and BAO for an outstanding experience.

The resort overall is great! There are a lot of pros with some cons. The pros: the facility is clean, overall nice staff, everything being in the main building is a plus, very modern, and the food is good. We tried Livo, Kita, and black iron and the food was good and their staff was goos too, bonus the aesthetic is very nice and thoughtful. Aroma cafe was a favorite too, very convenient. The ice cream shop is a nice addition too, and it is aesthetically nice as well.
The cons:
- The room's bathroom is ok but could be better (more modern and upgraded)
- THE FAMILY POOL was our main disappointment, since the beach is bad it is expected everyone to be at the pool, however the family pool gets congested so fast, it's not fun after like 10 or 11am. The other pools are either for legends members or adult only, and then there is the huge bay in the middle, which i found very underwhelming and unnecessary, i wish it would be turned into a big family pool instead.
- I wish there were chairs on the balcony instead of the couch.
- The buffet is good overall, one downside is the pastas, they are always very watery. I think thats the only thing that needs improvement.
Must try:
Copal tacos
Paninis at Aroma
Ice lattes at Aroma
Hot dogs at lunch buffet
Steak house spaghetti at Black Iron
Beef empanadas at Black Iron
Carrot cake at Aroma
Ice cream at konos
Dessert at Livo

I always recommend Hard Rock Hotels to all my friends and Family, as mentioned before this is the 3rd time visiting Hard Rock Cancún with my family and friends. Excellent Service, Professional Team, Excellent Food. Today we saw the Chef Manuel (Muñeco) at Frida Restaurant. He is a good friend for years, always give us a VIP attention. Also Rodrigo (Restaurant Captain), ask for them to have a great experience. We have been at Hard Rock Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Maya, Cancun, Dominican Republic, Miami. We had the greatest time here at the Hard Rock Cancun. Michael and Manuel were helpful and amazing. Tacho who works at the pool helped us with everything. He made our experience even greater. All the restaurant workers one being Hector were also amazing offering the greatest customer service. All in all everyone was wonderful and we are looking forward to coming back here.

Amazing stay at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun! The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the beach was beautiful.
A special thank you to Dixie from the Entertainment Team, whose energy, kindness, and enthusiasm made our vacation even more fun and memorable.
We also had an excellent dining experience at TORO. Marini Fernando, Santos, and Jaqui provided exceptional service, making our dinner truly special with their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality.
We would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing! After booking a resort down the road that turned out to be terrible with mold on our food, the Hard Rock welcomed us like family making sure we had the best family experience.
The food was great and the outdoor venue with nightly shows had some of the best entertainment!
Andi, Mary and Ale amazing in the Roxcity kids club! Their attention to the kids and entertainment is next level making sure everyone feels included and has a great time. My daughter loved playing there and so did my older son on the pool table and video games!
We would absolutely do another family vacation here!

We had a wonderful stay at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun! The resort is beautiful, with stunning ocean views and comfortable, modern rooms. Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained.
What stood out most was the incredibly warm and welcoming staff also the wonderful waiting staff at Restaurante Frida. From arrival to departure, they were friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for. The service was outstanding, always smiling and going the extra mile.
Great food, pristine beach and pools, and a fun vibe made it the perfect vacation. We’ll definitely be back!

Writing this while currently in resort. Good thing is golf carts, service at the pool side. Everything else is worst, avoid this place as much as possible.
Rooms are not great, pretty old property. Yesterday there was water break in the room, they change the room and reprogrammed our keys for new room. After reaching to room our keys not working. They took 35 mins to send someone who again struggle to open initially. After multiple calls by him to office he was finally open it. The staff who was here didn’t know English so against communication was challenge . The staff who was picking phone hangs in two mins, transfer call to front desk, no one there to pick. Chatted in the app for no help. They said manager will call back but no one actually did. Note front desk is not near you have to go lobby by golf cart. Overall still unsure about not being locked out.
Good cart staff good. House keeping is very good. Front desk is very unwelcoming. Most of staff not able to speak English so you had to use phone to translate.
Food is below average (vegetarian options). Room credit is not useful anywhere. Give you an example spa only use 50 while without credit you get 40% discount which better. Overall credit is a trap. They can infect give you any amount as credit but you can’t use it.
I am not going to stay in palace properties any where. Take your decision informed.
Update: It got worse asking question at front desk led to scare. Went to public relation team already. While lock works great today evening thank god. Not much help.

Our recent stay at the Moon Palace Grand Resort was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the level of service, attention to detail, and professionalism shown by the entire team.
I would especially like to recognize Felix and Raul (butlers), Alexander (housekeeping), Pedro, Karen, Mel, Jose, Julio, and Gilmer (bar tenders at the main lobby and Diamond lounge) Miriel (concierge), for their outstanding service. It is evident that they set a very high standard for both hospitality and guest experience. Their professionalism, warmth, and commitment to ensuring guests have an unforgettable stay truly stood out.
The entire staff reflected that same level of excellence, which speaks volumes about the leadership behind the scenes. Every detail of our stay was handled with care, and we consistently felt welcomed, valued, and well taken care of.
We have stayed at many resorts, but this experience genuinely stood out, as it has the past 3 years. It is clear that The Moon Palace Grand takes great pride in the resort and in creating an exceptional experience for guests. We would happily return as we just became residential members and we have highly recommend this resort to others. Please pass this along to everyone involved, and thank you Ricardo as well for everything. Until next time...we love you all!!!

Our stay at Moon Palace ended up being a bittersweet experience, and I think it’s important to share both the positives and negatives.
The good:
Edrei at reception was kind and helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with a room upgrade upon arrival and also helped arrange a late check-out, which we truly appreciated.
The food was good overall, and thankfully nothing caused any issues. The bartenders, waiters, and service staff were generally friendly and attentive.
The hotel app also worked very well. We used it to order food, request hygiene items, and communicate with the concierge through the internal chat, which was convenient and efficient.
The bad:
Unfortunately, the negative aspects were significant.
From the moment we arrived, we felt pressured to schedule a visit to The Grand. It felt less like an invitation and more like being pushed into attending, using a day pass, and eventually agreeing to whatever was being offered. We spent about 30 minutes after check-in explaining to the concierge that we simply wanted to enjoy the stay we had already paid for, but the persistence became exhausting.
What made it worse was that the concierge spent considerable time explaining The Grand while barely taking any time to explain Sunrise, which was the property we were actually staying at. I understand sales efforts are part of the business, but this felt excessive and uncomfortable. On top of that, we were asked very personal questions such as when we were getting married and why we didn’t have children, which felt completely inappropriate.
The second issue was much more serious.
We attended a wedding at Nizuc, and the wait staff accidentally threw away my partner’s insulin pen. My partner has Type 1 diabetes, so this is not just a personal item — it is essential medication.
The staff at Nizuc apologized and directed us to Public Relations to resolve the issue. We explained everything to Linda in Public Relations, who told us they could help us obtain a replacement medication, but that the hotel would not cover the cost.
The replacement cost was approximately $70 USD, and honestly, paying for it was never the issue. What concerns me is the lack of professionalism and common sense behind throwing away a guest’s medication and then refusing to take responsibility for it.
To me, situations like this define the difference between a luxury hotel and an average one.
The insulin itself is not just another item — for my partner, it is literally the difference between life and death. Linda simply delayed the situation, saying that if the hotel were to take responsibility, an investigation would need to be opened and that it would take time. There seemed to be little interest in showing empathy or urgency beyond offering to call a pharmacy.
This happened one day before our departure, leaving a very bitter ending to what could have otherwise been a good experience.
Thank you for the positive moments, but unfortunately we will not be returning. We have stayed at Secrets in the past and have never had experiences like this, so we will continue choosing that route.

We have just returned from a week long vacation to Sunrise.
This trip was extraordinary. From start to finish, it was wonderful.
This resort is family-oriented with every activity focused on family and togetherness. There is not a casino, and the evening shows are over by 9:30pm. There is a night club which opens at 10, but only s a couple of days a week. If looking for a party resort, this likely isn't the one for you. Similarly, if you are looking for a beach resort, you won't like this one. This is more of a pool resort. There is a lot of seaweed at the beach and in the water close to the beach. Reading other reviews before going had us concerned about some of the topics below, but here are our thoughts on them:
Staff
I have never been anywhere where the staff went so far out of their way to make you feel welcome and to help you. Each one seemed to genuinely enjoy their job, and they loved to share things about the resort with you. We had occasion where we had to call the Hotel Doctor, and all the staff was incredible. Compassionate, problem solving, thoughtful. The Doctor was amazing, and spoken perfect English. Our party member even got a Get Well Soon card from the resort the next day.
The staff at the restaurants, desks, housekeeping, security, golf carts, pools etc...all were the same in their enthusiasm.
Golf Carts
The cart system is awesome. There are actual bus stops around the property, and pre-defined routes. Frequency is often, and all the carts will hold 10 people plus.
Restaurants
There are so many restaurants to choose from, and they are all great. They go out of their way to accomodate food allergies. The menus are diverse and there are so many options to choose from. Agra, Trattoria and Asadero are just wonderful.
Gondola breakfast buffet is less busy than Bugambilias, and the atmosphere is nicer, although they each have similar food. Reservations for dinner were easily made on the app, two days before. Trattoria and Momo Teppan were the hardest to get. Asadero and Pier 8 were the most fun, with musicians playing during dinner. The dinner buffet has a selection of dishes from all different nationalities which makes it lots of fun.
Housekeeping
They were very attentive, and returned several times a day to refresh your towels etc.. Kept rooms stocked with beer, water, etc...
Rooms
We had an ocean view room with an incredible view. The rooms were clean, AC worked well. There were no bugs in the rooms at all. They were spotless.
Wifi
Very strong throughout the resort, including at the pools.
Sales Pitches/Timeshare
Some reviews talk about being badgered, but we did not find this the case. We got one phone call to the room, and then just at check out. It was all low--pressure sales which was easy to decline.
The App
This has everything you might need. Restaurant reservations are made from here, you can check the days entertainment, order poolside food etc...
Pools
Large, fun, spotless, warm. There are three main pools, two with swim-up bars. The one is connected to the kids pool, and it is a lot warmer than the other two. There are lots of places to eat around the pools, so getting lunch is easy and fast. Or you can order from a server to get poolside service, but it's far easier to visit one of the poolside restaurants where you can grab something and go back to your lounger.

This is a long post but people need to know what they are getting themselves into. We stayed for 5 nights. We have a low level timeshare with palace. Which is ok. But honestly I have questions as to why discounts online seem to be better than with their member price. That was the first issue we brought up. The second issue was the perks we were to have on our account 90% of the time did not work or were incorrect. And we spent hours being rerouted to different desks and different people and being told so many different things I couldn't even keep track. Every single time we had to go to a front desk for something, it was at least 30 minutes to an hour ordeal. The communication between the staff and buildings was abysmal. And we had kids with us which unfortunately they had to wait with us through all of our debacles and they couldn't even go enjoy themselves. In order to book or get bracelets for anything all party members had to be present. There has to be a better way to do that because their current way is terrible.
On a positive note, the the staff at the spa was amazing. I booked through the spa directly and had zero issues. Do not book through the app or with the planners, go directly to the source. The ladies are amazing and accommodating. The whole family loved the spa.
The rooms were decent. The cleaning staff and food service staff was very nice and helpful. The food was always excellent. So it could have been a great experience but their poor customer service really put a bad taste in our mouths. Along with the fact we spent a good chunk of our vacation trying to fix problems that should have never existed to begin with.

Best place for a family resort. My son had food allergies and this has been the only stress free resort where they took his allergies in consideration and prepared everything with extra care and safety. Our waiter was Christian and he was amazing and so friendly. He would notice what we needed and before we even asked he would bring it to us. The food was so fresh in the buffet area all the time. The restaurants in all the locations were beyond amazing and food was incredible. I would so rate this 10/10 for families and couples.

Our New Year’s Couples getaway (Dec 30, 2025 – Jan 5, 2026) was unforgettable, largely thanks to the phenomenal staff who made us feel like family. At Nizuc Lobby & Arrival, William provided a personable check-in and room upgrade, while bellhops Ramon, Ernesto, and Eduardo gave us a warm "welcome home" greeting, treating our bags with respect alongside Maximo, who ensured seamless transit, and Alexis Morgan, who kindly recognized us at The Grand. Our Planning & Sales experience was flawless thanks to Melissa Moreno’s helpful credit activation, Josabeth’s seamless booking of three couples' massages and salon services, and Geraldine and Moira’s welcoming, attractive presentations. The Dining & Nightlife team truly elevated our stay. At El Manglar, hostess Cecila personalized our mornings by name, while Armando and Hecner memorized our orders and asked about our son, with great support from Brian. We enjoyed outstanding service from Isaiah and Alfredo at Palapa Asadero (don't miss the mashed potatoes and berry salad!), Denis at Momo Teppanyaki, and Guadalupe at the Nizuc Bar. When we struggled with New Years Eve dinner reservations, David from PR worked magic to secure our spot. That special Caravao NYE dinner was made flawless by manager Didre and our attentive team: Alejandro, Alejandro, Alexis, and Maximo. The out-of-the-world VIP NYE arena party was perfectly serviced by waitress Guadalupe, who quickly handled nearby spills. The energy continued at the Nightclubs, expertly led by manager Noe and driven by servers Alexis, Regina, Loida (the absolute kindest), Brian (who even found us on the dance floor at Noir), and Anabel, who expertly anticipated refills. Club servers Alexis, Briant, and Hebander kept our glasses full, security guards Carlos and Nestor kept us safe with a smile, and bartenders Andres, Jhonatan, Tony, and Oscar flawlessly served large crowds. A massive, heartfelt shout-out goes to Carlos Moreno—you welcome us back home each time we see you and are so genuine in your interactions. People like you are exactly what makes Moon Palace our choice each time !The Unique Day Club team was equally incredible, led by the ever-smiling manager Alexis. Servers Karla and Alison warmly remembered us from prior trips, Kenia anticipated our exact pacing, Melisa masterfully handled unruly guests, and bartenders Natanael and Ernesto crafted a delicious custom strawberry-coconut shot. Finally, special thanks to Moraima and Denisse at the Nizuc Spa for perfect manicures and pedicures, Jair for jogging back to return my husband's forgotten watch and phone, and golf cart driver Arturo for the animal spotting and Spanish practice. The soundtrack to our trip was phenomenal: DJ Wilbert delivered seamless transitions, and DJs Carlos and Katy were the sole reason we booked this trip after seeing their work last year on FB and Insta—their final night set at Noir kept the crowd pumping. We cannot wait to return to Moon Palace very soon to celebrate my 40th birthday!

An absolute all inclusive heaven! The staff is very friendly, helpful, attentive and hard-working delivering an excellent service! Special thank you to Cornelio from Los Caporales, but literally every person who we met there deserves a praise 👏 🙌 The grounds and rooms are kept clean, food and drinks are fresh and tasty! Overall great experience! Our room had a joint door to someone else's room and there was a gap so we could hear the neighbours. Apart from that there was nothing else negative to say about our stay.
Farnoosh
Our experience at Moon Palace Nizuc was unfortunately very disappointing.
The food quality was very low with extremely limited variety. It felt like you had to force yourself to choose something just to eat, rather than enjoying the meals.
The staff around the pools were very unprofessional. If you tipped them, they treated you well; if you didn’t, they completely ignored you.
We were a group of 12 people and had a terrible experience with the tour desk. At 7:00 a.m., they called our room and woke us up, telling us we had a $400 credit we could use through the hotel. However, when we went there, they said that because only one person from our group was taking a tour, they would not provide any service at all. They also refused access to the other hotel (Splash) for that reason. The staff at the tour desk were very rude and disrespectful. Later, they changed their story and said we only had $100 credit, even though they had woken us up early for this.
Another issue was the pool service: if you tip, you get attention; if you don’t, you are basically invisible.
The only positive points were the Brazilian restaurant and the Japanese restaurant, which were both good. The coffee shop in the lobby was also nice.
Overall, considering the poor food quality and the unprofessional and rude behavior of some staff, we would not recommend this hotel. We expected a much better experience.
Prasad Rao
Excellent all inclusive resort. We were there for 5 days and enjoyed every moment of it. It is very clean and well maintained. Staff are excellent. Multiple restaurants with great food. We got the beach view room which was even better with great views of sunrise daily.

A group of friends and I stayed at Unico 2087 and it was amazing! We took a cooking class with Chef Angela and a mixology class where we learned the origin of tequila.I had a spa visit with Yolanda who did a wonderful job helping me to relax. The food was great, as well! Over all, the best part about the trip was the service and the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The staff at the pool were diligent and fun. Alberto and Alam were the best! The men who organized group activities at the pool was great too! If there were any complaints, it would be the beach being covered in seaweed, but that is because we traveled during their off season. However, they were always doing their best to clean it up for everyone! I definitely recommend this resort, especially if you like a chill, quiet hang out environment.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our honeymoon somewhere relaxed, luxurious and hospitable - Unico fit the bill and then some! From the delicious food, tasty drinks, beautiful grounds and excellent overall service - everything was top notch! Our personal concierge, Laura was the icing on this beautiful cake! She was warm, personable, always readily available and made our entire stay comfortable and enjoyable. We depended on her for everything from special room requests, to reservations at restaurants and other amenities. We were able to experience each restaurant on site, have a private Mixology Class, receive a blissful couple's massage, attend a special dinner event, indulge in a lover's breakfast in bed and thoroughly enjoy every inch of the resort with ease because of Laura. Seeing her around the property, we were always met with her radiant smile and a great hug. Unico is one of a kind! My husband and I definitely plan to return in the future.

My wife and I just returned from our second stay at UNICO, and somehow this trip managed to top our first! We originally visited four years ago for our honeymoon and decided to come back this year to celebrate our anniversary. We had an incredible experience from start to finish.
The spa was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed our couples massage. The poolside service was also excellent. Alfredo, who took care of us at the quiet pool, was another highlight of our trip and helped make our time by the pool even more enjoyable.
The highlight of our stay, however, was our concierge, Eduardo. He was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our entire trip. When we arrived, our room was not the room type we had booked, and Eduardo immediately worked to get us into the correct room. He was always available to answer our questions and even helped rearrange some of our dinner reservations so we could make the most of our stay and try all of the amazing food at the different restaurants.
We had such a great experience and are already looking forward to another trip back. We would highly recommend UNICO to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent food, service, and hospitality!

We had the best time at Unico, would definitely return! Javier and Rodrigo made our stay feel like true luxury. They were on top of all our needs and we could not have asked for a better team. We always had a space at the pool reserved, dinner reservations were set, and all the little tiny things we could even think about were taken care of promptly. The best guys and the best service! The resort is perfectly walkable, and getting around is easy. We enjoyed the swim up pool, water aerobics, pool side service, and relaxing each day. Dinner at the steak house is something we still talk about! From the appetizers to the steaks to the desserts, everything was phenomenal. Each day had new activities and the staff were on top of it with the energy! The spa experience was crazy, never have we had a true deep tissue massage before is the consensus we came up with. Those ladies sent us to another universe! Truly truly recommend if you are looking for a romantic getaway!

We just got back from an amazing trip from UNICO 2087. Celebrating a friends birthday over a long weekend. This was our first time taking a short 4 night stay but it was amazing! Our butlers Roger and Flores took care of everything from well before we arrived till the day we left. Hotel is amazing, great food and entertainment. Staff is awesome the moment we got off our private shuttle. All expectations were met and as they told us they take care of everything so we don’t worry about anything. We will be back soon and will request Roger and Flores to take care of us.

We spent a full week in Cancún as a family (three people), and our experience at the Hyatt was excellent in every respect. The hotel has been recently renovated, and this is evident in every detail: the property feels brand‑new, all rooms offer ocean views, and the furniture, accessories, and finishes convey a sense of modernity, comfort, and quality.
Customer service stood out from the very first day. The bellman provided helpful recommendations and always showed a friendly and professional attitude, making our stay even more pleasant.
The hotel’s food and beverage offering is one of its strongest points.
The international buffet is very complete, featuring excellent‑quality products and a presentation that feels more like a restaurant than a traditional buffet.
The Mexican and Asian restaurants stand out for their exceptional quality: top‑tier ingredients, elaborate preparations, beautifully designed spaces, and service comparable to high‑end dining establishments.
Pier 12, the poolside restaurant, offers consistently fresh and perfectly cooked fish—ideal for a relaxed lunch without compromising on quality.
The culinary team also demonstrated outstanding personalized attention: they prepared a special dish for me due to health issues, and on our last night the chef created a unique plate for my wife, designed so she could take an authentic taste of Mexico back to Italy. A memorable gesture we deeply appreciated.
The hotel’s facilities are modern, comfortable, and impeccably clean. In our room, there was a small water leak from the shower door, but the maintenance team fixed it immediately after we reported it, showing efficiency and attention to detail.
Overall, the Hyatt offers a top‑tier experience thanks to its impeccable service, exceptional dining, newly renovated facilities, and outstanding cleanliness. A highly recommended hotel for anyone seeking comfort, quality, and truly personalized attention.

Beautiful hotel! Lovely amenities, friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous location. Had a wonderful week there with my two kids and a group of friends and their families. Enough activities to keep everyone occupied and also space to have down time.
The food was average (a few good items but overall not the best, in my opinion)... I did appreciate that they provided halal food which matters to my family. I don't drink so can't comment on the drinks. Overall though, a fantastic experience, worth the price! Recommend!

The good - Great service, clean hotel and nice beach. They do a good job of cleaning the sargassum and the water color is amazing. The employees are very helpful and work hard with a smile. If you are looking to relax and do nothing the service and cleanliness is really nice.
The bad - Not worth the price point. I normally don't complain about All-inclusive food but we purposely paid more to come here for an upscale dining experience and were disappointed.
Not enough pool chairs for the number of guests. There are more Paid Loungers than free chairs. *Hotel is constantly trying to upsell, more than any other hotel I have stayed (Loungers, Bottles of wine, Massages, Tomahawk Steak, bottle service, access to private sports bar room needs additional charge.
The Flow is odd, you have to walk very far to get down to the beach and one of the gates is closed 70% of the day on the left side. Also, the public restrooms are limited and not close the areas you would expect.
Entertainment is ok, but limited to specific hours and the best shows are at 8PM when most people are still finishing dinner.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun Review
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this resort. Here are the highlights and a few areas that could be improved.
Positives:
* Exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely kind, friendly, and eager to help.
* Spacious, very comfortable rooms with excellent beds that made for a great night’s sleep.
* A stunning, luxurious lobby where a pianist performs each evening, creating a beautiful atmosphere.
* Excellent nightly entertainment, including incredible Cirque du Soleil-style acrobatic performances and some very talented musicians.
* Very good food overall, especially at Spices, which serves outstanding breakfasts and lunches.
* A fantastic coffee bar with excellent cappuccinos and espresso.
* One of the best hotel gyms we’ve experienced—well-equipped and spacious.
* A beautiful, very large pool with plenty of room to swim and relax.
Negatives:
* There are not enough beach chairs. The resort encourages guests to rent expensive cabanas, yet many of those cabanas remain unoccupied while guests struggle to find regular loungers.
* There were quite a few heavily intoxicated guests around the pool throughout the day, and the noise level could become excessive.
* Upon check-in, there was a fairly aggressive sales pitch for tours and other extras, which wasn’t the most welcoming way to begin our vacation.
Despite these drawbacks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The outstanding staff, comfortable accommodations, excellent food, and beautiful facilities made this a memorable vacation.

Our honeymoon at Hyatt Zilara Cancun was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The hospitality was exceptional—every staff member we encountered was genuinely kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel special. You can tell they truly care about their guests.
The food exceeded our expectations, with plenty of delicious options at every meal, and the drinks were excellent. Whether we were relaxing by the pool, enjoying dinner, or spending time at the beach, the service was consistently outstanding.
The entertainment team did an amazing job keeping the resort fun and lively without ever feeling overwhelming. There was always something to do, and every show and activity added to the experience.
The beach was beautiful and well maintained, the pool was spotless, and the entire resort was incredibly clean. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping everything in top condition.
Overall, Hyatt Zilara Cancun gave us the perfect honeymoon. Between the incredible service, delicious food and drinks, beautiful beach, fun entertainment, and immaculate property, we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive getaway.

Chani Palace
After booking this resort, I’ll admit I was extremely nervous. I deep-dived into the reviews and got worried about the beach and some people’s negative experiences. But I have to say—the hotel truly exceeded our expectations.
Yes, the beach directly by the hotel is very small, and the water comes right up to it. However, if you walk literally two minutes (if that), right across the way there’s a really nice small beach area where you can relax and play. It was perfect for our family’s needs and absolutely beautiful. I also loved that you could sit on a sun chair near the water without sitting directly in the sand—perfect for anyone who hates the sensory overload of sand.
The rooms are on the smaller side, and the beds are quite small. Definitely do not expect a queen-size bed—it’s smaller than a full and not ideal for two people. Keep that in mind. That said, they brought in a rollaway bed for my son, which made a huge difference and worked out well for us.
The staff was incredibly friendly, sweet, and accommodating. We have some dietary restrictions, and I emailed the hotel ahead of time. They were fully prepared for us upon arrival and were amazing about meeting our needs.
The location of the hotel is fantastic—right by the main area. It was so nice to be able to step outside and really experience Mexico, feel the city vibe, and not feel isolated like you sometimes do at large luxury resorts. You truly get the best of both worlds: luxury inside, real Mexico just steps away.
One thing I do want to mention is the entertainment. At least the Caribbean show was definitely not family-friendly. I genuinely felt like I had accidentally taken my son to a strip club, which made me hesitant to bring him to any of the other shows afterward. That’s something the hotel could absolutely improve.
Overall, we had a beautiful time. My son loved the kids’ program, and despite a few drawbacks, we would definitely come back again.
Lauren Finn
Extremely disappointing customer service. The phone line is constantly "temporarily closed" and Palace have refused to refund us or move our booking, despite repeatedly saying since early May that the hotel would be opening "next week". We're now nearly in July and still have no certainty.
We arrive in early July and genuinely don't know where we'll be staying. Instead of looking forward to an expensive holiday, we're dreading it.
We understand that sargassum isn't Palace's fault, but when guests are paying 5-star resort prices, the overall customer experience matters. Reports of an unbearable smell around the pool and dining areas, together with concerns about the health effects of decomposing sargassum, make many guests understandably anxious about their holiday.
We are returning Palace guests, but after this experience we will never stay at a Palace resort again. Once they have your money, it feels like they no longer care.
Palace need to do the right thing: move all July/August 2026 Playacar Palace guests to other Palace resorts and give people at least a few weeks' notice. If they don't, they risk seriously damaging their reputation as more disappointed customers share their experiences in reviews.

Our experience at Playacar Palace Resort was absolutely wonderful, from arrival to departure. Everything was perfect.
The service from the entire hotel staff was exceptional — everyone was friendly, attentive, and very polite. The hotel itself is cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a family stay. The food is amazing (you can tell by the number of photos I added to this review 🤭). The hotel is also extremely clean.
The restaurant staff were lovely, especially Elvia, who was always kind, friendly, and took the time to talk with us.
The MoMo restaurant, with its oriental cuisine, is simply divine. Abner, who served us both times we dined there, was very pleasant, friendly, and extremely polite.
At the pool area, all the staff were always attentive, making sure we were well taken care of. Juliana, who served us for two days, was also incredibly kind and courteous — actually, everyone was amazing.
A truly wonderful hotel — 10/10. We will definitely be back!

Great trip, been there many times. The service, food and whole experience this time was what we have come to expect from Palace Resorts. I do think the food at of the Palace Resorts has improved over the last few years and as a chef, I think it is excellent. A couple for special shout outs for above and beyond service.
Dolce in the spa was awesome, got the haircut I've been trying to get for a few years, absolutely correct on her first attempt. Very nice, very friendly, and very talented!
On the beach/pool service Sylvia was fabulous! We loved her!
Also, I need to give a shout out to Karen, who is in customer service and advocated for us for a correction in a minor error with our reservation, which Palace Resorts came through very well fixing the minor issue.
Overall, I highly recommend!
Steph Church
It’s always a pleasure to stay at the Palace! Our favorite staff members are Perla at the pool bar. She is always attentive, quick, and ready to help! Perla makes our trip! We also greatly enjoy “Almond” with the entertainment department. She is always so full of energy and smiling and genuinely enjoys getting the guest involved. Oscar by the pool bar keeps our drinks full and always has a little show to put on. It’s really always such a wonderful experience.

Our stay at Beach Palace Resort was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional service. The entire staff was attentive and friendly, but Joshua stood out as by far our favorite server. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made every meal extra special—we genuinely looked forward to seeing him each day!
The resort itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious and clean. We loved lounging by the beach and the pool, both of which were peaceful and never overcrowded.
Dining was a highlight—every restaurant offered fresh, delicious food with a great variety. The rooftop bar and views were unforgettable, especially at sunset.
We left completely relaxed and already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you, Beach Palace, for an incredible experience—and a huge thank you to Joshua for making it even more memorable!

This was our very first family trip to Mexico and my first time visiting the country, and I’m absolutely thrilled that we chose Beach Palace Cancun. Everything about this hotel is simply perfect!
I want to especially highlight the exceptional service and the kindness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. Their genuine care made us feel truly welcome and taken care of every moment of our stay.
The food was also outstanding — delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety to choose from. We chose the all-inclusive package and were very pleased with everything it offered.
One of the biggest highlights for our family was the kids’ club. My 4.5-year-old son absolutely loved it! The staff gave him so much attention, played different games with him, and even gave him a special souvenir at the end. He spent most of the day there with joy, fully engaged and happy in a fun, caring, and educational environment.
Overall, we are very satisfied with our vacation and are already planning to come back again in the future. Thank you, Beach Palace Cancun, for such a wonderful experience!

Great experience! The staff is absolutely amazing. Friendly, professional and so much fun. We loved Damasio at the pool bar, Andres, Ernesto and Gabriela at Tequila restaurant at breakfast and lunch, they absolutely made this stay amazing for us. Great, great people and the hotel is super clean. Totally recommend.
Nate Swiss
We had a fabulous time with our large group (six in our family and five in my brother's family)! Both of us had the combined rooms (walk-through door) between the kid and adult room. The maids were so great each day, and they were very quick to resolve any issues we found (clogged toilet, accidentally locked safe, or the like).
The food was so tasty, and of course: plentiful. My little ones were so happy to be able to get "unlimited" fruit smoothies and ice cream whenever they wanted! The different restaurants did a great job trying to seat the eleven of us at one table, or sometimes multiple tables right next to each other.
The hotel is well seated with the beach right there! It would take us only 60 seconds from our hotel room (depending on the elevator wait). We also had a great time with the activities and events. We played many sports (beach soccer and flag football, water volleyball and polo) and also enjoyed the mechanical surfboard. The crowd favorite was the inflatable obstacle course in the pool; so fun!!
We will definitely be coming again!

An amazing family hotel! Huge grounds and comfortable rooms.
A fantastic selection of food for every taste at any time of day or night, which is super convenient when traveling with kids. We loved the kids' club- the children made slime, decorated cookies, played, and had a wonderful time there, and the staff are very welcoming. A great family-oriented entertainment program where you never get bored.
Honestly, I don't even know how anyone could find flaws. cleanliness, food, grounds, and overall comfort are top-notch. If you are looking for a hotel for a vacation with children, this is, in my opinion, the ideal choice.

We had an excellent stay at Hyatt Ziva! The resort was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was amazing. What truly made our vacation unforgettable was the exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to take care of us and made us feel welcome every day. A special thank you to Alejandro, Jean at La Bastille, Manager Genaro Gomez, Chef Ricardo Mejia, Hostess Desiree, Sous Chef Monserrat, Sous Chef Aldo, and Santiago, the Culinary Concierge. Your kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay so special. We highly recommend Hyatt Ziva to anyone looking for an incredible all inclusive experience, and we can’t wait to come back.

Highly Recommended for Muslim Travelers – Excellent Halal Support! We just returned from a family vacation at Hyatt Ziva Cancun and wanted to write this review specifically to help fellow Muslim travelers. If you are looking for a resort that genuinely understands and accommodates halal dietary needs, this is one of the best options in Cancun.Halal Food Highlights:The resort offers solid halal options, which was the main reason we booked our stay.
All chicken breast served across the resort is halal certified — this was a huge relief.
Staff can provide halal beef, including delicious rib-eye steak upon request.
The kitchen team is very willing to customize dishes to meet our halal restrictions. They were flexible and attentive.
What impressed us most was that every time we dined, the staff proactively asked about our food restrictions and guided us to safe options. This level of awareness and care from the entire team made us feel comfortable and respected throughout our stay.
On the drinks side, the bartenders were happy to make non-alcoholic versions, but the standard mocktail selection was limited and not very exciting. More refreshing, flavorful non-alcoholic drink options would be a great addition.Overall, we left very happy with the food services and the genuine effort the team made for us. Hyatt Ziva Cancun has earned our trust as a Muslim-friendly resort. We would definitely return and strongly recommend it to other Muslim families looking for a worry-free halal experience in Cancun.
Highly recommend for halal food options. We stayed at Turquoise tower and it is definitely worth the extra money. Excellent service and staff.

The resort and service were great. When checking out they billed me for extra massages that belonged to a different room. Other then that, everything was great. We stayed at the Turquiose tower for 6 nights and got free use of the spa. The gym was more than adequate and the classes offered was very good. The food was 3/5 and on the smaller side. The nightly entertainment was 2/5 and its tailored mostly to kids. Overall it was ok.

We stayed here for our babymoon, and everything was amazing from the moment we walked in. We ended up upgrading to Inspira, and it was absolutely worth it. Our butlers, Brandon and Pingting, made the whole experience so much easier and memorable. They handled all our dinner reservations and even surprised us with a rose-petal bubble bath for my wife after dinner.
All of the restaurants were amazing Kopai, Cala Di Luna, Takeshi, Mercado 19, El Suspiro, Cilento, Alba, and Los Abrazos. The food at all of the restaurants was amazing and left me wanting more. I cannot emphasize how great the service was everywhere. Everyone seemed genuinely wanting to contribute to making your stay there absolutely perfect.
Housekeeping was amazing. Everything seemed perfectly set every time we made it back to our room.
Atelier was truly an amazing experience and hope to return in the future.
Special thanks to everyone that made our stay memorable:

The general hospitality of all the ATELIER staff is outstanding. We were greeted with smiling faces and a cool towel.
Our check in process was outstanding and we immediately began relaxing from our flight from Mexico City.
I found the property the infrastructure and all the buildings maintained to the highest
standards. I'm a class A commercial building professional and I should know.
It takes a village to raise a child but it takes a small army to maintain and serve the client at this level. Everywhere I went I was greeted and saw happy faces of the workers here.
That's not always the case when I travel.
We enjoyed the multiple meals we had at the resort restaurants. There are 12 to choose from. Plus 2 coffee shops and 4 or 5 bars to choose from.
All inclusive also means nobody is excluded. The people of the world was well represented in the resort's demographic.
That was another thing I appreciated.
If there were two staff members that were standouts it was the two gentlemen that provided Butler service for us during our stay. They were so kind and attentive..
They were genuinely concerned about our experience always willing to offer suggestions or solutions. We communicated with them throughout our visit multiple times a day. Domingo and Alexis surpassed our expectations. Domingo and Alexis were always there assisting in reservations for the spa or for dinner or making suggestions for the events going on in the resort.
We went on a snorkel trip and the transportation and the handoff to the dive company was seamless. I love when there's no surprises
With our wonderful experience we bought an INSPIRA membership. We didn't feel inconvenienced or pressured at all.
Our membership advisor Alejandra was up front and very frank about the transaction.. We were given the space to make the decision over time.
I appreciated that Alejandra and staff was respectful and professional.
All in all a wonderful experience and
we will of course be returning to this magnificent paradise as soon as possible.
Thank you Atelier for your outstanding
hospitality.

We LOVE Atelier! We bought in as Inspira members immediately after coming our first time in 2022. We have come back every year since then for our anniversary, and even upgraded our membership in 2023 because we are huge fans of the rooftop suites. We had butler service after we became members, and they have all been good, but the past two trips we’ve used Suyin & Yatze, and they have really gonr above and beyond! They’ve started communicating a week before our trip to line out everything we wanted/needed, made reservations, arranged flowers for our anniversary, surprised us with rose petals and a bubble bath, and just made sure we’ve had an excellent time. We will be requesting them on all trips and recommending them to everyone!

We went to Atelier Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon and it has been fantastic! The service has been so incredible, the workers are always available and happy to help with whatever we need. Especially at the beach there is always someone available to help us find a good spot with a beautiful view of the ocean. We’ve also really enjoyed our experiences by the relaxing pool! There has never been a struggle to find comfortable spots by the pool and the service has been amazing especially from staff like Manuel at bikini azul in the restaurant and Julio at the poolside who has gone above and beyond always making sure we have drinks and snacks when needed. We would definitely love to come back and would definitely recommend to anyone considering coming to atelier playa mujeres!

We went to Atelier for honeymoon and booked the undying package that came with a romantic dinner on the beach. One of the resort’s representatives, Luis picked us up from our room before our dinner and walked us to our dinner location. During this time we had our own mini photoshoot. When we arrived our waiter Julio took very good care of us from start to finish. He always made sure our glasses and belly’s were always full. He also took numerous videos and pictures. They made our experience amazing. One of the most romantic nights of our lives.

Highly recommend Almare if you are looking for a quieter more intimate adults only resort. The property is a little on the smaller side, but it works well with significantly less people than larger resorts. Food options were pretty solid, however sometimes I would have liked one more unique lunch or dinner option now and again. That said the food was great, and meals never felt rushed, nor felt like dinning in a packed room. That alone was amazing. My biggest praise goes to several of the staff who went above and beyond for us the entire trip. I have to shout out Claudia, Omar, and Karen as some of the sweetest and most attentive people we had the privilege of meeting during our stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Almare Resort. We loved that it’s a smaller, boutique-style resort with only about 90 rooms. It never felt crowded, and there were so many beautiful places to relax with a cup of coffee, read a book, or simply unwind while enjoying the incredible views.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. The general manager and the chef greeted us at the dock, which was such a thoughtful and memorable welcome.
The food was outstanding—creative, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious. I’ve stayed at Grand Velas in Mexico, which is widely considered one of the finest all-inclusive resorts in the world, and I honestly felt that Almare offered even better, more personalized service and more creative cuisine.
The drinks were excellent, and we never had to wait. The entire resort was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly peaceful. One of the highlights of our trip was getting to know many of the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, friendly, and seemed to truly care that every guest had an exceptional experience.
You can tell this resort is exceptionally well managed. Every detail is thoughtfully handled, and the team doesn’t miss a beat. If you’re looking for a relaxing, adults-only all-inclusive resort with outstanding service, incredible food, and a tranquil atmosphere, I highly recommend Almare. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and can’t wait to return.

We’ve been to isla Mujeres many times over the years, but have never stayed at Almare. We haven’t been super fond of all-inclusive resorts in the past, but are so happy we gave this one a try. We will definitely go back many times. The beach was beautiful. The food could not have been better. Every single thing we tried, which was most of it was perfect, The drinks were not watered down. The staff Claudia, Karen, Chardonnay.(Which isn’t actually that, but it sounds like it) And David and Eddie were top-notch! Karyn even showed my husband how to fold the towels in that pretty little roll up. We can’t wait to go back!!

Our stay at Almare Hotel Isla Mujeres was absolutely amazing. We recommend this hotel 100%!
The property is spotless, the staff is incredible, and the customer service is truly outstanding. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay.
The food was absolutely delicious, with great quality and plenty of variety. Would we come back? Absolutely, without a doubt!
If you’re thinking about staying here, make sure to stop by Alvento Bar and ask for Karen. She gave us the best service we received during our trip. She is such a warm, kind, and genuine person who made us feel right at home. We already miss her!
Thank you, Karen, for making our vacation even more special. Sending you greetings from Dallas, Texas! We can’t wait to come back.

Our stay at Alamore in Isla Mujeres was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, every employee made us feel genuinely welcome with outstanding professionalism and hospitality. A special thank you to our amazing concierges, Carlos and Andress, for making our stay seamless, to Karen for her incredible beachside service and wonderful drinks, and to Ivan at SeaSalt Restaurant for providing such attentive and friendly service. The resort is beautiful, the beach is private, peaceful, and breathtaking, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Thank you to everyone at Alamore for making our vacation unforgettable—we can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise!

Our stay at Moon Palace The Grand was incredible! Everything about the resort exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
One of the highlights was the Grand Buffet. Veronica made the best spicy chicken tacos I’ve ever had—they were absolutely amazing! She was so kind, and her food was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The food throughout the resort was excellent, with so many delicious options to choose from.
The WIRED Lounge was another favorite. The arcade was fun, modern, and completely free, making it an awesome place to spend time between swimming and other activities.
We also loved seeing all the wildlife around the resort. Spotting birds, coatis, iguanas, and other animals roaming the beautiful grounds made the experience even more special.
The resort is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and there is always something to do. If you’re looking for an unforgettable all-inclusive vacation, I highly recommend Moon Palace The Grand. We can’t wait to come back!

This place is amazing!! Definitely get the private transfer to/from airport booked through hotel, travel was a breeze! Really prompt, friendly service throughout our stay. Nice variety of restaurants, plus more to check out at the sister resorts (quick, easy shuttle from lobby to lobby). Fun shows each night. Our kids enjoyed the variety of pool options, from Waterpark with big slides and lazy river to multiple other pools and beach options to switch it up. Nice café option for coffee and sandwiches/snacks between meals. Best all inclusive weve stayed at! (3 kids, ages 9-11)
Edgar Arreola
Overall, we had a great experience at Moon Palace Cancun! We came as a family, and the kids had an amazing time. There was plenty for them to do, especially the water park, and they really enjoyed the whole resort experience.
The service throughout our stay was great, and we enjoyed trying all the different restaurants and food options around the resort. We had three vegans in our group, and while there were actually quite a few vegan options available, my one suggestion would be to add more protein-rich vegan choices. A lot of the vegan meals were more vegetable or carb based, so having more options with tofu, beans, lentils, tempeh, or other plant-based proteins would make a big difference.
The only other downside was the beach during our stay. There was quite a bit of seaweed in the water, so unfortunately we weren't really able to enjoy swimming in the ocean. Of course, that's something that's difficult for the resort to control.
Other than those two things, we had a great family trip. The kids loved it, the service was great, we enjoyed the variety of restaurants, and there was always something to do. We would definitely consider coming back!
Joanne Wang
This resort is beautiful, but the service completely ruined our stay.
We spent the entire afternoon waiting for a callback from the front desk that never came. We were transferred to the front desk six different times, and no one ever answered the phone.
Check-in was also a disappointing experience. I couldn’t quite understand the front desk agent’s accent, so I didn’t immediately hand over my luggage ticket. Instead of being patient, she said she had “already said it five times” in a very annoyed and rude tone.
To make matters worse, our room was filled with an unbelievable number of mosquitoes. We requested that someone come spray the room, but no one ever showed up.
It’s such a shame because the resort itself is gorgeous, but the customer service is among the worst I’ve experienced. For a luxury resort, this level of service is completely unacceptable.
We will not be returning, and I would not recommend staying here unless the management makes significant improvements to guest service.
Marcelo Orellana
When we arrived we were told check in isnt until 3pm, mind you we arrived 8am and had a long flight. We had to upgrade our room to a swim up suite and then we were able to check into pur room immediately.
We chose Moon Palace Cancun for our first trip after seeing the beautiful photos of the beach, resort amenities, and nightly entertainment. The property itself is very nice, the staff is friendly, and there are plenty of activities for families.
However, there were a couple of disappointments. When we arrived, there were no evening shows or entertainment scheduled during our stay, which was one of the main reasons we booked the resort. Also, the beach on this side of Cancun was not what we expected. It was covered with a lot of seaweed, and the water was brown rather than the clear turquoise color shown in many photos. If you're looking for that classic Caribbean beach experience, be aware that you may need to travel to other areas. We ended up taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres to enjoy the beautiful white sand and crystal-clear water.
Overall, it's a nice resort, but if beach quality and nightly shows are a big part of your vacation plans, it's worth doing a little extra research before booking.

We had an amazing stay at Le Blanc Cancun for our babymoon! The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make our trip special. The entire resort was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing — it felt like a home away from home.
The food was pretty good overall. The timeshare presentation was unexpected, but thankfully they weren’t pushy, and the package itself honestly wasn’t that bad.
Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing experience. The service and hospitality really stood out. We’d definitely come back and would want to try the Cabo one as well!

Our stay at Le Blanc was amazing! The service was exceptional, and so many team members made our trip unforgettable.
A huge thank you to Luis and Paulina for taking such great care of us with dinner reservations, daily updates, and thoughtful touches like preparing our bath. Gabriel kept our room neat and tidy. I love the bookmark! So many small but extra touches. Christian made every beach day perfect with great drink recommendations, endless ice water and pineapple juice, and my favorite coconut mojitos. When I wasn’t feeling well at Yama, Rafael went out of his way to make sure I had plenty of stomach-friendly options. Caesar made our meals at Blanc even better with his excellent recommendations, and Victor made our departure smooth and stress-free.
We also really enjoyed getting to know Yamile—she was so warm and welcoming and made our stay even more special.
It was hard to leave, but we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Expect perfection when you arrive at LeBlanc until the moment you leave.
From the service to the food, it's just a perfect vacation. But what makes it so perfect is the people that work there. There's so many amazing people that make your stay incredible. I wish I could remember everyone's names but here are just a few that made our stay exceptional this time:
Rogelio
Ingrid
Memo - butler
Lucinda -pool
Laura -pool
Jeanette - pool
Diane - pool
Majo -pool
Manny -Italian restaurant
Alberto- Asian restaurant
Mercedes- coffee shop
Karina- spa/salon
Linda - spa/salon
Mariana -spa/Salon
Ellie- spa/salon
Every bartender
Jorge - driver
And so many more!
Highly, highly recommend LeBlanc!

We just returned from a six night stay at Le Blanc Cancun. Having been to LBLC several times before, we were very excited to see how the east coast counterpart would stack up. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Le Blanc Cancun. Our Governor's Suite room was very clean and nicely appointed and well attended.
We really enjoyed that this location has three different pool locations, as opposed to LBLC, where theres just one massive pool area. Nothing wrong with that, we've greatly enjoyed that as well, but it was refreshingly less occupied at the Luna and Wind pools, which was especially nice for us being on the third floor, just a short walk from the Wind pool. One down side though is that there was very minimal pool attendant service at the Luna and Wind pools. There were several times we were at each pool for a few hours and had to run down to the Sol pool to get towels or go over to the bar to get a drink/order food. Of course, this wasn't a major deal, but it was clear that it wasn't the same level of attention/service as the main pool area.
Our meals were mostly fantastic. We especially enjoyed Yama and Bella as well as the coffee shop, which made fantastic hot and cold coffee drinks. The sweet treats at the coffee shop were a nice feature as well.
We were a little underwhelmed at our Blanc dinner where my steak was pretty tough, the oysters were about the size of a dime, and the brie appetizer was a soupy ramekin of brie rind. That was a miss for us, but otherwise we were pleased with the quality of the food, including room service, and of course the service was great as well.
The lobby bar service was also fantastic and the mocktails all around the resort really stood out. We aren't huge drinkers, and so it was really fun to try the crafted mocktails for which no effort was spared. The service at the bars was also phenomenal. It really feels warm and inviting, and this is another component that sets Le Blanc apart from its peers.
Special thanks to our butler team, Saúl and Roberto who were so kind and attentive. They both did a phenomenal job accommodating our requests for dinner reservations, a spa appointment, and having our room serviced at the most convenient times. Although we weren't surprised at this level of service, our butler team experience was the pleasant reminder as to why we've returned to Le Blanc locations and will continue to do so in the future! Huge thanks to Saúl and Roberto for their kindness and service!
Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and will likely return to this location sometime in the future!

I recently spent 7 days at LeBlanc Cancun with a friend on a girl’s trip in June 2026. This was her first experience at an all-inclusive resort so I was excited to share one of my favorite resorts with her. Previously I had only been to LeBlanc in Los Cabos so Cancun was new to me as well.
I have to say the trip was amazing from beginning to end! We felt welcomed & pampered from the moment we were picked up at the airport and walking into LeBlanc felt like walking into paradise which of course started off with the warm neck wrap & welcome cocktail. We stayed one night in a regular room then moved to a Governor’s suite as we were offered an upgrade. The room was beautiful and perfect for the relaxing pampering trip we were anticipating!
Our butlers (Juan and Rene) were amazing and took great care of us during the day and also in the evenings. So amazing to have your room set up at night with your preferred aromatherapy scents, pillow spray & chocolates. One day we had a bath drawn for the jacuzzi tub that overlooked the ocean & it was set up completely with bath salts, bubbles & rose petals.
We ate at every restaurant (some of them twice) and enjoyed every one of them. The service and food was impeccable in all but I will say Bella was our favorite. We also really enjoyed Terrazza as well with the outdoor eating experience. I have never experienced this level of service anywhere except at LeBlanc resorts.
The pools were great, not overcrowded and very clean. We never had an issue getting chairs and the pool staff took great care of us too.
Oh and then there is the spa!!! Total luxury and pampering!! We went twice during our stay and both experiences were so exquisite.
Each night after dinner we went to the Cavo Bar and spent a few hours enjoying the entertainment options there. The staff & bartenders there were the best, took great care of us & made every night fun. Thank you Maira, Raul, Ivan, Zacarias, Alex & Jhonathan!! Loved our Cavo night & will definitely be back to see you.
We got to experience a beach canopy on our final day and that was a perfect end to a perfect trip. Thanks to Jesus and the rest of the staff there as well.
Just total luxury all around – have never felt so pampered and relaxed. Can’t wait to come back!
